Synopsis: Brennan Huff, a sporadically employed thirty-nine-year-old, lives with his mother, Nancy. Dale Doback, a terminally unemployed forty-year-old lives with his father, Robert. When Robert and Nancy marry and move in together, Brennan and Dale are forced to live with each other as step brothers. As their narcissism and downright aggressive laziness threaten to tear the family apart, these two middle-aged, immature, overgrown boys will orchestrate an insane, elaborate plan to bring their parents back together. To pull it off, they must form an unlikely bond that maybe, just maybe, will finally get them out of the house.

Starring: Will Ferrell, John C. Reilly, Adam Scott, Mary Steenburgen, Kathryn Hahn
Directed by: Adam McKay
U.S. Rating: R
We don't see two 40-year-old men acting and behaving like two 10-years-old boys. This is the case of Step Brothers. Two of the weirdest and most unique actors in Hollywood: Will Ferrell and John C. Reilly, but at the same time, two of my top favorite comedy actors, get together one more time to bring one hilarious film for our own entertainment.
The Step Brothers is the story of Brennan Huff and Dale Doback, two unemployed 40 year-old spoiled men who still live with, and are reliant on, their mom (Brennan) and dad (Dale). They have absolute no intention of moving out or finding jobs, and all they do perfectly well? To behave exttemely childishly. Robert and Nancy are Dale's dad and Brennan's mother. They met during a work conference, got married and moved in together, forcing Brennan and Dale to live with each other as step brothers. They are resentful and display a crazy childish dislike towards each other. Later they will find they have more in common than they thought, but that doesn't change much their childish dislike towards each other. When Brennan's successful, conceited, biological younger brother Derek, who is regularly cruel to Brennan out of fun, comes to visit with his oddly perfect family, Brennan and Dale retreat to Dale's tree house. Derek drops by to mock them, and entices Dale to punch him in the face, which Dale actually does, knocking Derek out of the tree. Brennan is awed by the fact that Dale was able to stand up to Derek.
Robert and Nancy decide to chase their retirement dream: Sale their home, get in Robert's sailing boat and travel around the world. This plan hits Brennan and Dale in the face, since they will ave to leave the house and take responsibilities, grow up and take care of themselves finding a job.
Brennan and Dale try to ruin every single intent of Derek selling Robert's house and that causes lots of trouble on Robert and Nancy's relation. They decide to split and that event force Brennan and Dale to think on their behavior and what they need to do to change things and make it up to their parents and for their own good and personal progress.
At the end, Brennan and Dale form their successful company that runs karaoke bars and restaurants. Six months later, Robert and Nancy are reunited and move back into their old home, with a new tree house made from their boat, destroyed by Brennan and Dale.
A pretty funny film totally recommended for a good lazy weekend at home :)
I would rate this movie with a 3.5/5

Synopsis: A charming but oblivious overweight guy leaves his fiancee on their wedding day only to discover years later that he really loves her. To win her back, he must finish a marathon while making her realize that her new handsome, wealthy fiance is the wrong guy for her.

