I was really excited to see The Vow. I was hoping it would be really romantic and fun at the same time. It has been awhile we've had a good rom com. Well, this isn't it. I wanted to like it. I really did. I kept pulling for it and thinking that maybe it would get batter after this scene or that one. Nope. I think Channing Tatum is hot. Until he opens his mouth. He mumbles. Really bad. In every single movie he's made. OPEN YOUR MOUTH! Tatum and Adams gave a lack luster performance. The name of the movie even got me, The Vow. Meaning, through all the struggles, they had a Vow to keep. Well, they didn't. I don't want to give away anything, but I'm going to. They get divorced! The ending shows them a yr later getting coffee. What's romantic about that?! I heard the books--based of real life events--is amazing. I think the book would tell the true story and do it better than Tatum or Adams ever could. I so wanted to like this movie. I really wish I did, but I didn't. Bleh.
I would rate this movie with a 2/5

Excited to start my new Movie Monday feature in 35mmReviews! I've decided to start this week with a short review for one of my favorite romantic comedies in 2011: Friends With Benefits.
I love chick flicks. I really do. I don't care what anybody else thinks. I've been interested in seeing what Justin Timberlake has been spending his time on instead of making us another dang album. Can't he just get back to singing already?! He's not stood out to be anything great in acting so far, so why would this be any different? Well, let me tell you my fellow movie fans, he just stepped it up! I totally bought the role he was playing. He was excellent! There are moments that I thought, "he couldn't possibly be acting! That looks so natural!" If you're sceptical about JT, don't be. He was fantastic along side Mila Kunis.
Friends with Benefits is about... well, you know what it's about by the title now don't you? The film is hilarious. I laughed the whole way through! I want to watch it over and over again. There hasn't been a good chick flick out in ages! It is re-freshing that someone got it right! Finally!! If you are looking for some laughs and a good flick to watch with your significant other, this is it!! Enjoy!
I would rate this movie with a 5/5

Synopsis: At forty-something, straight-laced Cal Weaver is living the dream--good job, nice house, great kids and marriage to his high school sweetheart. But when Cal learns that his wife, Emily, has cheated on him and wants a divorce, his "perfect" life quickly unravels. Worse, in today's single world, Cal, who hasn't dated in decades, stands out as the epitome of un-smooth. Now spending his free evenings sulking alone at a local bar, the hapless Cal is taken on as wingman and protege to handsome, thirty-something player Jacob Palmer. In an effort to help Cal get over his wife and start living his life, Jacob opens Cal's eyes to the many options before him: flirty women, manly drinks and a sense of style that can't be found at Supercuts or The Gap. Cal and Emily aren't the only ones looking for love in what might be all the wrong places: Cal's 13-year-old son, Robbie, is crazy about his 17-year-old babysitter, Jessica, who harbors a crush on Cal. And despite Cal's makeover and his many new conquests, the one thing that can't be made over is his heart, which seems to keep leading him back to where he began.

Starring: Steve Carrell,
Ryan Gosling, Emma Stone, Julianne Moore, Kevin Bacon, Crystal Reed, Marisa Tomei and Joey King
Directed by: Glenn Ficarra and John Requa
U.S. Rating: PG-13
I should start mentioning that having such an amazing cast, you couldn't expect anything less than a pretty entertaining and funny film.
Crazy Stupid Love is a fresh and light comedy about a forty-something man called Cal with a pretty standard and boring life. He finds his wife Emily has been cheating him with her co-worker, David. Knowing this situation affected his personal and marital life, his wife can't handle it anymore and asks him for a divorce. After moving into his own apartment, Cal begins frequenting a bar night after night, talking loudly about his divorce. There, he meets a young handsome guy called Jacob, that is a successful womanizer. Jacob noticed Cal talking about his divorce and rapidly offers him some help to get over the situation and be successful with women. He teaches him how to dress, how to talk and how to act towards women. Cal starts learning the lessons and become a different man, having more interaction and encounters with other women.
In the meantime, Jacob meets Hannah, a cute girl that refuses his flattering invitations. Later, they meet again and Jacob falls in love with Hannah.
Cal and Emily have a 13 year-old son, Robbie, who is deeply and crazy in love with his babysitter, Jessica. Jessica is a 17 year-old girl, daugther of Cal and Emily's best friends. Jessica, at the same time, is secretly in love with Cal. Cal will always encourage Robbie to go and fight, never stop chasing his dream and find his love, but Jessica always rejects him, because... She's in love with Robbie's father.
All these love situations will converge in just one single and hilarious situation that will make the whole film worth to watch and have a really good entertaining time and some hysterical laughs.
A simple but fresh plot, played by an amazing cast. A film worth to watch and enjoy on the big screen and some more times after coming on DVD. Totally recommended!
I would rate this movie with a 3.5/5

