Synopsis: The group of friends had all they would need for a successful Easter vacation; cabin, skis, snowmobile, toboggan, copious amounts of beer and a fertile mix of the sexes. Certainly, none of them had anticipated not returning home alive! However, the Nazi-zombie battalion haunting the mountains surrounding the aptly named Oksfjord (Axefjord) had other plans...

Starring: Vegar Hoel, Stig Frode Henriksen, Charlotte Frogner, Lasse Valdal, Jenny Skavlan
Directed by: Tommy Wirkola
U.S. Rating: Not Rated
A woman, Sara, (Ane Dahl Torp) is being chased through the snows of Norway. She is ultimately cornered and eaten by zombies in World War II Schutzstaffel (SS) uniforms.
Seven students on Easter vacation arrive at a small cabin near Øksfjord. The cabin is owned by Sara, Vegard's (Lasse Valdal) girlfriend. The group begins to drink and party until a mysterious hiker (Bjørn Sundquist) arrives. He tells them the dark history of the region; during World War II, a force of Einsatzgruppe, led by Standartenführer Herzog (Ørjan Gamst), occupied the area. For three years the Nazis abused and tortured the local people. Near the end of the war, with Germany's defeat looming, the soldiers looted all the town's valuables. However, the citizens stage an uprising and ambushed the Nazis, killing many. The survivors, including Herzog, were chased into the mountains, and it was assumed that they all froze to death. The hiker then continues on his way.
The next morning Vegard takes the group's snowmobile out to look for Sara. He stumbles on a tent in which he discovers the disemboweled body of the hiker from the previous night. He continues his search when he falls through the snow into a cave. Meanwhile, after it gets dark, the other students find an old wooden box filled with valuables hidden under the floor. They celebrate by haphazardly throwing the treasure above their heads, and one pockets a gold coin. They eventually decide to stow it back where it came from. Erlend (Jeppe Laursen) goes to the outhouse where Chris (Jenny Skavlan) meet him and the two have sex. On her way to the outhouse, Chris inadvertently drops a gold coin, which awakes a Nazi zombie. After the liaison, Erlend returns to the group. Chris stays to use the outhouse but is attacked and murdered. The others go outside to look for her, finding Sara's rucksack buried in the snow.
The zombies arrive at the cabin. Erlend (Jeppe Laursen) is killed before the remaining students manage to seal the windows and door and survive the night. Vegard comes around in the cave, discovering WWII German firearms and helmets, as well as Sara's severed head. Vegard is attacked by zombies and is badly bitten in the neck by one. He manages to kill them and escape on the snowmobile, which he equips with a machine gun.
Meanwhile, the remaining four students in the cabin decide to split up. The two men, Martin (Vegar Hoel) and Roy (Stig Frode Henriksen), attempt to distract the zombies, while the two women, Hanna (Charlotte Frogner) and Liv (Evy Kasseth Røsten), run for the cars and go for help. En route to the cars, the girls are ambushed and Liv is killed. While she is being disemboweled, she manages to destroy several of the zombies by activating one of their hand grenades. After killing two zombies Hanna is chased to the edge of a cliff by a zombie. She turns and faces the zombie and stomps on the ground, causing the ice to crack, and both of them to fall. Both survive, and are submerged in snow; Hanna digs her way out and kills the zombie.
Martin and Roy, holed up in the cabin, accidentally set fire to it with Molotov cocktails. As they escape, they discover that the shed next to the cabin contains numerous power tools, with which they equip themselves. More zombies attack, but Martin and Roy manage to fend them off with the aid of Vegard, who returns with the snowmobile. However, Vegard is killed during the fight. Herzog arrives with another group of zombies, including SS men, but Martin and Roy manage to kill them all. Martin is bitten on the arm and cuts it off with a chainsaw to avoid turning into a zombie, but a zombie bites him on the genitals. Herzog then raises many other zombies from all around and the two students run. While on the run, Roy is hit in the head by Herzog, disoriented runs into a tree and is disemboweled.
Martin comes to realize that the zombies are after the box in the cabin. He runs to the burnt-out remains of the cabin, and gives the box to Herzog. He manages to get away, and, upon reaching the car, a coin from the box falls out of Martin's pocket. Swearing, he looks around to see Herzog smashing the car window.