Starring: Simon Pegg, Hank Azaria, Thandie Newton, Harish Patel, Ruth Sheen
Directed by: David Schwimmer
U.S. Rating: PG-13
Simon Pegg is one of my top British comedy actors. He's worked hard to leave his mark not just in good recent British films, but in American films. He's been able to adapt himself to both sense of humors, and make it work smoothly. That's what I like about his work.
I'd say Run, Fat Boy, Run is one of those funny and entertaining films that you must watch in DVD or Blu Ray, even though, it wasn't the best option to watch in theaters. It was good, but not good enough for that. Simon Pegg has been in way better comedy films than Run. Fat Boy, Run.
The film is about Dennis, a looser that never accomplishes anything in life. Every time he has to face a situation, problem or important decision... he prefers to run away, thinking that this is the best option. That's what he did on his own wedding, when he did panic minutes before to get married, leaving his pregnant woman waiting for him at the altar.
Since then, he's kept in contact with his ex-fiancee and mother of his kid. He visits his son and share time with him every single week. He always tries to get his ex-fiancee's attention, but she's too mad at him for the reason I mentioned before, obviously! Any woman would be pissed at her ex-fiance if he ran away on their wedding day.
Dennis is working as a security guy at a women's fashion shop. While trying to get Libby's attention, he finds out that she has a new american boyfriend. Her new boyfriend is a successful business man that is trying to get not just her inconditional love, but his son's attention. He finds out that Libby is in loved with the idea of her new boyfriend running a marathon for charity.
When Dennis knows about it, he convinces her and his friends that he will run the same marathon. All of his friends laugh and even bet on his failure, since he never achieves anything, he's just a quitter. That's what they believe. His best friend believes in him and helps him to train and get in shape to complete this race and show Libby, her boyfriend, son and everyone else that he's capable of doing it and achieving this goal.
He goes through several crazy and funny situations during his training, but something happens... He's being invited to celebrate Libby's birthday at her boyfriend's house. Her boyfriend takes advantage of this situation and proposes her. She accepts and Dennis is destroyed. He quits, tells his best friend and people that have been supporting him that he won't run the marathon. After considering the situation, he decides to do it for himself.
During the marathon, Dennis and Whit (Libby's boyfriend) takes the race too personal and Whit tackes Dennis. Both falls in the floor, Whit tries to keep running but "hits the wall" and can't run anymore. Dennis decides to walk the rest of the marathon and finally finishes it hours later, being all over the news in the country.
I personally enjoyed the film. As said before, it wasn't an option for me when it came to theaters, but I must say that it should be taken as a "must" for a DVD night. It is a really good one, so if you really enjoy a good British comedy, you can go for this option, totally recommended.

Synopsis: With the help of Lieutenant Jim Gordon and District Attorney Harvey Dent, Batman sets out to destroy organized crime in Gotham for good. The triumvirate proves to be effective, but they soon find themselves prey to a rising criminal mastermind known as the Joker, who thrusts Gotham into anarchy and forces the Dark Knight ever closer to crossing the fine line between hero and vigilante.
Starring: Christian Bale, Heath Ledger, Aaron Eckhart, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Morgan Freeman
Directed by: Christopher Nolan
U.S. Rating: PG-13
One of the best films of all time. Definitely one of my top 5! No doubt about it! I'm a huge fan of Batman. I used to watch the old TV Series with all the "pow! bam! swaap!..." fighting scenes, the classic movies with Michael Keaton or Val Kilmer... and lately, the amazing ones with Christian Bale, directed by Christopher Nolan.
Nolan was able to deliver one of the most amazing and finest superhero movies in decades! The Dark Knight was a film that revealed the dark side of humans, all those crazy and psychotic instincts that turn men into animals. Heath Ledger playing The Joker was magnificent. He's the perfect example of what Nolan wanted to express on this film.
The Dark Knight is such a highly entertaining film containing all the perfect ingredients: An amazing cast who played their roles in such a brilliant way, impressive and spectacular action scenes, an amazing and unique script, customs, cars and weapons stunningly designed and an unfinished end, leaving everyone wanting more.
Totally recommended. As said before, it is one of the best films of all time. It is impressive to watch either on the big screen or a Blu-Ray (or even on a DVD!). If you haven't watched it, you should add it to your "must watch" personal list ASAP!
What did I like from this movie?
1. Definitely, the best of the film was Heath Ledger's performance. He made the film so worth to watch. I believe he set a standard for all future bad guys and Batman enemies. Every single one will have to "at least" be as amazing as he was on this film. He made his role so real, so tangible, so freaking scary!... "Why so serious, son?!... Let's put a smile in that face!"
2. All the cool gadgets, weapons and cars... simply amazing!
3. The cast, script and direction, such a great job and selection!
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Nothing at all!

Synopsis: Widowed Wendy Handler longs to be closer to her thirteen year old daughter, soccer obsessed Becca, so she concocts an elaborate disguise, that of Italian star Lorenzo Fulograppa, and becomes the new 'star' of the girls' soccer team.
Starring: Missi Pyle, Emily Osment, Kristen Wilson, Percy 'Master P' P, Elon Gold
Directed by: Gregory McClatchy
U.S. Rating: PG
I'm not a big fan of these kind of cheesy kids movies, even though, I can say that this film was quite entertaining. Missi Pyle played a funny lead role in this film as the mother and Lorenzo Vincenzo, a famous international soccer player from Italy. Trying to help and motivate her daughter , Missi Pyle will do everything and anything to make her daughter enjoy what she loves the most, soccer. A cheesy plot but really entertaining and freshly played. A good option for a quiet afternoon with the kids.
What did I like from this movie?
1. The make-up was really funny! She actually looked like the guy she was trying to represent
2. As said, it is a cheesy but fresh plot, easy to watch
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Why does every single movie about soccer is represented by women?
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

