Synopsis: For customers of Super Club, the largest high-volume, bulk-discount retailer in the country, membership has its privileges. For workers at the cavernous store, the most coveted honor is the "Employee of the Month" award, and having one's photo immortalized on the wall of fame in the staff lounge. Enter Zack Bradley and Vince Downey, two ultra competitive Super Club workers whose ten years of employment have resulted in drastically different career paths. While Vince--with the aid of his trusty sidekick Jorge--has advanced to become head cashier and winner of 17 consecutive "E of M" awards, Zack is the ultimate slacker whose scruffy appearance and laid back attitude has made him popular with his colleagues, but kept him stuck in the lowly ranks of the store's box boys. The duo's longtime rivalry comes to a bitter head when Amy--a beautiful new cashier with a reputation of only dating "Employee of the Month" winners--transfers to the store, immediately becoming the object of both Zack and Vince's affection and often comical gamesmanship. While Vince instantly impresses Amy with his crowd pleasing, flamboyant style behind his checkstand register, Zack's feeble attempts to charm his beautiful new co-worker quickly backfire against him. With the race to win Amy's affections slipping away, Zack determines his only chance rests in winning the store's next "Employee of the Month" award.

Starring: Dane Cook, Dax Shepard, Harland Williams, Brian George, Jessica Simpson

I had the chance to watch Employee of the Month one more time this week, and I totally enjoyed it. The first time I watched, it was over 3 years ago and this week, I had the same good laughs I had when I watched it those years ago.
Employee of the Month brings the story of Zack, a "box boy" working at a Super Club, the largest high-volume, bulk-discount retailer in the country. He tries to avoid responsibilities. Years before, he went for an internet venture and lost all of his own money and his grandmother's money, forcing them to live together. Since that event, he decided to take life in a very easy way, not being responsible at all.
He has some cool friends at his job. In fact, Zack and his friends enjoy some especial benefits from their work place. They have a secret crib where they spend their breaks, playing cards, drinking beer, spying other employees and having some fun.
Zack hates Vince, the "star" of this retailer. Vince has been the employee of the month for 17 months in a row. He's the fastest cashier of the retailer and he's proud about it. Zack plays pranks on him just because he loves it, he hates him to much to avoid it.
Everything changes when the retailer hires Amy, a new cashier. Zack and Vince will soon be involved in a personal competition to get Amy's attention. Zack gets the news that Amy has some attraction for the employees of the month, so he decides to win the award the month that is about to start.
All of his friends laugh histerically towards the news and decision of running for this award, since they know how irresponsible, always late and bad employee he is. He starts working hard to make it happen, but he learns fast how difficult is geting the "daily star" through the good deeds and hard work.
He finally sees the results of his hard work when he starts getting those daily stars and tie the results with Vince. The only problem is that he lost the vision on what matters the most... his friends. Amy also knew that he was doing it for her, because he thought she'd like him if he won the competition.
At the end, they run for the last competition. Zack has decided to run for the award just because he can do it for himself, not for someone else.
I'm not a huge fan of Jessica Simpson. I personally believe she's the perfect example of what a dumb blond bimbo really is. I'm glad that Dane Cook and Dax Shepard stole the show and just helped her to be part of it.
Some people criticized the film saying that it was extremely predictable. Yes, it was predictable. If you're running for the "Employee of the Month", and the title of the film is "Employee of the Month", what do you think is going to happen?! Some other people criticized that Dane Cook wasn't funny at all, and I personally believe that he was actually playing the "less" funny role in this film.
Yes, the film was predictable, and it was a silly comedy film, but totally fun and enjoyable to watch. It is one of those comedy films that makes the perfect evening at home, relaxing while watching it and eating some popcorn and a good drink. If you're looking for some silly laughs, and you don't mind watching Jessica Simpson playing his real personality, it will be a good option to watch.
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