Synopsis: A plastic surgeon, romancing a much younger schoolteacher, enlists his loyal assistant to pretend to be his soon to be ex-wife, in order to cover up a careless lie. When more lies backfire, the assistant's kids become involved, and everyone heads off for a weekend in Hawaii that will change all their lives.

Starring: Adam Sandler, Jennifer Aniston, Nicole Kidman, Nick Swardson, Brooklyn Decker, Bailee Madison, Griffin Gluck, Dave Matthews, Kevin Nealon, Rachel Dratch, Allen Covert, Dan Patrick, Minka Kelly
Directed by: Dennis Dugan
U.S. Rating: PG-13
It's been a long run for Adam Sandler. I've watched almost every single one of his films and enjoyed most of his work. There has been some crappy films or roles performed in the past, but he's been one of those persistent actors and that has helped him to improve on his work and talent. I do believe his latest films have been more than entertaining. Probably because he's been working with such amazing and talented people and picked some really good plots. Just Go With It is one of those great films with a pretty entertaining and funny plot and an amazing cast.
Just Go With It brings the story of Danny Maccabee, a successful plastic surgeon in Los Angeles who suffered a traumatic and horrible marriage experience, after been heartbroken on his wedding day 20 years ago. Since that event, Danny has been using his wedding band to hook up with girls, just taking advantage of it living lie after lie.
Katherine Murphy is the only woman he trusts. She's his office manager and knows all of his secrets and women adventures. Katherine is a divorced woman, mother of two.
During a party night, Danny meets Palmer, a sexy, beautiful, young sixth grade math teacher. He hangs out with her all night (without his wedding band), having a great connection, but when they try to get each others phone number, Palmer finds Danny's wedding band in his jeans' pocket while she was looking for his business card.
When Danny believes Palmer is the perfect girl for him and that she might be the one, he tries to keep going out with her, but to do that, he needs to turn the wedding band into a fake marriage and gets Katherine and her children into the scene, making Palmer believe that Katherine and her kids are his wife and kids. That leads one lie to another one until it gets out of control.
At the end, when Danny and Palmer announce their wedding during their trip to Hawaii, Danny recognizes the amazing and unique connection he has with Katherine and that they might be more in loved with each other than they could ever imagine.
Just Go With It was just a refreshing and extremely funny film. It was not just about the funny plot, the amazing cast, but all the extra details that made the film really entertaining and easy to watch. We totally enjoyed and would recommend for anyone who enjoys this amazing cast and wants to have some good laughs.
By the way, you can say that Brooklyn Decker is a gorgeous girl, but even being that beautiful, when she's right next to Jennifer Aniston, she looks like out of Jennifer's league!

Synopsis: Doug MacRay is an unrepentant criminal, the de facto leader of a group of ruthless bank robbers who pride themselves in stealing what they want and getting out clean. With no real attachments, Doug never has to fear losing anyone close to him. But that all changed on the gang's latest job, when they briefly took a hostage--bank manager, Claire Keesey. Though they let her go unharmed, Claire is nervously aware that the robbers know her name and where she lives. But she lets her guard down when she meets an unassuming and rather charming man named Doug not realizing that he is the same man who only days earlier had terrorized her. The instant attraction between them gradually turns into a passionate romance that threatens to take them both down a dangerous, and potentially deadly, path.