Synopsis: A science professor's untraditional hypotheses have made him the laughing stock of the academic community. But on an expedition in Iceland, he and his nephew stumble upon a major discovery that launches them on a thrilling journey deep beneath the Earth's surface, where they travel through never-before-seen worlds and encounter a variety of unusual creatures.
Starring: Brendan Fraser, Josh Hutcherson, Anita Briem, Seth Meyers, Jean-Michel Pare
Directed by: Eric Brevig
U.S. Rating: PG
Well, I didn't see Journey to the Center of the Earth in 3D, so it means that I couldn't get the best of the film. I must say that this film is focused on a very special audience: kids. I need to quote this because I watched the film not knowing it was a kids' film and I got so bored that I almost stopped the DVD after the fist half. Journet to the center of the Earth is a very colourful film with an entertaining plot for kids, loaded with tons of imaginary situations. If you're a big fan of Brendan Fraser and you don't mind to watch him in a kids movie, it is a really good option. If you're expecting to watch the film from an adult's perspective, don't waste your time, you won't get it.
What did I like from this movie?
1. I it quite interesting during the first half of the movie. The second half wasn't as good as the first one, bringing some crazy/nonsense situations
2. The Blu-Ray quality image is amazing
3. I didn't have the chance to watch it in theaters, but most of the reviews have quoted that it was really cool to watch the film in 3D
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Watching the movie from an adult's perspective, it was so weird and nonsense! You're supposedly in the center of the earth, but there's sun light, oceans and wind. Not amazed with these nonsense situations? Let's try having signal on your mobile! I'd like to sign up with that service provider!
I would rate this movie with a 2/5

In her twenties, fiery and adorable, Jill enters Jack's life like a hurricane. They meet and instantly connect, launching into a romance. Together they write a Manifesto of Rules to Live By, beginning with Rule 1: Be Honest. But after too many instances of Jill's disappearing, Jack forces Jill to reveal her secret.
Starring: Freddie Prinze Jr., Taryn Manning, Peter Stebbings, Hannah Lochner, Robin Dunne
Directed by: Jordan Gertner, Michael Jaffe, Nicholas D. Tabarrok
U.S. Rating: PG-13
The film is so ridiculously cheesy that it repelled ALL my attibutes to keep focused on the film and at least, enjoy it. As far as I remember, I've seen Freddy Prinze playing the same cheesy and boring role of the charming, romantic, handsome good guy that falls in love of the lead girl and live the perfect romance, breaking all the bounderies on their love journey. I've seen him playing this boring role over and over again. Jack & Jill vs the World is not an exception. He plays the role of an important business agent who falls inlove with a crazy girl who's facing lots of problems. They start a romantic relationship that will lead them to some critical and important decisions and actions in their lives.
I could provide more details, but I would write the escense of the plot in just a couple of lines. I couldn't recommend the film to anyone who is seriously looking for an entertaining and enjoyable film.
What did I like from this movie?
1. The only part tha I really enjoyed in this film is when Freddy Prinze wakes up one morning and he shows this big tatoo in his right arm. 20 minutes later, there's another morning scene when he wakes up and... guess what! He has the same tatoo, this time, in his left arm! Are the producers so retarded that they weren't able to identify this awful mistake? At least, it kept me interested in the film, just waiting for the next morning scene... maybe he'd get the same tatoo in his back of chest! So ridiculous