Synopsis: 'The Departed' is set in South Boston, where the state police force is waging war on organized crime. Young undercover cop Billy Costigan (Leonardo DiCaprio) is assigned to infiltrate the mob syndicate run by gangland chief Costello (Jack Nicholson). While Billy is quickly gaining Costello's confidence, Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon), a hardened young criminal who has infiltrated the police department as an informer for the syndicate, is rising to a position of power in the Special Investigation Unit. Each man becomes deeply consumed by his double life, gathering information about the plans and counter-plans of the operations he has penetrated. But when it becomes clear to both the gangsters and the police that there's a mole in their midst, Billy and Colin are suddenly in danger of being caught and exposed to the enemy -- and each must race to uncover the identity of the other man in time to save himself.
Starring: Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, Mark Wahlberg, Jack Nicholson, Vera Farmiga
Directed by: Martin Scorsese
U.S. Rating: R
Simply amazing. Martin Scorsese directed one of the best action/thriller films in Hollywood, and it is not just my personal opinion. Four Oscars Awards (Best Picture, Best Director, Best Film Editing, and Best Adapted Screenplay) confirms the great production brought by this talented director and amazing cast.
Something I didn't know about The Departed is that it was a remake of the 2002 Hong Kong film Internal Affairs.
The film takes place in Boston, Massachusetts, where a powerful and ruthless Irish mob boss named Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson) leads his emporium of extortion and organized crime.
Frank introduces Colin Sullivan (Matt Damon) to this organize crime at a young age, along with other kids and he becomes like a father to Colin. Colin Sullivan enrolls with the Massachusetts State Police and becomes an important key tool for Frank playing the role of an insider, giving Frank as much information as he gets to protect Frank's business and be a step ahead from any possible police investigations or actions. Soon, Colin gets assigned to the Special Investigation Unit and will be in control of all special actions against Costello's organization.
In the other hand, Billy Costigan (Leonardo DiCaprio) graduated from Police Academy and applies for an undercover agent opportunity. He's been hired and protected under the secret lead and direction of Captain Queenan (Martin Sheen) & Sergeant Dignam (Mark Whalberg). Billy's assignment is to infiltrate Costello's organization, being part of it and helping Police to turn this organization down.
As both men infiltrate their organizations, war starts trying to identify the leaks and destroy them. At the end, due to a series of events, Colin Sullivan becomes a key part on Costello's detention special operation.
With an unpredictable and unexpected final, The Departed offers 2 hours and 30 minutes of great entertainment. Totally recommended!
What did I like from this movie?
1. The film brings the perfect triple combination: Great direction, strong plot and amazing cast
2. Amazing thriller, intense suspense and really good action scenes
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Absolutely nothing!
I would rate this movie with a 5/5

I've watched the three X-Men films (plus X-Men Origins: Wolverine) and I must say that I am a huge fan of every single film of this successful franchise.
X-Men has brought some of the best and most enjoyable CGI effects to the big screen. I remember back in 2003 when X-Men 2 and Terminator 3 were released. I had so much expectations for both films, since one of my top favorite films of all times was Terminator 2: Judgment Day. I remember when I went to watch X-Men 2 and being in the theater... totally amazed watching the effects, plot and characters involved in this sequel. It was the first time ever that I left the theater without touching the candies and things I bought to eat while I was watching the film. I was so into the film that I didn't even remember I got some sweets to enjoy the film! I left the theater with such huge expectations for Terminator 3, since I knew it had to be terrific to be considered better than X-Men 2 that year, especially on the CGI effects aspect.
If I had to choose which one of these three X-Men films was the best, I'd say that the second one is the best so far. X-Men 3 delivered much more action and a large number of new mutants to the audience than the the two previous films, but the two previous films focused more on the lead characters and their stories.
I really enjoyed the action, the good sense of humor and especially, the amazing CGI effects and great mutant powers shown in this film. I just expect to have the chance to watch a new sequel of this great franchise any time soon. I know that two new films will be released soon (X-Men Origins: Magneto & Deadpool) but, I really want another sequel with all the team, especially knowing that X-Men 3 left some inconclusive details in its story.
What did I like from this movie?
1. The large number of mutants and their unique powers brought to this film
2. The amazing CGI effects
3. All the action involved in this film
4. The inconclusive details on the script that will lead to a future sequel
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. I think that we got lost with so many mutants on this sequel. I really enjoy having a few list of new mutants, so we can really enjoy their attributes and unique powers, and not just watch them in a couple of short scenes. This film focused less on the lead characters than the previous two

Click is one of those movies that makes you laugh and have many thought-provoking moments, but you honestly don't know if it is a comedy film with some emotional drama scenes, or a drama film with some funny comedy scenes. For this particular film, I'd divide the film in two. The first half could be considered the funny comedy part, and the second half the drama emotional part.
Click is a film played by such an amazing cast. I should say that some of these talented people were wasted on this film, since they had just derisory roles, for example, Christopher Walken.
I wouldn't consider myself a loyal fan of Adam Sandler's films but, I must say that I've watched almost every single one of his films. He's improved through the years and the good thing is that he has tried to mix drama and romance to most of his latest roles and films. The big success is that he always manages to get a great cast to support his role and I think that's a key part of the success of these films.
Click is nothing more than an enjoyable movie. The plot is not that great but it is entertaining, it delivers some really good laughs and some emotional moments, especially at the end of the film. I really enjoyed that mix.
No matter what, I'd say that if you're looking for an enjoyable film to watch and you coup with Adam Sandler's sense of humor, Click is one of those good options to watch.
What did I like from this movie?
1. I liked the emotional message about the importance of family expressed on this film
2. I really enjoyed the cast selection for this film. Sadly, the director and production could have got more from this amazing cast
3. Kate Beckinsale :) She's my platonic love
4. There were some really good laughable moments on this film
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. As said before, I do believe most of the cast was underused
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