Starring: Ben Affleck, Rebecca Hall, Jon Hamm, Jeremy Renner, Blake Lively, Titus Welliver, Pete Postlethwaite, Chris Cooper
Directed by: Ben Affleck
U.S. Rating: R
The Town, the second film directed by Ben Affleck, brings an intense and very interesting plot to its viewers. Ben Affleck didn't just do a pretty good job directing the film, but an amazing job as the lead role. With a strong plot and a first class cast, the film deserved all the good critics and comments received from its opening night.
Ben Affleck looked really mature and confident on his double role (director and actor), being considered one of his best performance to date.
The film is about Doug MacRay (Affleck), Jem Coughlin (Renner), Gloansy Magloan (Slaine), and Dez Elden (Burke), from the dangerous streets of Charlestown, a neighborhood in Boston Massachusetts. When this group robs a local bank, they decided to take Claire Keesey (Hall), the branch manager as a hostage, and released her few minutes later in a local beach. Doug and his team kept her drivers license and threatened her to not talk to the FBI. Doug decides to keep an eye on Claire but suddenly, he falls for her and they begin a new relationship that obviously will put all their entire criminal operation in jeopardy.
The FBI gets closer to Doug and his team and finds out that Doug and his crew work for Fergie Colm (Postlethwaite), a dangerous criminal that works as a local florist. When Doug tries to walk out of a last job offer from Fergie, he's threatened by Fergie, putting in danger Claire's life. Doug also finds that his mom didn't leave him when he was a kid, as he was always told by his dad, but commited suicide after Fergie supplied her with drugs. The plan was simple, break into the Femway Stadium the morning after one of the important night games and steal over 3.5 millions of sales.
Doug and the team is sold to the FBI by Krista Coughlin (Lively), a junkie that is in loved with Doug. Dressed like cops, Doug and Jem steal the money and they're ready to escape from the stadium dressed as paramedics. They notice that the stadium is already surrounded by the FBI, police and Swat. Gloansy and Dez are killed, Doug and Jem dress back as police officers and evade the FBI. Detective Adam Frawley (Hamm) recognizes Jem and tries to stop him. Jez resists the situation and he's killed, while Doug escapes in a police car.
Doug knowing the risk of this failed operation, stops at the florist and kills Fergie and his assistant, keep Claire safe and get revenge of his mother's death.
Doug plans to leave Boston forever and move south, to Florida. He calls Claire one last time and evades one last time the FBI, who was working with Claire to get capture him.
I did really enjoy the film. It had an amazing directing job and a superb cast performance, especially Ben's perfomance. I personally believe that Ben Affleck is so, but so much better actor when he's behind the cameras as a director. I highly recommend the film.
I would rate this movie with a 4/5

I had the chance this week to watch a digital copy of this recent film, "The Legend Is Born: IP Man". I heard of the first film a couple of years ago, but never had the chance to watch it.
I'm a martial arts movie lover, I must admit that. The only problem with these films is that in most of these films, all turns around the fight scenes, the rest of the plots are just empty stories, or just 'more of the same'. I've got impressed with the new martial arts experts, for example, Tony Jaa, but I never had the chance hear or watch anything about Donnie Jen, with such an amazing and sharp-skilled talent in martial arts.
This film is a prequel of the original film, IP Man, released in 2008. It brings the story of the legend in his early age, when he was just a young boy and never thought he'd become an expert and hero.
What I like about the film is the great drama and romance included in this period piece based in the ancient China. The production of this film was capable to balance the amazing fighting scenes with the great script. The fighting scenes covered all my expectations for a great martial arts film, they aresimply amazing! Great choreography.
It is highly recommended for any martial arts movie lover!

Synopsis: With John's social life at a standstill and his ex-wife about to get remarried, a down on his luck divorcee finally meets the woman of his dreams, only to discover she has another man in her life - her son. Still single seven years after the breakup of his marriage, John has all but given up on romance. But at the urging of his ex-wife and best friend Jamie, John grudgingly agrees to join her and her fiance Tim at a party. To his and everyone else's surprise, he actually manages to meet someone: the gorgeous and spirited Molly. Their chemistry is immediate. The relationship takes off quickly but Molly is oddly reluctant to take the relationship beyond John's house. Perplexed, he follows her home and discovers the other man in Molly's life: her son, Cyrus. A 21-year-old new age musician, Cyrus is his mom's best friend and shares an unconventional relationship with her. Cyrus will go to any lengths to protect Molly and is definitely not ready to share her with anyone, especially John. Before long, the two are locked in a battle of wits for the woman they both love - and it appears only one man can be left standing when it's over. Using the innovative improvisational techniques that have earned them critical accolades and a devoted following, Jay Duplass and Mark Duplass enter the mainstream with a touching, original story that blends humor and heartbreak, much like life itself.