Synopsis: When upscale, happily unmarried San Francisco couple Kate and Brad find themselves socked in by fog on Christmas morning, their exotic vacation plans morph into the family-centric holiday they had, until now, gleefully avoided. Out of obligation--and unable to escape--they trudge to not one, not two, but four relative-choked festivities, increasingly mortified to find childhood fears raised, adolescent wounds reopened... and their very future together uncertain. As Brad counts the hours to when he can get away from their parents, step-parents, siblings and an assortment of nieces and nephews, Kate is starting to hear the ticking of a different kind of clock. And by the end of the day, she is beginning to wonder if their crazy families' choices are not so crazy after all.
Starring: Vince Vaughn, Reese Witherspoon, Noah Munck, Haley Hallak, Robert Duvall
Directed by: Seth Gordon
U.S. Rating: PG-13
Four Christmases, the latest christmas movie with Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon is worth to watch. It is about a couple with no serious commitment about their relationship, that enjoy to live their lives together and relax on their christmas holidays away from their parents and relatives. They never expected that right at the very last moment of their perfectly conceived plan, a deep fog that covered San Francisco Bay would ruin their holidays. While being at the airport trying to find a flight to escape on their holidays, they're approached by a TV News reporter and suddenly, they've found caught on camera and contacted by their families. Then, they have to cancel their plans and visit their families for christmas. Both of them have 2 families to visit, their mothers' families, and their fathers' families. A really entertaining plot with some thoughful situations about the importance of couples' commitments and family relationships. A really good and entertaining movie for this christmas season, now that it has finally been released on DVD!
What did I like from this movie?
1. The most hilarious scenes on this movie is the moment they visit Reese's mother and her family! Her mother, grandmother, sister and other ladies in that house are a bunch of cougars!
2. So funny when Vince is intimidated by Reese's sister and her hot appearance. She gives the baby to her husband who's playing video games and she says... "he's good with babies"
3. Hilarious when the baby vomits on Reese's blouse and Vince is about to vomit too because it is really disgusting for him
4. Vince's dad and brothers, so funny! I really laughed when they're opening their gifts and Vince gave a XBox to the little kid and a satellite dish to his dad when they set a top of $10 per gifts
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. I really enjoyed this christmas comedy, I don't find anything wrong with it. It's a good option for a good relaxing night on christmas season
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

Synopsis: Bella Swan has always been a little bit different, never caring about fitting in with the trendy girls at her Phoenix high school. When her mother re-marries and sends Bella to live with her father in the rainy little town of Forks, Washington, she doesn't expect much of anything to change. Then she meets the mysterious and dazzlingly beautiful Edward Cullen, a boy unlike any she's ever met. Edward is a vampire, but he doesn't have fangs and his family is unique in that they choose not to drink human blood. Intelligent and witty, Edward sees straight into Bella's soul. Soon, they are swept up in a passionate, thrilling and unorthodox romance. To Edward, Bella is what he has waited 90 years for -- a soul mate. But the closer they get, the more Edward must struggle to resist the primal pull of her scent, which could send him into an uncontrollable frenzy. But what will Edward & Bella do when a clan of new vampires -- James, Laurent and Victoria -- come to town and threaten to disrupt their way of life?

I waited for this movie to come out for months, and I was NOT disappointed. I have read all the books more times than I can count and I really felt that the movie brought something alive in these characters. It was a low budget film and at parts could could tell but they did an amazing job with what they had. Twilight is about the love story. Not the action sequences, although there are those too. You will FEEL something for these characters in the movie if you've never read the books. You'll be sucked in. Don't say I didn't warn you. It's amazing.
What did I like from this movie?
1. Robert Pattinson. Need I say more? When I found out he was playing Edward I actually gasped because he looked so much like the Edward in my head. Great casting there. He is the perfect Edward Cullen
2. Finally seeing the interaction between Bella and Edward that only a movie can give
3. Great makeup and costumes. Everything looked very uniform without everyone wearing the same thing. You saw Bella evolve from warm earthy tones to the cool colors the Cullen's were wearing. It showed how she was developing emotionally
4. The Cullen Crest. That's not in the books. I loved all the vampire jewelry. I need some
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. I'm not a big fan of Kristen Stewart and her acting style seems to be the same in all her movies. She looks like Bella though so that was good enough. Everyone else made up for her acting
2. It was low budget. You knew they could have made it much more amazing if only they had the money to do so
3. They left out some of my favorite scenes from the book. But that's normal with an adaptation from a book
4. That I have had to wait a year fro the second movie. The movie went too quick for me. I wanted more. Thank goodness for the books!
I would rate this movie with a 4/5