This movie is a Norwegian comedy horror film and it was much better than I originally thought it was going to be. It had some hilarious parts that I wouldn't have thought up myself, like when one guy is trying to defend the snow cabin by throwing a cocktail they set on fire out the window at a zombie but miss the window and end up setting the cabin on fire instead. There was still a lot of classic zombie stuff going on but adding in Nazi zombies, a surprise ending, and some pretty funny stuff at times and you have a decent film. Worth the watch if you like zombies (and I DO)! It is in Norwegian, so as long as you aren't one of those people who don't like having to read their movies (or if you know Norwegian...) then it isn't bad. I thought the plot wasn't half bad, even if it DID have some stereotypical zombie scenes. Acting wasn't the best you'll see around but wasn't the worst either. The Nazi zombie costumes were pretty good and special effects not bad, as well. It wasn't necessarily scary (unless you get scared over the gory stuff) since it was supposed to have comedy in it. Worth watching if you like zombie comedy films that are subtitled.
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

Synopsis: Two college students discover a strange circus tent which servces as a breeding ground for "killer clowns" who terrorize a small town.

Starring: Grant Cramer, Suzanne Snyder, John Allen Nelson, Royal Dano, John Vernon
Directed by: Stephen Chiodo
U.S. Rating: PG-13
An army of sadistic extraterrestrial life forms (who resemble clowns) land their circus tent ship in the sleepy American town of Crescent Cove (filmed in Watsonville/Santa Cruz, California). Mike Tobacco (Cramer) and Debbie Stone (Snyder), a couple out for the romantic evening, spot the newcomers and, thinking the ship was a shooting star, decide to investigate. They soon encounter the Klowns and barely escape capture, while the remaining teenagers are quickly killed by the aliens. Mike and Debbie rush into town to warn others of the impending danger while the Klowns follow them into town.
Naturally, they first try to warn the police. Sgt. Mooney, the police sergeant, is convinced that the two are nothing more than kids trying to pull a prank. They are viewed with equal skepticism by another police officer, Dave Hanson (John Allen Nelson), Debbie's ex-boyfriend.
Meanwhile, the Klown Army marches into Crescent Cove, inflicting a massive genocide during their occupation. They harvest the unsuspecting population, blasting random victims with a ray gun that cocoons them with cotton candy like substance, with lethal results. The Klown Army uses a variety of seemingly innocent methods to ensnare their victims, such as killer shadow puppets, bloodhound-like balloon animals, and a ray gun that looks like a child's toy. Since the methods themselves appear whimsical, the townspeople don't realize they are in danger until it's too late.
Hanson is taken to the hills, where he sees the hole in the ground. Thinking Mike a liar Hanson places him under arrest. Hanson only starts to believe that something is going on when he discovers Bob McReed's broken glasses. Meanwhile, Mooney also discovers the truth when one of the Klowns appears at the police station, although he thinks it all an elaborate hoax till it is too late.
When Officer Hanson sees a Klown use a Tyrannosaurus rex shadow puppet to capture a group of townspeople waiting for a bus, he is finally convinced of the danger, and offers to help Mike and Debbie (who have also recruited the Terenzi brothers, a pair of local goof-offs who drive an ice cream truck). Hanson later arrives at the police station and discovers Mooney dead and being used as a puppet by the Klown that slew him. A horrified Hanson shoots the Klown several times with no effect until he shoots the Klown's nose; at that point, the Klown dramatically spins around until it eventually explodes, becoming the first Klown to be killed by a human.
While the town is being slaughtered, Debbie is attacked twice and taken away by the Klowns in a balloon.
Debbie is taken back to the Klowns' "Big Top" circus tent-spaceship. Mike, Officer Hanson, and the Terenzi brothers pursue them. It is there that they discover why the Klown Army has been capturing people. By cocooning them inside their cotton candy, the Klowns gelatinize the humans' bodies into a liquid that is digestible. Vast numbers of victims (a majority of the town's population) are being stored aboard Big Top. The Klowns insert a crazy straw into Mayor of the Crescent Cove inside the cotton candy, sucking the deceased Mayor's gelatinized body.
Debbie is eventually freed, and the Terenzi Brothers' ice cream truck is crashed into their spaceship. Mike, Debbie, and Officer Hanson run to the truck, but it won't start. JoJo, a 30 ft. tall Klown and leader of the Klown Army, emerges for the film's climax. Mike, Debbie, and Hanson all run, but Rich and Paul stay in the truck "because it's a rental." JoJo seemingly kills Rich and Paul. A showdown between Hanson and Klown Emperor ensues, while Mike and Debbie are told to escape. Hanson is caught by the Klown's clutches. The Klown brings Hanson to his face and in turn is destroyed by Hanson who uses his police badge to penetrate the Klown's nose. It and the alien's spaceship explode. Despite everything, the heroes and the Terenzis survive with only minor injuries. Debbie then asks if its over and pies fly down and hit them both in the face to the sound of the clowns laughter.