Synopsis: Set against the backdrop of civil war and chaos in 1990's Sierra Leone, Danny Archer, a South African mercenary, and Solomon Vandy, a Mende fisherman are joined in a common quest to recover a rare pink diamond that can transform their lives. While in prison for smuggling, Archer learns that Solomon--who was taken from his family and forced to work in the diamond fields--has found and hidden the extraordinary rough stone. With the help of Maddy Bowen, an American journalist whose idealism is tempered by a deepening connection with Archer, the two men embark on a trek through rebel territory--a journey that could save Solomon's family and give Archer the second chance he thought he would never have.
Starring: Leonardo DiCaprio, Djimon Hounsou, Jennifer Connelly, Arnold Vosloo, Michael Sheen
Directed by: Edward Zwick
U.S. Rating: R
Based on a cruel reality, Blood Diamond brought to the big screen the drama and conflict of African diamonds to the public eye.
The plot relates the story of Danny Archer (Leonardo DiCaprio), a South African mercenary who tries to survive and collect enough money smuggling conflict diamonds from Sierra Leona and leave the continent forever. He's about to reach his dream when he finds Solomon Vandy, (Djimon Hounsou) a humble family man who was taken from his family and forced to work in the diamond fields controlled by the guerrilla. Salomon finds an extremely rare pink diamond stone worth of millions of dollars, and with the help of Maddy Bowen (Jennifer Connelly), a risky journalist who's in Sierra Leona trying to find the truth of these conflict diamonds and how they're being smuggled and sold to the world. While Maddy meets Danny and tries to get valuable information from him, Danny tries to get help from Maddy to use her influence as journalist finding the refugee camp where Salomon's family is located, Salomon will also try to use Danny to find his son who was captured by the guerrilla and forced to commit horrible things, being just a kid. And obviously, Danny will use Salomon and Maddy with the ultimate goal... find the stone and leave the continent forever.
A vicious circle of personal interests that will bring one of the best drama/thriller films watched within the last few years. With such a strong plot, an amazing cast and great location/direction, Blood Diamond is one of those cruel... yes, but amazing films loaded with an unique drama and great end.
Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Connelly and Djimon Hounsou played extraordinary roles, giving an extra value to the story and film.
What did I like from this movie?
1. I really enjoyed the story. It was simple but strong, being able to show the audience the terrible situation behind these conflict diamonds
2. Leonardo DiCaprio, Jennifer Connelly and Djimon Hounsou played amazing roles. The chemistry among them was amazing, and their individual performances were unique
3. The action involved was cruel but amazing!
4. Good and thoughtful end
What did I dislike from this movie?

Synopsis: When three popular girls from different cliques discover they've all been dating the school stud, they band together to seek revenge. Despite the jerk's charm and ever-growing popularity, the girls cleverly scheme with the help of the inconspicuous new girl in town, to soil his reputation and break his heart.

U.S. Rating: PG-13
As a typical high-school revenge comedy film, John Tucker Must Die is not the worst, but not quite as good as other teen films from our list either. Offering few smile-worthy gags and goofy, romantic situations. It also offers a pretty simple, basic but entertaining script and cast. Sadly, it is as good as forgettable! I remember the first time I watched it, it was kind of goofy but entertaining, but few days later, I couldn't even remember most of the situations shown on this film. Jesse Metcalfe, who became more notorious on TV after his role as the teenage gardener on Desperate Houswives plays the role of John Tucker, the guys who has it all... fame, captain of the school basket ball team, not one... or two... but three girlfriends! who gets the revenge of his three ex-girlfriends with the help of the humble and charming girl who hasn't had a boyfriend ever before... Brittany Snow. It could be considered worth to watch on a long day or weekend at home if you have nothing else to do and Netflix can't offer anything better :)
What did I like from this movie?
1. Young and fresh cast, it is always good to watch a good cast of fresh young people that are actually good performers
2. There are some funny situations
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. We can't expect a really good material from these cheesy teen films
I would rate this movie with a 2/5

Synopsis: Director Davis Guggenheim eloquently weaves the science of global warming with Mr. Gore's personal history and lifelong commitment to reversing the effects of global climate change. A longtime advocate for the environment, Gore presents a wide array of facts and information in a thoughtful and compelling way. "Al Gore strips his presentations of politics, laying out the facts for the audience to draw their own conclusions in a charming, funny and engaging style, and by the end has everyone on the edge of their seats, gripped by his haunting message," said Guggenheim. An Inconvenient Truth is not a story of despair but rather a rallying cry to protect the one earth we all share. "It is now clear that we face a deepening global climate crisis that requires us to act boldly, quickly, and wisely," said Gore.
Starring: Al Gore
Directed by: Davis Guggenheim
U.S. Rating: PG
One of the best documentaries I've watched until this day. No matter how dramatic or eco-horrific it might look, Al Gore put so much statistical facts, information powerful and intelligent arguments all together to present not a "scary" but thoughtful documentary about how our actions directly affect the nature and the world we live in. Al Gore tries to describe not just what Global Warming is, how it works, but how it affects the planet and our lives, especially through all the latest events and natural disasters. I personally learned some amazing details about our planet that I wasn't aware of. Totally recommended... Worth of the Oscar received.
What did I like from this movie?