Starring: John C. Reilly, Jonah Hill, Marisa Tomei, Catherine Keener, Matt Walsh
Directed by: Mark Duplass, Jay Duplass
U.S. Rating: R
Cyrus became one of my top favorite comedy films of this year, 2010. It easily shows that you don't need really funny lines to make it work!
The film brings the story of John (Reilly), a divorced, lonely and depressed man who just got the news that his ex-wife will be married again. His ex-wife and fiancee invited him to attend a party where he meets Molly (Tomei), a sweet beautiful woman. Their relationship heats up in a blink of an eye and suddenly, John finds some of Molly's personal secrets. While John tries to sneak into Molly's backyard, he meets Cyrus (Hill), Molly's 22-year old son.
John and Cyrus try to open up and be honest to each other, even though, Cyrus seems to take advantage of this situation and prepares a master plan to push John away from Molly's life, but John will inmediately notice it trough every little situation. Cyrus will manipulate Molly and soon will create a very unconfortable situation between her mom and John.
Just when Cyrus seems to achieve his plan and pushes John away from their lives, he notices how much Molly is suffering with this difficult situation.
An fresh and very... very entertaining romantic comedy, with such a smart sense of humor.
What I totally love about this film is that it doesn't need a very complex script, or lots of funny lines. It is all about the cast's exceptional performance, the non-verbal communication, the superb acting and all the funny and tense situations between John and Cyrus... with the amazing support of Molly and Jamie.
It is ABSOLUTELY recommended for a really good laugh!
I would rate this movie with a high 4/5

I've already provided a movie review from the two previous films, Twilight and New Moon, but I only did it after I watched the DVDs at home.
Believe it or not, I went to watch Eclipse last night. I never thought I'd go to the theater to watch one of these Twilight Saga movies, but hey... I finally did it.
I must start saying that I totally enjoyed the film! It was so cheesy for my taste, but it was really entertaining though. I didn't get some "important" details related with the books and story, but I had the best help to be updated about these details, my wifie... one of the biggest Twilight fan I've known so far.
If I had to compare the two previous films against Eclipse, I would say that the most important improvement noticed was the acting performance. One of the worst thing I found on the two previous films was the lack of acting performance offered by the cast, especially, the main characters. I personally believe that Kristen Stewart is one of the worst Hollywood actresses. Her acting in New Moon was one of the worst performances I've seen in a long time. I would also include Robert Pattinson's and Jackson Rathbone roles. Their performance was so poor that I actually laughed on every single of their scenes. Taylor Lautner was one of the decent performances on the previous films.
Well, Eclipse showed a big improvement on this matter. The film offered a better acting performance (except Jackson Rathbone's performance... he still sucks big time!). Another improvement was the CGI effects work shown on this film. I could say that it was spotless. I was glad that I could follow the story, even though, as my wifie said, there was so many details missing from the book that would help to understand more from all the situation and events shown on this film.
There were a few moments where I couldn't stop laughing. The first one, watching Taylor Lautner running and holding Kristen Stewart. It was cheesy and looked so dumb that I couldn't hold my laughs. Second one, the scene when Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson are alone at his house laying in bed. My wifie was trying to explain me why they couldn't have sex, since he'd break her, due to his powerful condition for being a vampire. You can imagine all crazy funny and bizarre things that crossed my mind while she was explaining me these details.
One last interesting detail about this film is that it didn't have the same luck as its predecessors. It was interesting to see that Eclipse couldn't hold the first position for more than a week! Twilight and New Moon were the most watched films. They kept this position for weeks and weeks. This time, Despicable Me made Eclipse eat the dust and finish second on its second week in theaters.
If you are a Twilight Saga fan and haven't watched Eclipse yet, I would recommend you to go and watch it.
After watching this one, I would consider to go and watch the two final films for the last book, Breaking Down. I think it would make happy the wifie, since she didn't expect me to go with her to watch the movie last night and actually enjoy it :)
Believe it or not, I went to watch Eclipse last night. I never thought I'd go to the theater to watch one of these Twilight Saga movies, but hey... I finally did it.
I must start saying that I totally enjoyed the film! It was so cheesy for my taste, but it was really entertaining though. Well, my wife wrote the review for Twilight, and it seems that I have to write the review of The Twilight Saga: New Moon.
I won't write anything about the plot or what it is about, since most of you know what's the film about and what happens in it. I didn't go to the movie theater to watch the film and I could not get the whole deal about "Team Jacob and Team Edward". Well, I finally took the time to watch the film at home and see for myself what was the whole deal about New Moon.
I'm going to try to be objective with my comments, trying to give my impressions of what I saw and noticed on this film.
I should start saying that it had a great image quality and pretty good CGI effects. The film tried to keep the same essence and details from Twilight. It had some really good action, suspense and romantic scenes, even a few comedy moments. So we could say that the production managed pretty good all those elements and kept the major content of the story.
The problem? The acting performance. Oh my!!! I haven't seen a film with so many acting flaws and mediocre performance like I witnessed in this film! Horrible acting! Maybe if the acting performance was better, the film could have been more entertaining.
Anyway, we'll see what we get on the "Eclipse" film, to be released in few weeks. Will they focus on improving their poor acting performance? Or will they keep just focusing on the shirtless endless scene and CGI effects? Because if that's the film all about, I can't understand what's the big deal with these books then!
What did I like from this movie?
1. Some good CGI effects
2. Great quality image
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Kristen Stewart... what a mediocre actress! Sorry, I can't help it! She SUCKS! And that goes to Robert Pattinson too. His acting scenes sucked big time! Sorry ladies, but that's the truth
2. The rest of the group sucked also on their acting performance. I could say that only a few people made a good and decent job
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