WOW! is about all I can say for this movie. If you can appreciate super corny "horror" films then this one is a must see. Some movies are SO bad they're good and this one is one of those. The Killer Klowns from outer space were everything you'd think they would be for a low budget 1988 film. They kept their victims in giant cocoon eggs made out of cotton candy, had a dog made out of balloons that chased victims, used popcorn to shoot at people, and captured townspeople with a T-Rex shadow puppet! This movie had bad acting and not much better of a plot line, but like I said before, if you love these movies for a good laugh at how truly horrible some movie making can be then it is worth the watch. Otherwise, don't waste your time. It isn't worth the watch if you are looking for a real horror film - only for a few laughs.

Synopsis: Every year the population of sleepy Lake Victoria explodes from 5,000 to 50,000 for Spring Break, a riot of sun and drunken fun. But this year, there's something more to worry about than hangovers and complaints from local old timers; A new type of terror is about to be cut loose on Lake Victoria. After a sudden underwater tremor sets free scores of the prehistoric man-eating fish, an unlikely group of strangers must band together to stop themselves from becoming fish food for the area's new razor-toothed residents.

Starring: Elisabeth Shue, Adam Scott, Jerry O'Connell, Ving Rhames, Richard Dreyfuss
Directed by: Alexandre Aja

The first time I watched the trailer for "Piranha 3D", I couldn't stop thinking on the big success the original film had in 1978. Obviously, I didn't watch the film at that time, since I was just a young boy, but I heard a lot of it in the news and got all the comments from my brother and his friends. I totally thought they would try to just remake it and bring the best of 3D to give a great entertainment time.
The story is simple: It is Spring Break at Lake Victoria (Arizona). The local sheriff, Julie Forester, is being pushed to her limits. She's being informed about the mysterious disappearance and death of a local, and at the same time, her town is being overrun by crazy unruly teenagers. She senses that there's something dangerous is lurking beneath the surface of the lake, but not even she suspects tof the horror waiting for them, mutant piranhas that are down there, waiting to fill up their bellies with all these crazy young people having wild fun under the sun in this lake. When they find the origins of this mysterious death and the great danger they're facing in this lake, they start a race against time to get everyone out of the water and find a way to kill these mutant piranhas. What she doesn't expect is that her 18-year-old son, Jake, who was supposed to be at home watching his younger sister and brother, is in the lake, stuck in a sinking boat with his younger brother, sister and girlfriend.
I was totally wrong. To be honest, I don't know what to think about the film. More than being scared of these dangerous creatures and the horrifying situations, I couldn't stop laughing of what I was watching. I mean, the acting wasn't bad at all, it actually had a pretty good cast. My problem was with the content. It was actually gross. Man-eating fish, blood everywhere... and I mean lots and lots of blood!, nudity, even some poor make-up and CGI scenes.
p.s.: What's up with the penis' scene? Was that really necessary?
So, if you were expecting an exciting thriller and scary plot, similar to the successful one 32 years ago, you'll be extremely disappointed.
I would rate this movie with a 2/5