Synopsis: Effie White, Deena Jones, and Lorrell Robinson - three friends from Chicago - are a promising singing trio called The Dreamettes. Accompanied by their songwriter C.C. White (Effie's brother), they travel to New York to compete in a talent show at the Apollo Theatre. Although the girls lose this first bid for fame, their talent attracts an ambitious manager by the name of Curtis Taylor, Jr., who uses unscrupulous tactics to move the girls from backup singers of superstar James "Thunder" Early to superstars of their own. Curtis reshapes the group to "crossover" from R & B to the lucrative pop music scene. Lead singer Effie gets replaced by the more attractive Deena and is eventually dropped from the trio. The group evolves into a more sophisticated group, The Dreams, with a lighter sound and chic look. They successfully attract a "whiter" audience and The Dreams rise to international stardom. The money, fame, and adulation, however, doesn't bring them happiness.

All reviews and critics describe Dreamgirls as one of the most brilliant musical films in decades. Oscar winner, an amazing cast and a strong plot are just few of the things offered by the hand of Bill Condon. The only problem, I couldn't enjoy it. Honestly, I'm anti-musical films, I simply don't get them, I can't focus and enjoy these plots.. It's not that I don't like them, I just don't enjoy them. I've watched them all, successful films like Chicago, Dreamgirls, Hairspray, Grease, etc., I haven't been able to enjoy any of them, simply because I might not like musicals at all? So, I believe I'm the worst person to publish a review about this movie, since I recognize that it is such a great and successful movie, with a great cast and a pretty strong and enjoyable plot.
What did I like from this movie?
1. I liked Eddie Murphy's performance. After watching him playing so many roles in action and comedy movies, it was worth to watch him playing a different role in a drama/musical film (Even though, he brings some comedy to the plot through his role)
2. I must recognize Jennifer Hudson's performance. She totally deserved her Oscar for this appearance
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Nothing, it is just that I'm not a musical films person, at all!
I would rate this movie with a 4/5

One of the best action TV series of all times, Miami Vice gets to the big screen by the hand of Michael Mann, with a good plot and lead characters with the charisma of a dead goat. Everyone that watched at least one of the episodes will notice immediately the huge difference between the great charisma and life style that Don Johnson and Philip Michael Tomas brought to the TV series in the 80's. It was all about high class, great cars, fashion, and lots of action, characters with a great and unique charisma and lots of action. No matter what, this film brings good action, and a high quality of image, being shot in HD format (Viper FilmStream High-Definition Camera) the technology that has become Michael Mann's personal stamp in all of his most recent movies. If you're a huge lover of this great action TV series from the 80's, you'll enjoy a good film. Totally recommended.
What did I like from this movie?
1. The high quality of the image in this film, thanks to the HD format technology used by Michael Mann
2. Great action scenes, some of them really cruel and real, for example, the last action scene, when they face the exchange and everyone starts shooting at each other (police and dealers)
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. The lead characters. Definitely, Colin Farrell was the WORST choice to represent Don Johnson in this movie
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

Synopsis: Nacho is a man without skills. After growing up in a Mexican monastery, he is now a grown man and the monastery's cook, but doesn't seem to fit in. Nacho cares deeply for the orphans he feeds, but his food is terrible--mostly, if you ask him, a result of his terrible ingredients. He realizes he must hatch a plan to make money to buy better food for "the young orphans, who have nothing" (and if in doing so Nacho can impress the lovely Sister Encarnacion, that would be a big plus). When Nacho is struck by the idea to earn money as a Lucha Libre wrestler, he finds that he has a natural, raw talent for wrestling. As he teams with his rail-thin, unconventional partner, Esqueleto (the Skeleton), Nacho feels for the first time in his life that he has something to fight for and a place where he belongs. As Lucha is strictly forbidden by the church elders at the monastery, Nacho is forced to lead a double life. Disguised by a sky blue mask, Nacho conceals his true identity as he takes on Mexico's most famous wrestlers and takes on a hilarious quest to make life a little sweeter at the orphanage.