Synopsis: While trying to shed some light on the mystery surrounding a bizarre psychiatric institute, persistent investigative journalist Deborah Fielding falls headlong into a twisted, mind-altering world of lies, deceit, and unimaginable terror. Viewers won’t be able to brace themselves for the shocking secrets unlocked in this twisted horror show.
Starring: Lance Henriksen, Danny Trejo, Greg Collins
Directed by: Peter J. Eaton
U.S. Rating: R
One of the worst and most boring movies I've watched in a while. Necessary Evil starts with a team of mercenaries that capture a supernatural creature in a tomb in the middle east. After affecting one of the team members, Dr. Fibrian, the leader of this project discovers through some experiments on Frank Sanders, the member attacked by this creature, a rejuvenating power on this creature's blood.
Several years later, this plot moves into Deborah Fielding's life, a journalism student who's pregnant and has been part of some cruel medical tests led by Dr. Fibrian (We never know how they got to this point in the plot).
Deborah starts taking a new drug for a medical condition (due to these medical tests) and through a research, she discovers more information not just about the drug, but the hospital, Dr. Fibrian and all the abuses exposed in this psychiatric hospital.
In the middle of the plot, we discovers that Deborah seems to be better and more expert than any super spy, with so many professional skills, never explained how she got them.
Anyway, a very confusing plot due to all the many mysteries and details never revealed or explained that makes the plot not just difficult to follow, but extremely boring and poorly directed.
What did I like from this movie?
1. Nothing
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Everything
p.s.: Sorry for being so short and straight in these likes and dislikes, but I can't think of anything in details after watching this movie
I would rate this movie with a 1/5

Starring: Michael Caine, Demi Moore, Lambert Wilson, Joss Ackland, Constantine Gregory
Directed by: Michael Radford
U.S. Rating: PG-13
A really interesting and entertaining plot. Demi Moore and Michael Caine bring this suspens thriller about an amazing plan to steal one of the biggest diamonds corporation in the world. Even though, we've watches so many similar plots like this one, I personally believe that the main difference is the terrific performance from Michael Caine and Demi Moore. A simple but powerful script that will keep you aware of every single details, and especially, watching such a very unexpected end, when nothing seemed to be what everyone was expecting from Michael Caine, the reason why he did it and most important, what really happened in the end. Totally recommended for those lovers of an enjoyable heist thriller.
What did I like from this movie?
1. The plot was really entertaining. These are the kind of plots I really enjoy
2. What really happened with the diamonds, so unexpected!
3. Moore, Caine and Wilson's roles were greatly performed
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Demi Moore's make up as an old woman, so wrong! It looked so fake

Ok, let's face it. This movie confirms that it doesn't matter if you get the best cast ever for any given film. If the plot and script SUCK, the film will be a disaster. War, Inc is one of the weirdest and most bizarre movies I've watched within the last couple of years. War, Inc is a political satire about war businesses and corporations. The only problem is that the humor on this plot might be either too smart for me, or so weird that I can't get it at all. It's so bizarre to watch Hilary Duff shoving scorpions her panties or firing a machine gun like a mad woman, just to mention a couple of dozens of weird images, scenes and situations. Honestly, I couldn't focus on the film... it really didn't get me at all.
What did I like from this movie?
1. Hilary Duff's boyfriend looks like a cheap imitation of Ali G
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. What could have been a smart political satire about the business of war, turns into a ridiculous and unreal script
I would rate this movie with a 1/5

Synopsis: It's been nearly a year since volatile detective Ben Carson was suspended from the NYPD for fatally shooting another undercover officer, an accident that not only cost him his job, but fueled the alcoholism and anger that has alienated his wife and kids and left him crashing on his sister's couch in Queens. Desperate to pull his life together, Carson takes a job as a night watchman at the burned-out ruins of the Mayflower department store, which was destroyed by a massive fire that devoured numerous innocent lives. As Carson patrols the eerie, charred remains of the store, he begins to notice something sinister about the ornate mirrors that adorn the Mayflower walls. Reflected in the gigantic shimmering glass are horrific images that stun Carson. Beyond projecting gruesome images of the past, the mirrors appear to be manipulating reality as well. When Carson sees his own reflection being tortured, he suffers the physical effects of his fractured visions. His sympathetic but skeptical sister Angela dismisses these bizarre 'nightmares' as a consequence of his stress and guilt over the accidental shooting, but Carson's estranged wife Amy, a no-nonsense NYPD medical 2 examiner, is less forgiving. Her husband's increasingly erratic behavior frightens her, pushing his family farther away--and, she fears, it's putting their children in danger. As Carson investigates the mysterious disappearance of a Mayflower security guard and its possible connection to his ghastly visions, he realizes that a malevolent, otherworldly force is using reflections as a gateway to terrorize him and his family. Carson must somehow uncover the truth behind the mirrors--and convince Amy to help him battle the greatest evil he has ever faced.