Synopsis: A motorcycle stuntman, Johnny Blaze, makes a pact with a dark force, selling his soul to save his girlfriend. When the bargain goes sour and the girl isn't saved, Blaze is transformed, gaining raging superpowers. Based on the Marvel comic series.
Starring: Nicolas Cage, Wes Bentley, Eva Mendes, Matthew Long, Peter Fonda
Directed by: Mark Steven Johnson
U.S. Rating: PG-13
It's been a while since we saw Nicolas Cage with a decent haircut, right? He has tried some different haircut style on his most recent films, and the truth is that none of them has really worked. But, no matter how ugly his hair might look, we can't say that he's such a good actor.
Anyway, if Ghost Rider didn't have Nicolas Cage as the lead role, the story of this film would be totally different. He gave life to the film and tried to cover the many different holes on this weak script.
Nicolas Cage is Johnny Blaze, a motorcycle stuntman who was forced to make a pact with the devil on his early years, just to save the life of his father, who was dying with a terminal cancer. Right the morning after he made this pact, his father was healthy and cured from his cancer, but he died that same day on an accident at one of his stunt acts. That day, Johnny left everything behind, especially his true and pure love Roxanne Simpson. He grew up and became a famous motorcycle while Roxanne became a famous journalist. They met at one of his stunt shows and from there on, destiny would help them to share their lives, experiences and tragedies.
The pact? Johnny sold his sold to the devil, and the devil wants to use him to fight his fights and collect those unpaid debts with some other demons. At the end of this fights, the devil wants to get all this power gained by Johnny, but he'll refuse and decides to be the Ghost Rider, just preparing the room for the sequel that is already on the "negotiating and script acceptance" process.
It is actually a good and enjoyable film. If you don't hold it under close scrutiny, it can be really entertaining. Especially because it can be considered an entertaining action/horror film being rated PG-13.
What did I like from this movie?
1. Really good CGI effects
2. Great cast involved in this film
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. A weak plot, not worth for the good CGI content and cast involved in the film

Synopsis: An out-of-the-way diner becomes the unlikely battleground for the survival of the human race. When God loses faith in Mankind, he sends his legion of angels to bring on the Apocalypse. Humanity's only hope lies in a group of strangers trapped in a desert diner and the Archangel Michael.
Starring: Paul Bettany, Lucas Black, Tyrese Gibson, Adrianne Palicki, Charles S. Dutton
Directed by: Scott Charles Stewart
U.S. Rating: R
I'd personally describe Legion as an action film with some suspense/horror content. The horror content is not scary at all, totally predictable.
It is a little bit confusing to be followed. I mean, the whole thing of watching the Archangel Gabriel fighting against a legion of angels sent by God after losing the faith in mankind. But I could say that it comes to second place once you start watching the film and enjoying the action/horror/suspense scenes and situations.
Since the first moment I watched the trailer, I knew it would be an entertaining film. I had the chance to watch it and I'm not disappointed. The film offers some really good effects and action sequences. The amazing cast, selected for this film, plus some remarkable scenes helped this simple and totally predictable supernatural plot.
I will totally recommend you Legion if you don't mind to watch a "OK" action/horror/suspense film supported by a great cast.
What did I like from this movie?
1. Gladys Foster... I loved her! That crazy old lady definitely stole the show on this film
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. As said before, I was a little bit confused about the plot, maybe because I was trying to relate the reason of God sending his Angels to destroy humanity and Archangel Gabriel fights them back to protect a child and a bunch of people in a bar in the middle of the desert
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

I will totally recommend you Legion if you don't mind to watch a "OK" action/horror/suspense film supported by a great cast.
What did I like from this movie?
1. Gladys Foster... I loved her! That crazy old lady definitely stole the show on this film
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. As said before, I was a little bit confused about the plot, maybe because I was trying to relate the reason of God sending his Angels to destroy humanity and Archangel Gabriel fights them back to protect a child and a bunch of people in a bar in the middle of the desert
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