Big Daddy could be considered the first good romantic comedy/drama film for Adam Sandler. After playing a few goofy films like Billy Madison, Happy Guilmore (which I DO love), The Wedding Singer, The Waterboy, etc., Big Daddy was such a great romantic and sentimental comedy film.
I know Adam Sandler can be one of those likable actors or not. There's no grey lines with him. All the people I know either like him or not. But most of the people that have watched the film, totally loved it, no matter if they didn't like Adam Sandler. If you haven't watched the film yet, Big Daddy is a fresh and charming film that should be highly considered to be watched.
What did I like from this movie?
1. The good and fun sentimental father-son relationship shown between Adam & Cole
2. I really enjoyed the cast and script, it had the perfect combination
3. It had an amazing soundtrack selection
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Nothing at all. It was a really nice and entertaining film
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

Stifler plans to be there (for the bridesmaids!) and, more importantly, to throw the ultimate bachelor party (for the strippers!). Finch is all for the hedonistic rituals, but not for letting Stifler steal the maid of honor, who happens to be Michelle's sexy younger sister, Cadence. But while everybody else sweats and frets, Jim's Dad is cool as ever, dispensing advice that no one wants to hear and getting ready for one of the best days of his life.

Normally, huge hits like American Pie can't handle a sequel without falling into a boring, nonsense of unfunny content. This is not the case for this funny franchise. American Pie I, II and American Wedding is a perfect example of how to maintain the story and sequels as funny, creative and entertaining as the first one. There are other films that are (supposedly) related with these three original films, some of them even have one or two members of the original cast (for example, Eugene Levy), but they have nothing to do with the original trilogy and their creative funny content.
This film brings some really interesting details to their fans. First of all, American Wedding didn't fall into something boring or unfunny. It has some crazy bizarre content, but at the same time, a original and creative plot that will keep you laughing from one scene to another one.
I remember a while ago when some members of the cast were asked about a future sequel, they commented that there was a big chance for it, possibly about an affair, a baby birth or any other situation that could reunite the team. It's been almost 7 years since American Wedding, but the good thing is that new rumors are flying around the entertainment industry about a new sequel or reboot of this great franchise.
If you enjoy these comedy films and haven't had the chance to watch this one, I totally recommend it. I'm sure you'll have some good laughs.
What did I like from this movie?
1. Definitely, the best of this film is Seann William Scott's role, Stifler. It was hilarious! His change of personality and his dance scene at the gay night club were the best!
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. It's been a long time since they made this film without coming with a new fresh and good sequel or reboot with the original cast

