Trailers of the Month

Will Ferrell is one of the weirdest and funniest guys in Hollywood, and guess what? I DO love his work. I'm always aware of his work and never miss his films on theaters. Said this, I most say that if I haven't missed any of his films before, I won't miss his latest work... No matter what! Casa De Mi Padre is the latest comedy film starring Will Ferrell, Gael Garcia Bernal and Diego Luna. The weird thing and most interesting thing to watch in this film will be Will Ferrell talking in spanish, that will definitely be something worth to watch! So, here's the movie trailer for your consideration. The official release date hasn't been announced yet, so keep an eye on it, since it might be released sometime later this year.

Focus Features has released Anne Hathaway's latest romantic film, One Day. The film will be released this next August 19th. Based on the #1 international bestseller written by David Nicholls. By the way, could someone explain me why, in the scene where the guy is driving the white car, he's driving in the UK, the car wheel is on the right side, but they're driving on the "right side" of the road!... (hmmm. Maybe they're in Ireland, I don't know).

Mandy Moore's latest film, Love Wedding Marriage, is about to be released this next June 3rd, and the movie trailer has just been released just a few days ago. I like Mandy Moore, she's pretty, a good singer and a good actress, even though, what I don't really like about her work is that she's been stuck into these kind of romantic roles forever. I'm sure it will be an entertaining romantic comedy, even though, I think it is time for her to get herself into a different and interesting movie project.
Synopsis: When newlywed marriage counselor Ava learns that her parents, whose marriage she's always idealized, are headed for divorce, she cannot accept it. Ava sets out on a dangerous path to save her parents' marriage at the expense of her own, manipulating loved ones to achieve her objectives.

Movie Trailer: Abduction

Sunday, May 8, 2011 0 comments

Lionsgate has released the new movie trailer for Taylor Lauther's latest film, Abduction. It's time to leave Twilight back in the past and try to work on some good material, right? I mean, I believe that any actor that wants some respect for his work doesn't want to be labeled or remembered for being a "wolf" all the time. Anyway, I'm always into these kind of plots, even though, it looks a little bit like a "Bourne" wanna-be kind of film. So far, it promises a great cast and some good action scenes, so I'll keep an eye on it!
Synopsis: A teen finds himself in mortal danger after realizing that his entire childhood has been built on lies. Realizing that the people who raised him aren't his real parents after stumbling across a childhood photo of himself on a website devoted to missing children, the frightened teen flees for his life as FBI agents Frank Burton and Sandra Burns race to protect him and uncover the truth about his mysterious past.

The second trailer for the upcoming film, Cowboys & Aliens has been released just a few days ago. Jon Favreau, the director of Iron Man, and the producers Ron Howard and Steven Spielberg worked on one of the most expected action flick for next Summer 2011: Cowboys & Aliens. Starring Daniel Craig, Olivia Wilde, Harrison Ford  & Sam Rockwell. It is definitely one of the most expected films this year, and one of the top "must-see" in my personal list! This new trailer has confirmed that position in my list.
Synopsis: 1873. Arizona Territory. A stranger with no memory of his past stumbles into the hard desert town of Absolution. The only hint to his history is a mysterious shackle that encircles one wrist. What he discovers is that the people of Absolution don't welcome strangers, and nobody makes a move on its streets unless ordered to do so by the iron-fisted Colonel Dolarhyde. It's a town that lives in fear.

But Absolution is about to experience fear it can scarcely comprehend as the desolate city is attacked by marauders from the sky. Screaming down with breathtaking velocity and blinding lights to abduct the helpless one by one, these monsters challenge everything the residents have ever known.

Now, the stranger they rejected is their only hope for salvation. As this gunslinger slowly starts to remember who he is and where heĂ‚¿s been, he realizes he holds a secret that could give the town a fighting chance against the alien force. With the help of the elusive traveler Ella, he pulls together a posse comprised of former opponents - townsfolk, Dolarhyde and his boys, outlaws and Apache warriors - all in danger of annihilation. United against a common enemy, they will prepare for an epic showdown for survival.

Here's the movie trailer for the upcoming documentary, Forks Over Knives. Yes, another documentary... Forks Over Knives is a documentary about health, food and deceases in America.
Synopsis: Examines the profound claim that most, if not all, of the degenerative diseases that afflict us can be controlled, or even reversed, by rejecting our present menu of animal-based and processed foods. Dr. Campbell, a nutritional scientist at Cornell University, was concerned in the late 1960's with producing "high quality" animal protein to bring to the poor and malnourished areas of the third world. While in the Philippines, he made a life-changing discovery: the country's wealthier children, who were consuming relatively high amounts of animal-based foods, were much more likely to get liver cancer. Dr. Esselstyn, a top surgeon and head of the Breast Cancer Task Force at the world-renowned Cleveland Clinic, found that many of the diseases he routinely treated were virtually unknown in parts of the world where animal-based foods were rarely consumed.

Universal Pictures has released a restricted movie trailer for the upcoming comedy film, The Change-Up. Starring Ryan Reynolds, Jason Bateman, Olivia Wilde and Leslie Mann. Another comedy on my "must-see" list for the year. The plot might not be as original as we'd expect, but I'm sure that this excellent cast will make it more than worth to watch.

While Dave is an overworked lawyer, husband and father of three, Mitch has remained a single, quasi-employed man-child who has never met a responsibility he liked. Definitely one of the most expected projects with Ryan Reynolds this year. Green Lantern will be released worldwide this next month (June 2011), and Warner Brothers finally released the most recent movie trailer for this film. Starring Ryan Reynolds, Blake Lively, Angela Bassett and Tim Robbins, among others. With such a great cast, I expect it to be a great film to watch. I'm not entirely convinced with all the excessive CGI content shown on this trailer, but I believe it will be worth to watch.
Synopsis: In a universe as vast as it is mysterious, a small but powerful force has existed for centuries. Protectors of peace and justice, they are called the Green Lantern Corps. A brotherhood of warriors sworn to keep intergalactic order, each Green Lantern wears a ring that grants him superpowers. But when a new enemy called Parallax threatens to destroy the balance of power in the Universe, their fate and the fate of Earth lie in the hands of their newest recruit, the first human ever selected: Hal Jordan. Hal is a gifted and cocky test pilot, but the Green Lanterns have little respect for humans, who have never harnessed the infinite powers of the ring before. But Hal is clearly the missing piece to the puzzle, and along with his determination and willpower, he has one thing no member of the Corps has ever had: humanity. With the encouragement of fellow pilot and childhood sweetheart Carol Ferris, if Hal can quickly master his new powers and find the courage to overcome his fears, he may prove to be not only the key to defeating Parallax... he will become the greatest Green Lantern of all.

The new movie trailer from the latest film from the producers of 300, Inmortals. The first time I watched the film, the first thing I thought was... "This film looks like a 300 wanna-be kinda film", but obviously, after checking that the production team was the same one from the film 300, I knew it was the trademark, since the production looks so alike. Anyway, even though I enjoyed 300, I must say it is not my kind of film, but at least I admit it seems to be a good film to watch. Let's wait for any other future trailer released and see if I'm convinced :)
Synopsis: The brutal and bloodthirsty King Hyperion and his murderous Heraklion army are rampaging across Greece in search of the long lost Bow of Epirus. With the invincible Bow, the king will be able to overthrow the Gods of Olympus and become the undisputed master of his world.