U.S. Rating: R
Director Joe Johnston worked on an amazing remake of the classic The Wolfman. He tried to keep the characters, story, period in history and essence offered in this classic from 1941. For this reason, it is not a reboot, sequel or prequel. He didn't try to adapt the story or change the period in history and, everyone agrees that it was the best decision, since it helped to keep the beauty of this film.
I'm honest, I haven't watched this classic from 1941, but I'm so looking forward to watch it! All the comments and information written and offered about this original film express that it is such an amazing horror film.
The Wolfman, for those who haven't watched the original classic from 1941, tells the story of Lawrence Talbot (Benicio Del Toro), a well-known actor from London who was raised in the U.S. by his aunt. When he gets a letter from his brother's fiancee, Gwen Conliffe (Emily Blunt), letting him know that his brother has been missing for two weeks, he decides to go back to London and find who or what killed his brother.
His search leads him to the gypsies. He tries to find some answers about a horrible attack suffered by a group of men, who were all mutilated. He visits this group and tries to find the relationship or business between his brother and this group of people. While he's trying to find answers, the group is attacked by this fast and deadly mysterious creature. Soon, Lawrence will find himself chasing this creature in the middle of the night, being attacked and injured by this creature.
Lawrence is taken back to his father's house (Anthony Hopkins), who has immediately called the doctor and prepared everything to attend and take care of his son. Gwen takes care of him while he heals in such an accelerated and unusual way. They notice that a sense of attraction is growning in their hearts while he's recovering of these injuries and she takes care of him.
Lawrence starts realizing what happened to him and how it will affect the rest of his life. This information is spread among all the population and he's immediately considered a threat to everyone, but his father protects him from the townsfolk and reveals some secrets kept away from Lawrence and the rest of the world.
The nights before the full moon, Lawrence notices his father walking out to a crypt right next to their home. He decides to follow him and finds some secrets, while his father locks himself in this crypt and leaves Lawrence free. Lawrence soon faces his new reality, when he becomes a furious and dangerous creature who has attacked some people and slaughtered every single animal found on his way. A Scotland Yard inspector arrives to town to investigate the deaths, while all the leads take him to Lawrence and his unnatural healing after being attacked by the beast. He is arrested and placed in a mental institution while the doctors try to get some details about his abnormal physical conditions. His father visits him while he's in prison and reveals him that he's a wolf man too, and he was who killed his mother and brother.
He swears revenge and wants to kill his father. He's taken into a court of scholars and they try to demonstrate that he wouldn't turn into a beast on that night, when the full moon would come out. Lawrence tries to warn them that he would kill them all. As said, when the full moon came out, he transformed into the wolf man, killing everyone and escaped from his imprisonment.
Meanwhile, Gwen meets with Maleva (a Gypsy) where she tries to find a way to lift Lawrence's curse. Both, Lawrence and Gwen revealed their feelings for each other recently and that's her motivation to help and save him from his curse.
Inspector Francis Aberline (Hugo Weaving) follows him and tries to hunt him down, but he escapes. Lawrence arrives at his father's house, who is already waiting for him. Both turn into wolf men and start fighting each other to death. Lawrence kills his father ripping his head off. Gwen runs into the forest, only to be chased down by Lawrence, the Wolfman.
Just as Lawrence is about to attack, she pleads for him to stop, bringing out the slightest of human emotions left in him. But when he hears the nearby mob, he violently panics, losing his restraint. Gwen then shoots Lawrence with a silver bullet and kills him. Before he dies he turns back into a human and spends his last moments with Gwen. The mob arrive and they see Aberline injured, being attacked by the Wolfman just before he's killed. Gwen's parting words are heard as Talbot Manor appears in flames and a wolf's howl is heard, presumably from Aberline.
The Wolfman was an extremely entertaining film, a little bit scary, remaking an amazing plot and the best of all, supported by such a unique and extremely professional cast. Totally recommended!
What did I like from this movie?
1. The sound was more than espectacular! Especially on those scary moments and scenes when the Wolfman attacked his victims
2. The cast was simply amazing
3. Director Joe Johnson made such an amazing work. I'll give even more credits after watching the original film and compare both movies
4. The CGI effects, simply amazing
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. I believe that something was missing or not delivered by Director Joe Johnson and Benicio Del Toro. I believe that Lawrence Talbot should have tried to deliver more emotions and drama about his affliction and pain due to his situation and curse. It didn't affect the overall quality. Other than that... it was such an amazing film
I would rate this movie with a 4/5