NaachOOOOoooooooooooo....... Jack Black is back one more time with this hilarious plot about Nacho, an young adult who grew up in a Mexican orphanage among other orphan kids. He grew up with a huge and secret dream... be a rich and famous Mexican "luchador" (wrestler). His goal is to achieve this dream and provide better food and progress opportunities for all the kids living in the orphanage, due to his fame and money. The only problem? He needs to beat Ramsess, the greatest Mexican wrestler. His plan? Well, there's no plan. In his journey to the fulfillment of his dream, he meets Esqueleto, this weird and sadistic looking guy who will become his fighting partner. A hilarious silly comedy with Jack Black dressed in home-made wrestler tights and masks, fake Spanglish accent and some silly but hilarious scenes.
What did I like from this movie?
1. NaaChOOOOOOOOOOOOoooooooooooo.... Who?! This is one of the most hilarious scenes in this movie! when he screams his wrestler name and the priest has no idea what he's saying
2. When Black tries to chase Hector, the weird looking guy and then they get together to get in the professional wrestling world
3. After their first fight, when they're in the lockers all messed up after being bit all up and they still got paid for fighting and they start buying better food and clothing
4. The white boots and blue suit that Black gets and the beauty treatment that Hector gets after few fights
5. Definitely, the moment when he goes on a date with the nun and he clunches his butt in those tight blue pants
6. The little chunky kid, really funny
7. The moment when they get in the party without being invited, Black has to play some Rancheras with the Mariachi, and the weird looking guy has to run away from the fat little girl who wants to seduce him
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. There's something with the plot. No matter how hilarious it might be, it is kind of forgettable
I would rate this movie with a 4/5

Despite the help of Sergeant Mark, a Thai police Sergeant based in Australia, and Pla, a Thai girl forced into modern day slavery, the going gets tough. Honestly, I believe it's been over 10 years since I watched an amazing and unforgettable martial arts movie like this one. Forget about Jet Li, Jean Claude Van Damme, Steven Seagal, Jackie Chan and any other famous actor related with martial arts movies. Tony Jaa is simply amazing! Such an amazing thai fighter. The Protector offers not just an interesting plot, but really amazing fight scenes! If you're looking for a relevant and entertaining movie loaded with amazing fighting scenes, then you definitely should consider The Protector.
What did I like from this movie?
1. I should say that ALL the fight scenes in this movie are simply amazing, but especially, the fight scene with the Capoeira fighter, the guy with the sword and the giant, as well as the fight scene at the end, when he's hurt with the knife while he's crying for the elephant and then fights like 50 guys. The whole scene is simple amazing! Another great fighting scene is the one at the restaurant, when he's going to the top, fighting everyone floor by floor
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. The police detective, such a horrible actor!
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

Synopsis: Carl and Molly Peterson are just starting their new life together--complete with a cute house, boring neighbors, stable jobs and the routines of newlywed existence. There's just one unfortunate hitch in their perfectly constructed new world. And his name's Dupree. Randy Dupree, Carl's oldest friend and perpetual bachelor, has found himself with nowhere to go after being fired. Carl yanks his jobless/homeless pal out of the bar he's living in and invites him to temporarily crash on the couch--that's just what friends do. At first, Carl is quite pleased to have his good buddy as a permanent couch guest, while Molly bears the brunt of Dupree's immature antics. But, as Carl becomes buried in his grown-up job, he finds it harder and harder to juggle Dupree and his responsibilities as a husband. To make matters worse, Dupree uses his ample spare time to become a great companion for Molly. Even her dad and the neighbors are falling for his carefree wisdom and charm--frustrating Carl to no end. Soon, everyone (but Carl) begins to root for Dupree to stick around. But as Dupree starts to become a fixture in the Peterson's home, three becomes not just a crowd--but a full blown, hilarious catastrophe.
Starring: Owen Wilson, Kate Hudson, Matt Dillon, Michael Douglas, Amanda Detmer
Directed by: Joe Russo, Anthony Russo
U.S. Rating: PG-13
With some ups and downs in this film, we could say that Owen Wilson steels the show on this film. A great cast selected for this poorly predictable plot, offering some really funny scenes and good laughs.
What did I like from this movie?
1. I really laughed out loud at the following moments: When Dupree is looking for a job and attends some job interviews, when Dupree gets HBO, definitely! when he's with Mandy on his first date... the butter, candles and the results of this crazy mix of love, the scene when Matt Dillon is asked to get a vasectomy and the moment when Seth Rogen (the friend that can't do anything at home because his wife is more like his boss) tries to get the box of porno movies from the garage
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Michael Douglas role sucked, and even more, the way he played it
2. The plot was extremely predictable, no matter how funny it could have been. Actually, the end got boring, compared with the rest of the film
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

Synopsis: Paris, 2013. Damien is a member of an elite police squadron, a special unit highly trained in martial arts and the precise physical skills necessary to navigate the treacherous urban landscape of Paris' future. He is now tasked with the most vital and dangerous mission of his career: a weapon of mass destruction has been concealed by the most powerful gang of the suburbs of District B13, a walled off section of Paris in which the criminals rule themselves. Damien must infiltrate the gang in order to either defuse the bomb or recover it.
Starring: David Belle, Cyril Raffaelli, Tony D'Amario, Dany Verissimo, Francois Chattot