Well, the truth about this review is that I never meant to watch this movie,in the first place. We received by post two new Blu-Rays from Netflix. I should mention that we never asked or listed this film in our list of movies, we were surprised when we received it. We decided to watch it anyway, since we were just set in from of the TV and ready to watch something and chill for the night.
Once is an Irish film about a guy who works part-time at a vacuum cleaner repair center and plays his guitar and songs on a busy street at nights, trying to move on and coup with the lost of his girlfriend (she's gone, not dead). His dream is to get a record deal and play his music. He meets a girl who is an Eastern European immigrant who moved to Dublin to start over with her life. They get connected through their music and of course, you might guess the rest of the story.
In other words, the film was all about the communication of two strangers through music and the lyrics of the songs they sang. It was actually annoying! I don't know, maybe it was me (since I'm not into musicals), or the film was so slow and boring that I didn't get it. I was bored out of my mind watching it, and I knew how bad it was because my wife Mary, who is a helpless romantic person, couldn't stand this film either.
I took some time just to read a little bit about the film, since it was the first time I heard (and watched) this film. Most of the reviews, critics and comments expressed the best about it, saying that it was one of the best films of the year (2007), a beautiful romantic film that was able to express its beauty through the music and lyrics sung by the lead roles.
I just say that I totally disagree with these reviews, comments and critics. Anyway, if you feel like watching it, do it! I'm just sharing my personal experience, ideas and impressions about the film. Maybe you could be another person out there who thinks it is actually an amazing and romantic film. In my case, I won't recommend the film.
What did I like from this movie?
1. Nothing
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. The girl walking with the broken vacuum everywhere. So annoying and unfunny
2. I didn't know if I was watching a film or a musical. If it was a film, it sucked... if it was a musical, could be considered the worst musical ever

Starring: Ellen Page, Marcia Gay Harden, Kristen Wiig, Drew Barrymore, Juliette Lewis
Directed by: Drew Barrymore
U.S. Rating: PG-13
Drew Barrymore impressively made such an amazing impression with Whip It, not just for the fresh script, talented cast, but her clever eye on this, her first time role as a director. She had such a great taste and eye, putting everything together and offer such an enjoyable film for everyone. Ellen Page brought once again her charming and sarcastic sense of humor and personality to her role and mixed it with that image of the sweet, modest, naive and honest girl that wants to cross the line and show that excitement for risky sports and the things she wants to fight for. Going against her parents' desires and goals, trying to make her live the life they wanted for her, she found her passion and love when she met the girls of the rough-and-tumble sport of roller derby. The plot is based on all the drama, romance, sport competition involved in her decision and actions. a really good, fresh and entertaining film. Totally recommended.

Synopsis: Jane is the mother of three grown kids, owns a thriving Santa Barbara bakery/restaurant and has - after a decade of divorce - an amicable relationship with her ex-husband, attorney Jake. But when Jane and Jake find themselves out of town for their son's college graduation, things start to get complicated. An innocent meal together turns into the unimaginable - an affair. With Jake remarried to the much younger Agness, Jane is now, of all things, the other woman. Caught in the middle of their renewed romance is Adam, an architect hired to remodel Jane's kitchen. Healing from a divorce of his own, Adam starts to fall for Jane, but soon realizes he's become part of a love triangle. Should Jane and Jake move on with their lives, or is love truly lovelier the second time around? It's--complicated.
Starring: Meryl Streep, Steve Martin, Alec Baldwin, John Krasinski, Lake Bell
Directed by: Nancy Meyers
U.S. Rating: R
Following her previews romantic comedy films (What Women Want, Something's Gotta Give and The holiday), Nancy Meyers showed us once again her unique talent as a screenwriter, director and producer with the film It's Complicated.
It's Complicated is the story of Jane (Meryl Streep), a divorced mother of three grown kids who finally has found the perfect balance in her family, single life, business & professional career. She's maintained a friendly relationship with her ex-husband Jake (Alec Baldwin), the man who cheated her with a younger girl, the same one he married after their divorce. During a family weekend in New York celebrating their younger son's graduation, an innocent meal turns into something extremely complicated, an affair! This initial encounter led them to few other encounters. While Jane tried to avoid this complicated situation (at least for her), Jake let all those his repressed feelings for Jane to be released and gets to the point of being a stalker (well, sort of!). While Jane and Jake debate with their personal feelings and complicated situation, Adam, Jane's architect gets in scene. Jane has the chance to know him better, finding so many similarities in their lives. Adam could be considered that kind of person that is in the wrong place at the wrong time. After facing a traumatic divorce, he's trying to avoid the situation that he finally had to face... being in the middle of two people that were meant to be together, no matter what.
A really interesting and funny plot supported by such a great and funny cast. Nancy Meyers worked in a very smart way not just the script, but the direction of the film, giving to all its viewers a pretty entertaining story. It is totally recommended!
What did I like from this movie?
1. Jake (Alec Baldwin) is so cocky that was perfect for the role
2. Meryl Streep, as usual, played a precious and enjoyable role
3. The plot was so well written and directed by Nancy Meyers
4. I totally laughed with some of the quotes and dialogues in this film, great script!
5. The scenes at the hotel, the chat session in the bedrooms and the fertility center
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. I didn't like that Adam (Steve Martin) had to end alone at the end of the film, being "the nice guy" on this film
I would rate this movie with a 4/5
Directed by: Nancy Meyers