This re-make of Joseph Ruben’s 1987 suspense film was not as good as the original one, but it was totally entertaining though. The plot was pretty simple and showing some holes or gaps, but I must say that everyone involved in this film played their roles greatly and it actually made the difference. There were lots of action-suspense moments throughout the film that will keep you entertained. Most of the critics and reviews have merged in two important details: The plot wasn't strong enough, with so many loosed knots and with a very predictable end. I totally agree with their critics to the plot, but I think that the very last scene at the end of the film was totally unexpected, no matter how predictable was the hole ending fight and situation with the family.
If you're looking for an entertaining mild suspense-thriller film to watch on a quiet weekend night, you can rely on this one as one of your options.
What did I like from this movie?
1. I enjoyed the way the cast played their roles, it helped the simple plot to be more enjoyable that it actually was
2. Yes, Sela Ward is one of those few "beautiful and elegant" women I really like from Hollywood

Synopsis: When five sorority girls inadvertently cause the murder of one of their sisters in a prank gone wrong, they agree to keep the matter to themselves and never speak of it again, so they can get on with their lives. This proves easier said than done, when after graduation a mysterious killer goes after the five of them and anyone who knows their secret.

What it is supposed to be a horror film, turns into something remotely scary. I laughed at some of the key moments of this film, especially at the end. Even though Sorority Row was considered a possible great pop-corn Summer/Fall thriller, it was far from it. The script was bad, nonsense, not scary at all, supported by a cast that was more interested in selling a dumb, plastic image of a bunch of college girls jumping around in their underwear, throwing crazy parties, rude tricks and hiding secrets like they were a dark secret organization. The saddest of all was watching the once beautiful Princess Leia, Carrie Fisher, playing the role of the house mother of the Theta Pi Fraternity.
The film is about a group of girls who plan to play a trick to one of the girl's brother. The trick? They hooked him up to one of the girls, and while they were kissing in a room (being filmed by a video cam), the girl starts convulsing and dies (supposedly). Everything went well until the moment they get to a lonely place and the guy stucks a tire iron in girl's chest. They drop the dead body in a hole and decide to keep the incident as a secret. Few months later, the girls receive a text message with the tire iron used the night the girl died and from this moment on... lots (and I mean lots!) of people start dying. Some of the people killed have nothing to do with the event, some of the people involved in the event the night the girl was killed survived. The script tries to keep some options for your imagination, trying to guess who's the person killing all those involved in that incident, but at the end, it reveals the responsible... someone who has NOTHING to do with the situation. The end couldn't be more surreal: A house burning, several girls screaming their lungs out, machine gun shots everywhere, a house, hot tub and garden in a complete mess after a crazy loud party... and the police and fire department arrives years later?! Besides that, the surviving girls leave the house walking like they were in a beauty parade. I couldn't laugh louder. I could recommend this one for a boring afternoon at home, but honestly, I can't do that to my followers and friends.
What did I like from this movie?
1. I enjoyed the film laughing to all the plastic and dumb situations offered in this film
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Sad watching Carrie Fisher in this dumb scary college girls film
2. Poor plot and boring cast
3. Horrible end

Synopsis: Reluctant hero and video-store clerk, Stan Helsing, has to save a town from the six biggest monsters in cinema history on Halloween night.

I'm a fan of the Scary Movie franchise, I've watched and enjoyed them all. Following the Scary Movie tradition (produced by the same people), Stan Helsing offers a parody with some of the most famous horror characters in Hollywood. The only problem? It is SO bad that it actually scares you! The plot is empty, ridiculously shallow, boring and nonsense, supported by (what I consider) a cast with no talent at all. I'm still amazed to see Leslie Nielsen in this movie... playing a role of a cross-dressed old man! When did he lose his great comedy moments and fell into such low level! Anyway, my recommendation? Don't even waste your time trying to watch it.