U.S. Rating: R
District B13 offers a pretty basic plot with just a few entertaining action scenes. The movie is produced in France, with a french cast. Some of the actors have been already part of the cast in major Hollywood productions. District B13 brings a few entertaining action scenes with some great stunts, but a really boring plot. It captures everyone's attention within the first 5-10 minutes of action and amazing stunts, but then it is limited to a poor script and plot, not mentioning the low performance offered by some of the roles involved in this movie. Based in Paris (year 2010), the police has taken action against the chaos and has built a wall around every single ghetto especially, District B13, considered the most dangerous one. Drugs and nuclear threats involve this plot, where a cop and a insider get together to fight back against the chaos and gang that is about to destroy the city.
What did I like from this movie?
1. I totally enjoyed the first 5-10 minutes with all the stunts and first action scenes. I thought it would maintain that same level of entertainment, but I was wrong
2. The fighting scenes were actually entertaining
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. The plot was poor and predictable
2. Some of the roles were poorly performed
3. Some of the scenes were so obviously fake that turned the expectations down. For example, the moments when the insider and sister, or the insider and the cop drive a car and a van and they're being shot by all the gang members, but nothing happens to them
I would rate this movie with a 2/5

Synopsis: At 35, Tripp has an interesting job, a hip car, a passion for sailing, and a great house - trouble is, he lives with his parents. They want him out, so they hire Paula, an "interventionist," who has a formula in these cases: chance encounter, get him to ask her out, involve him in a trauma, meet his friends and get their nod, delay sex, have him teach her something, then launch him. It's worked up to now, but this gets complicated when Tripp thinks she's getting too serious and one of his pals is attracted to Paula's deadpan, semi-alcoholic roommate, who's plagued by a mockingbird. Too many secrets may scrub the launch, and what if Paula really likes him? Who can intervene then?
Starring: Matthew McConaughey, Sarah Jessica Parker, Zooey Deschanel, Justin Bartha, Bradley Cooper
Directed by: Tom Dey
U.S. Rating: PG-13
I'd consider Failure to Launch some kind of a female version of Hitch, with the only difference that Hitch didn't get involved with the targets, and Sarah Jessica Parker's role gets directly involved with her clients' targets. This romantic comedy brought a great cast with a plot that, no matter how many times you might have laughed in this movie, it wasn't memorable enough to help you remember the movie the morning after. I think that Matthew McConaughey is a really great actor, I've enjoyed to see him in action/drama/romance movies, but still can't see him in comedy movies. I think he tries so hard to be funny that it looks like fake humor, I mean, fake humor. No matter what, it's a truly romantic comedy. The film is entertaining due to the great cast involved in this production. I mean, his parents, especially his dad... is hilarious! Zooey Deschanel's sarcasm and performance gets the whole attention and the assistance of Justin Bartha and Bradley Cooper.
What did I like from this movie?
1. I totally laughed out loud when the first girl, and later S.J. Parker asked him... do you live with your parents?! and he responds with the funny question... Is there a problem?!
2. The whole situation with Zooey Deschanel, her sarcasm and the bird, really funny, especially when she's looking for a gun and then they shot at it with the BB
3. When Tripp's mom starts breaking some habits and makes him to do things he's never done before and everyone was amazed about it, really funny
4. Tripp's father is really funny. The moment when he enters in his room during the date with the first girl and then with the "naked room"... hilarious!
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. The very end, even though the moment when they talk and solve their problems, the scenes at the bar with the computers, big screen, etc., personally didn't like it
2. Why didn't the people involved with this project work on a sequel about Zooey Deschanel's life? She stole the show in this movie and she'd deserve a movie about her life, according with her role in this movie
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