With Kiki as his secret weapon, Lee just might make this weekend go off without a hitch. At first it seems Lee and Kiki's biggest challenge is to maintain the peace between Gwen and Eddie and keep their high profile image intact, but soon Kiki finds she's faced with a more important concern as her longtime friendship with Eddie surprisingly begins to take a romantic turn.

U.S. Rating: PG-13
Having such an amazing cast, America's Sweethearts could have been way much better than it really was. A comedy about that plastic and bold relationship between the entertainment press, Hollywood stars and public in general. The plot could have offered so much more, since they had so much material to bring a pretty strong romantic comedy script. No matter what, the unique cast was able to make the film so enjoyable and worth to watch. Each one of the people involved shined in their own sphere with their professionalism. Billy Crystal was amazing! He stole the show with his hilarious role of the smart and ingenious agent who takes advantage of every single situation and turned them into publicity for the movie and projects. Even though I think it could be so much better, I totally recommend this film for a good and quiet movie night.
What did I like from this movie?
1. Billy Crystal was the bomb in this film, excellent!
2. Hank Azaria's role (Hector) was hilarious, his Spanish accent and the fight he has at the Hotel restaurant
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. The plot was too plastic and could have offered more strong material
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

Synopsis: When three popular girls from different cliques discover they've all been dating the school stud, they band together to seek revenge. Starring: Jesse Metcalfe, Sophia Bush, Brittany Snow, Ashanti, Arielle Kebbel

U.S. Rating: PG-13
As a typical high-school revenge comedy film, John Tucker Must Die is not the worst, but not quite as good as other teen films from our list either. Offering few smile-worthy gags and goofy, romantic situations. It also offers a pretty simple, basic but entertaining script and cast. Sadly, it is as good as forgettable! I remember the first time I watched it, it was kind of goofy but entertaining, but few days later, I couldn't even remember most of the situations shown on this film. Jesse Metcalfe, who became more notorious on TV after his role as the teenage gardener on Desperate Houswives plays the role of John Tucker, the guys who has it all... fame, captain of the school basket ball team, not one... or two... but three girlfriends! who gets the revenge of his three ex-girlfriends with the help of the humble and charming girl who hasn't had a boyfriend ever before... Brittany Snow. It could be considered worth to watch on a long day or weekend at home if you have nothing else to do and Netflix can't offer anything better :)
What did I like from this movie?
1. Young and fresh cast, it is always good to watch a good cast of fresh young people that are actually good performers
2. There are some funny situations
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. We can't expect a really good material from these cheesy teen films
I would rate this movie with a 2/5

Starring: Nicolas Cage, Téa Leoni, Don Cheadle, Jeremy Piven, Saul Rubinek
Directed by: Brett Ratner
U.S. Rating: PG-13
An ideal movie for the Christmas season without being a Christmas movie! Yes, it is a Christmas movie, but the message is not about Christmas. It is all about the importance of Family upon any other temporal interests like work, professional success, fame or money. The Family Man is such a great family movie for a quiet and relaxing movie night to be enjoyed with the loved one. I must be honest and say that I didn't feel any chemistry between Nicolas Cage and Téa Leoni, but it doesn't mean that I didn't enjoy their roles and the way they worked together. Both of them were brilliant in their own dimension and roles. When we put all together: their amazingly well performed roles, the strong script and the season, the results are really enjoyable. Totally recommended!
What did I like from this movie?
1. What I liked the most was the end, since it was totally unexpected. After switching his wealthy and successful professional & single life to his married life with so many financial limitations and different career, I was expecting that he'd decide to choose to maintain his second stage after experiencing the importance of family and true happiness, but... I was wrong, and I liked the final
2. Both lead roles were nicely played, even though, if I had to choose the best one, I could say that Téa Leoni played an amazing role in this movie
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. I didn't find anything wrong with the film, even though, it was kinda corny in a couple of times (but I still liked it!)
I would rate this movie with a 4/5