Synopsis: Shelley Darlington has lived at the Playboy mansion for the last nine years. She is Hef's favorite and acts like a den mother to the other girls. On her birthday, she is unceremoniously evicted from Hef's pad for 'being too old.' Homeless and without essential skills, Shelley wanders around L.A. until she finds a new job--the housemother at the most unpopular sorority on campus.
Starring: Anna Faris, Katharine McPhee, Emma Stone, Rumer Willis, Kat Dennings
Directed by: Fred Wolf
U.S. Rating: PG-13
A great, simple and silly funny plot about a Playboy Bunny that is forced to leave the Playboy Mansion after 9 years living there. Now she has to figure out life being away from all the luxury and life style in Hef's Mansion. Getting to a college's fraternity house, Shelley starts taking control of the Zeta fraternity, a bunch of nerdy and helpless girls and lead them to believe in themselves and be the most popular girls in college. We couldn't consider this movie as a new classic one, it's far from it, it might even be considered a forgettable comedy, but the point is that Anna Faris plays a great role in this silly and funny plot supported by a good cast, making this movie a really fresh and entertaining film.
What did I like from this movie?
1. I really laughed with the dumb way she remembers people's names, making those weird deep voices when she repeats people's names
2. Anna Faris played a good role as the dumb blond, not very smart, but cool and sweet enough to get everyone's attention and be able to take the right opportunities to solve any situation
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. I believe that the only one that got free attention and publicity was Hugh Hefner!

Synopsis: Bill is unhappy: he's married a banker's daughter and has a non-job at the bank; his wife Jess is tied to daddy's purse-strings; and, Bill is developing a gut from lack of exercise and constantly eating candy bars. He dreams of buying a donut franchise to be independent of Jess's dad. Bill is roped into a mentoring program at his old prep school, assigned a smart-mouthed kid who pops up when least expected. When Jess starts an affair with Chip, a local TV personality and vain Rob Lowe look-alike, it sends Bill, the kid, and a young sales clerk from a lingerie shop on a quest to win back Jess and get the donuts. What about self-respect?
Starring: Aaron Eckhart, Jessica Alba, Elizabeth Banks, Timothy Olyphant
Directed by: Melissa Wallack, Bernie Goldmann
U.S. Rating: R
An entertaining but entirely forgettable plot. Aaron Eckhart is Bill, a middle-age married guy, facing a middle-age crisis. The whole purpose and idea of this plot is showing how Bill fights his crisis and finds himself at the end of this journey. The plot offers some really funny moments and scenes, as well as some annoying and boring scenes played by some of the supporting roles. I could say that this movie has its ups and downs, starts and finishes with some really good scenes and situations, but loses its essence in the middle of the story.
What did I like from this movie?
1. One of my favorite moments, when Bill is driving and he sees the board "On the scene" with Chip
2. The whole situation with his wife and how she was being unfaithful, the way he found out and all the funny consequences
3. When Bill is watching the news on TV and he sees his belly coming out of the corner and he says... "is that my stomach?... is that my stomach?!?!"
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Jessica Alba's role was nothing special, I was expecting something else or something more relevant
2. The moment when Bill and the kid are throwing fireworks at each other, too much for me watching an adult doing that!
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

Christian Poveda, a Hispanic-French photojournalist and a Film director who decided to film a documentary about two of the most violent gangs in all America, the Maras Salvatrucha and the Maras 18. This photojournalist, who survived the war in Lebanon and the war Iran-Iraq couldn't survive the violence in El Salvador. Few months after this documentary was finished, Poveda decided to go back to the same area where he took some of the images. There, he was invited to visit one of the ghettos where he was kidnapped and murdered, shot 4 times in the face. The international press and the first results from the investigation of this murder say that he might have been killed by some members of the gangs he exposed in this documentary, who weren't happy about being exposed on this film. This violent and cruel documentary brings to the viewers the story of some members of these extremely dangerous gangs, showing their life style, their violence and how the government and society have to deal with them. Gangs who have imported some of the most dangerous gang styles and techniques, to the point that have forced international police forces like the FBI to work with the police in El Salvador, to control and reduce the influence of these gangs.
What did I like from this movie?
1. How fearless and smart had to be this journalist to be able to get the approval of the police, department of justice in El Salvador, and especially the gangs, to get the images, shots and information needed to complete this documentary
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Too violent and cruel
I would rate this movie with a 1/5