Following a lead to the Bahamas, he encounters Dimitrios and his girlfriend, Solange. He learns that Dimitrios is involved with Le Chiffre, banker to the world's terrorist organizations. Secret Service intelligence reveals that Le Chiffre is planning to raise money in a high-stakes poker game in Montenegro at Le Casino Royale. MI6 assigns 007 to play against him, knowing that if Le Chiffre loses, it will destroy his organization. 'M' places Bond under the watchful eye of the beguiling Vesper Lynd. At first skeptical of what value Vesper can provide, Bond's interest in her deepens as they brave danger together--and even torture at the hands of Le Chiffre. I'd simply describe this movie as an extraordinary production and action plot. Casino Royale offers such a well defined and smartly written story mixed with a incredibly talented cast. It's been a long time since I enjoyed a good James Bond production. I'm not saying that the most recent movies from this 007 franchise were bad, they were actually really entertaining. To be honest, Pierce Brosnan was a classic handsome secret agent, but all his action scenes were so Hollywood style, so unreal. They were more like action/thriller scenes faced by a super hero from a comic book instead of a real MI6 secret agent. Daniel Craig has brought the real character to the 007 secret agent... the very intriguing and charismatic personality needed for the James Bond role that we've been enjoying for over 50 years. This plot was meant to be a complete new and fresh plot, with its own timeline, not attached to any previous film. This movie offers amazing action scenes, remarkable locations and a great script. 101% Recommended!
What did I like from this movie?
1. I Personally believe that Casino Royale is one of the top 3 best James Bond movies of all times, no doubt about it
2. The complete initial action scenes (Starting at the snakes fight, the persecution and the situation at the embassy) give a solid idea of the quality and realism that Casino Royale could offer to all its viewers. I remember the two times I went to watch this movie at the cinema and it was interesting how the whole audience were amazed and ecstatic with these scenes
3. Eva Green looks amazing, the classic and sexy Bond girl
4. I really enjoyed not just the spectacular stunts, but the realism in every fighting scene. Really entertaining
5. The whole classy scenes at the casino, while they were playing Poker. Such a distinctive part of a James Bond movie, as well as the Austin Martin
6. The whole scene at the building in Venice. The adrenaline and action involved in this scene
7. The moment when Le Chiffre captures Bond and prepares him to be tortured, naked with a knotted rope. So funny when he says "Now the whole world's gonna know that you died scratching my balls!"
8. The final scene, when Bond hunts Mr White down, giving the obvious idea that it would be the beginning of the next sequel
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. The only scene I didn't enjoy or that I believe didn't look so real was the fight at Bodies, the exhibition in Miami, when Dimitrios discovers Bond and tries to kill him with a knife. I believe it was a bit entertaining though
I would rate this movie with a 5/5

Synopsis: Good-hearted dreamer Larry Daley, despite being perpetually down on his luck, thinks he's destined for something big. But even he could never have imagined how big, when he accepts what appears to be a menial job as a graveyard-shift security guard at a museum of natural history. During Larry's watch, extraordinary things begin to occur: Mayans, Roman Gladiators, and cowboys emerge from their diorama to wage epic battles; in his quest for fire, a Neanderthal burns down his own display; Attila the Hun pillages his neighboring exhibits, and a T-Rex reminds everyone why he's history's fiercest predator. Amidst the chaos, the only person Larry can turn to for advice is a wax figure of President Teddy Roosevelt , who helps our hero harness the bedlam, stop a nefarious plot, and save the museum.
Starring: Ben Stiller, Carla Gugino, Dick Van Dyke, Mickey Rooney, Bill Cobbs
Directed by: Shawn Levy
U.S. Rating: PG
One of my favorite movies. It is not just because I'm a huge fan of Ben Stiller movies, but because it is a really funny and entertaining movie. The plot is fresh and really entertaining for people of all ages. Ben Stiller plays the role of the divorce and unemployed father that needs to find a job to stay close to his son. On his job hunting, he's offered to be the night guard at the museum of natural history. Many guards have got and quit that job, the reason? The museum has a secret, everything and everyone comes to life when the sun goes down. This is the moment when the real action and comedy starts in this movie, going through different situations and remarkable people in history. I personally recommend this movie for everyone searching for some really good laughs and a great time.
What did I like from this movie?
1. My top favorite character is the Easter Island stone head. I totally laugh when they meet for the first time and the stone head says: "Hey! Dum-dum!... You give me gum-gum!... You new Dum-dum. You give me gum-gum"
2. The constant disputes and discussions between Jedediah and Octavius, and how they try to control or be kinda bossy with Ben Stiller
3. The whole situation with the Huns, especially when Ben Stiller finally controls them and the leader starts crying on his shoulder
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. The idea for this script is so brilliant, but I personally believe they could get so much more and better material (even though I loved it!)
I would rate this movie with a 4/5