Directed by: Jordan Gertner, Michael Jaffe, Nicholas D. Tabarrok
U.S. Rating: PG-13
The film is so ridiculously cheesy that it repelled ALL my attibutes to keep focused on the film and at least, enjoy it. As far as I remember, I've seen Freddy Prinze playing the same cheesy and boring role of the charming, romantic, handsome good guy that falls in love of the lead girl and live the perfect romance, breaking all the bounderies on their love journey. I've seen him playing this boring role over and over again. Jack & Jill vs the World is not an exception. He plays the role of an important business agent who falls inlove with a crazy girl who's facing lots of problems. They start a romantic relationship that will lead them to some critical and important decisions and actions in their lives.
I could provide more details, but I would write the escense of the plot in just a couple of lines. I couldn't recommend the film to anyone who is seriously looking for an entertaining and enjoyable film.
What did I like from this movie?
1. The only part tha I really enjoyed in this film is when Freddy Prinze wakes up one morning and he shows this big tatoo in his right arm. 20 minutes later, there's another morning scene when he wakes up and... guess what! He has the same tatoo, this time, in his left arm! Are the producers so retarded that they weren't able to identify this awful mistake? At least, it kept me interested in the film, just waiting for the next morning scene... maybe he'd get the same tatoo in his back of chest! So ridiculous
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. So ridiculously cheesy! I wanted to cut my vains watching this film
I would rate this movie with a 1/5

Synopsis: When upscale, happily unmarried San Francisco couple Kate and Brad find themselves socked in by fog on Christmas morning, their exotic vacation plans morph into the family-centric holiday they had, until now, gleefully avoided. Out of obligation--and unable to escape--they trudge to not one, not two, but four relative-choked festivities, increasingly mortified to find childhood fears raised, adolescent wounds reopened... and their very future together uncertain. As Brad counts the hours to when he can get away from their parents, step-parents, siblings and an assortment of nieces and nephews, Kate is starting to hear the ticking of a different kind of clock. And by the end of the day, she is beginning to wonder if their crazy families' choices are not so crazy after all.
Starring: Vince Vaughn, Reese Witherspoon, Noah Munck, Haley Hallak, Robert Duvall
Directed by: Seth Gordon
U.S. Rating: PG-13
Four Christmases, the latest christmas movie with Vince Vaughn and Reese Witherspoon is worth to watch. It is about a couple with no serious commitment about their relationship, that enjoy to live their lives together and relax on their christmas holidays away from their parents and relatives. They never expected that right at the very last moment of their perfectly conceived plan, a deep fog that covered San Francisco Bay would ruin their holidays. While being at the airport trying to find a flight to escape on their holidays, they're approached by a TV News reporter and suddenly, they've found caught on camera and contacted by their families. Then, they have to cancel their plans and visit their families for christmas. Both of them have 2 families to visit, their mothers' families, and their fathers' families. A really entertaining plot with some thoughful situations about the importance of couples' commitments and family relationships. A really good and entertaining movie for this christmas season, now that it has finally been released on DVD!
What did I like from this movie?
1. The most hilarious scenes on this movie is the moment they visit Reese's mother and her family! Her mother, grandmother, sister and other ladies in that house are a bunch of cougars!
2. So funny when Vince is intimidated by Reese's sister and her hot appearance. She gives the baby to her husband who's playing video games and she says... "he's good with babies"
3. Hilarious when the baby vomits on Reese's blouse and Vince is about to vomit too because it is really disgusting for him
4. Vince's dad and brothers, so funny! I really laughed when they're opening their gifts and Vince gave a XBox to the little kid and a satellite dish to his dad when they set a top of $10 per gifts
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. I really enjoyed this christmas comedy, I don't find anything wrong with it. It's a good option for a good relaxing night on christmas season
I would rate this movie with a 3/5