Synopsis: A traumatized woman is questioned by a cop and a psychiatrist about three stories involving a clown, a hotel and a convoy, that involve her and two of her female friends from childhood.
Starring: Keir O'Donnell, Katheryn Winnick, Laura Breckenridge, Jessica Lucas, Tad Hilgenbrinck
Directed by: John Simpson
U.S. Rating: R
Amusement. I'd define this movie with a simple word: Weird. When I watched this movie, I honestly thought it wasn't a traditional movie, but a series of short individual scary chapters no related at all. The structure of this plot was kind of interesting. The plot starts with three individual situations and incidents. After these three individual episodes, the next stage on this movie starts on a interview room, where the person involved in the third episode is being interviewed about the incident and tragedy she lived. That's the moment when she finds out that the person who tried to kill her is an old school friend with some eccentric/morbid ideas and sense of humor. She goes back in her mind to the moment when she and her friends, the ones involved in the other individual episodes, were together at their school and the crazy little boy that tried to amuse them with a dead rat in a box was the same one that not just killed some people, but tried to kill her too. A horror movie that I could say, offer a few scary/entertaining moments.
What did I like from this movie?
1. I like the plot structure. The plot and story was kind of boring, but the structure (starting with three individual episodes, going back in time, and coming back to present
2. I totally loved the t-shirt/vest used b the girls at the end of the movie, the ones with the chest open, like an autopsy... when the crazy guy kept them tied in front of the glass walls
3. The scenes with the dolls and the clown was kind of scary and entertaining
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. It was weird to watch Keir O'Donnell in a role like this one. After watching him in some really cool and funny comedy movies, it was weird to watch him in a key role in a horror movie, playing the character of a crazy weirdo
I would rate this movie with a 2/5

Synopsis: In Michigan, the grumpy widower Walt Kowalski is a Korean War veteran full of prejudice that has just lost his beloved wife Dorothy. He is one of the last Caucasian Americans in his neighborhood and does not have a good relationship with his sons and their families; therefore he is a lonely man. When his teenager neighbor Thao Vang Lor is pressed by his cousin Smokie to join his Hmong gang, he is assigned to steal the Gran Torino of Walt as part of his initiation in the gang. However he is surprised by the old man and his traditional family feels ashamed with the incident. Later Walt saves Thao first and his sister Sue Lor from gangs and he has the gratitude of his next door neighbors and the neighborhood. On the day of his birthday, Walt is invited by Sue to join her family reunion and he begins a relationship with his neighbors, helping Thao to get a job. However he realizes that the Hmong gang disturbs the neighborhood and after a coward attack of the gangster, Walt decides to take an ultimate attitude.
Starring: Cory Hardrict, Bee Vang, Clint Eastwood, Ahney Her, Brian Haley
Directed by: Clint Eastwood
U.S. Rating: R
This was the first Clint Eastwood movie I have ever seen and let me tell you, he lived up to his "tough-guy" reputation in this film even though he was 78! The beginning of the movie shows quite a few racially shocking comments and attitudes. I gasped quite a few times from the comments of Walt toward his Korean neighbors. I was, however, impressed at how Walt overcame his racial prejudice and befriended his neighbors.
What did I like from this movie?
1. I like the part where Sue sticks up for herself when she is picked on by some guys and Walt come in and saves her
2. It is definitely nice to see Walt make friends with Thao and want to protect him and his family. Even if the guy was tough, he still had love and friendship to give
3. I also liked the part when Walt thinks up the ultimate way of keeping his new friends safe and the way he prepares to see his plan through
4. Although this is a gang related movie, I like that it showed Walt making the ultimate sacrifice for his new friend and rising above his racism
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Walt says a lot of horribly racial things
2. The language was very explicit. I'm supposing the writers wanted bad language to add to Walt's tough-guy persona but I thought it was basically needless on his part. I would understand the gang's use of explicit language but I think they could have made a more intelligent way for Walt to express himself
I would rate this movie with a 3/5