Synopsis: Emily tells her son Paul, now six years old, the story of his life - how she sought motherhood, to be a mom without a husband, to raise a perfect, exceptional child, whom she calls Loverboy. In flashbacks told around a pretend car trip they take - so he can practice driving - we see Paul's infancy, their fun together (sometimes with a manic edge), and his growing desire to go to school and be with other kids. We also flash back to Emily's childhood, with parents so bound up with each other that she's virtually ignored. Is Emily going to be able to let Paul be with others? Or, can she, as in the David Bowie song she sings at a school talent show, construct a life on Mars?
Starring: Kyra Sedgwick, Dominic Scott Kay, Kevin Bacon, Sandra Bullock, Blair Brown, Matt Dillon, Oliver Platt, Campbell Scott, Marisa Tomei, Sosie Bacon, Travis Bacon, Robert Sedgwick
Directed by: Kevin Bacon
U.S. Rating: R
This is a complex and nuanced story about a single mother's obsessive love for her only child. The story explores the psychology of this obsession and the sometimes sublime, sometimes tragic effects it has on the lives of both mother and son. It is an adaptation of a novel by Victoria Redel (Greywolf 2001, Harcourt 2002 in paperback) that I imagine would present some challenges given its non-linear time frame and the careful parsing of its secret twists and turns. The acting is very good and the characters portrayed are funny, endearing, and multifaceted. Marissa Tomei and Kevin Bacon are hilarious as the 70's era, sexed up, deliriously in love and sadly neglectful parents. Kyra Sedgwick captures the complex subtleties of her character, making it easy for the audience to empathize with what would otherwise be, and at times is a difficult and disturbing obsessiveness. Other performances by Sandra Bullock as the sultry and insightful neighbor, Oliver Platt as the nervous and nerdy school administrator, and Matt Dillon as the love interest you can't help but root for. Although many of the aspects of this movie were good, you cannot help but feel horrible at the ending. Emily tries killing her son in an effect to be like Romeo and Juliet (as her own parents killed themselves over their love for each other). The part that really bothers me is the last scene where an older Paul and his girlfriend recreate a moment he remembers with his mother. We are supposed to feel as if he was inspired by her psychotic love; however, I couldn't imagine anyone who would still love and admire their mother after she tried killing them.
What did I like from this movie?
1. This movie had good acting in general and a storyline that kept you wondering how the ending would work out
2. I loved the 70s Kevin Bacon. He was absolutely hilarious in his outfits and acting style
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. The ending was sad and horrible how she attempted to kill her son and herself (succeeding in killing herself though)!
2. I didn't like how the music basically attempted to force our emotions a certain way. I think the movie's music should have allowed for different emotions in parts, since the scenes they assumed were sweet just ended up being psychotic and sad
I would rate this movie with a 2/5

According with most of the critics and important reviews made about this movie, it is considered one of the worst movies of all times, and I believe it. This sequel is another of those ones we should label as a big NO-NO! All of us know that Basic Instinct was such a big success in the 90's. That was exactly the movie that launched Sharon Stone's movie career to the stars, thanks to the famous scene when she crosses her legs in the interrogation room ;) Well, this new sequel brings a plot that I could consider a remake of the first plot. Nothing new, poorly directed, with a lousy story that has nothing to hide, nothing left to imagination, so predictable.
What did I like from this movie?
1. Sharon Stone :) The older she gets, the more beautiful she looks
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Definitely a really bad choice for Sharon Stone. This kind of scripts won't help her to arise from the ashes and be the star that we knew in the 90's
2. The plot was so predictable and boring
I would rate this movie with a 1/5

Synopsis: During the Cuban Revolution of 1958-59, the three brothers of the Fellove family are ruined: brother Luis supports Castro as a clandestine terrorist and is killed by the forces of Batista; brother Ricardo joins Castro's forces as a freedom fighter and kills himself when he realizes that Castro is just another power-hungry dictator; and wary brother Fico, a nightclub entrepreneur, stays apolitical during the Revolution and sees his life's work confiscated by Castro's puritanical and acquisitive goons.
Starring: Steven Bauer, Richard Bradford, Nestor Carbonell, Lorena Feijoo, Andy Garcia
Directed by: Andy Garcia
U.S. Rating: R
Great movie. I personally believe that you can only understand deeply the message expressed in this movie by living a similar experience in your life. Andy Garcia, a Cuban-American plays the role of the business entrepreneur owner of a famous Cuban night club in the late 50's, when the country is being ruled by dictator Fulgencio Batista and the country is being attacked by Fidel Castro's guerrilla. Many people can't understand what really happened in these years, the things that so many people had to face, properties and businesses they had to lose in the name of the revolution, people who died for no reason, just because they didn't support the revolution or accepted the forced changes proposed by Castro and his comrades. Many people admire El Che Guevara, without knowing that he personally killed in cold blood more than 100 people, just because they didn't support the revolution. At least, Andy Garcia shows from a personal perspective some of the truths lived by hundred of families during those years, and many people are still facing in other countries that have been influenced by this cancer called Marxist Socialism led by Fidel Castro (like mine, Venezuela). A great movie with a sad but powerful message. A plot with such a great cast. Even though this production comes with a Hollywood cliche, I could say that it is worth to watch.
What did I like from this movie?
1. Such a great cast in this movie: Andy Garcia, Bill Murray, Dustin Hoffman, etc
2. The pictures, customs and places remind us those days, the great Cuba that has stopped in time
3. The way they show in just a short time (1 hour), how life changed for so, so many people during those very few years
4. How life can go on when you want to make it all work for you, no matter if you have to start from scratch
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. They could have shown even more terrible things about Fidel and Guevara's changes and things done during those first years, but the plot was sad and complete enough to express a good message
I would rate this movie with a 4/5