Synopsis: While trying to shed some light on the mystery surrounding a bizarre psychiatric institute, persistent investigative journalist Deborah Fielding falls headlong into a twisted, mind-altering world of lies, deceit, and unimaginable terror. Viewers won’t be able to brace themselves for the shocking secrets unlocked in this twisted horror show.
Starring: Lance Henriksen, Danny Trejo, Greg Collins

One of the worst and most boring movies I've watched in a while. Necessary Evil starts with a team of mercenaries that capture a supernatural creature in a tomb in the middle east. After affecting one of the team members, Dr. Fibrian, the leader of this project discovers through some experiments on Frank Sanders, the member attacked by this creature, a rejuvenating power on this creature's blood.
Several years later, this plot moves into Deborah Fielding's life, a journalism student who's pregnant and has been part of some cruel medical tests led by Dr. Fibrian (We never know how they got to this point in the plot).
Deborah starts taking a new drug for a medical condition (due to these medical tests) and through a research, she discovers more information not just about the drug, but the hospital, Dr. Fibrian and all the abuses exposed in this psychiatric hospital.
In the middle of the plot, we discovers that Deborah seems to be better and more expert than any super spy, with so many professional skills, never explained how she got them.
Anyway, a very confusing plot due to all the many mysteries and details never revealed or explained that makes the plot not just difficult to follow, but extremely boring and poorly directed.
What did I like from this movie?

Synopsis: Searching for his missing sister, Clay Miller heads up to the eerie woods of legendary Crystal Lake, where he stumbles on the creaky remains of rotting old cabins behind moss-covered trees. And that's not the only thing lying in wait under the brush. Against the advice of police and cautions from the locals, Clay pursues what few leads he has in the search for his missing sister, Whitney, with the help of Jenna, a young woman he meets among a group of college kids up for an all-thrills weekend. But they are all about to find much more than they bargained for. Little do they know, they've entered the domain of one of the most terrifying specters in American film history -- the infamous killer who haunts Crystal Lake, armed with a razor-sharp machete... Jason Voorhees.
Starring: Julianna Guill, America Olivo, Jared Padalecki, Amanda Righetti, Danielle Panabaker
Directed by: Marcus Nispel
U.S. Rating: R
The latest remake of this famous and classic movie horror franchise. Friday the 13th brings new deathly situations in Crystal Lake, great effects and scary scenes, by the hand of one of the creepiest film horror creatures... Jason Voorhees. One of the "must see" films for a Halloween weekend. On this new remake, I was a bit confused during the first part of the movie, since I believed the 5 people camping in Crystal Lake would be the main characters involved in this plot, but they were just part of it, but then they tied the rest of the story when they place in the story a new group of people (plus a single guy looking for his missing sister who was among the first group). A plain and basic plot about survival, since the whole point of it is watching Jason killing everyone... one by one... without saying a single word.
What did I like from this movie?
1. There were some really good effects
2. A funny moment, when the Asian guy is playing with the hockey stick, he meets Jason and tries to give him the stick saying that it would complete his outfit
3. The very last scene, totally unexpected! (really?!)
4. Jason's appearance, really creepy!
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. A very predictable plot, even though, it was entertaining
2. I believe that Jason's role is the easiest one ever! He doesn't say a single word in this film, just running and killing people with his machete!
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

Synopsis: It's been nearly a year since volatile detective Ben Carson was suspended from the NYPD for fatally shooting another undercover officer, an accident that not only cost him his job, but fueled the alcoholism and anger that has alienated his wife and kids and left him crashing on his sister's couch in Queens. Desperate to pull his life together, Carson takes a job as a night watchman at the burned-out ruins of the Mayflower department store, which was destroyed by a massive fire that devoured numerous innocent lives. As Carson patrols the eerie, charred remains of the store, he begins to notice something sinister about the ornate mirrors that adorn the Mayflower walls. Reflected in the gigantic shimmering glass are horrific images that stun Carson. Beyond projecting gruesome images of the past, the mirrors appear to be manipulating reality as well. When Carson sees his own reflection being tortured, he suffers the physical effects of his fractured visions. His sympathetic but skeptical sister Angela dismisses these bizarre 'nightmares' as a consequence of his stress and guilt over the accidental shooting, but Carson's estranged wife Amy, a no-nonsense NYPD medical 2 examiner, is less forgiving. Her husband's increasingly erratic behavior frightens her, pushing his family farther away--and, she fears, it's putting their children in danger. As Carson investigates the mysterious disappearance of a Mayflower security guard and its possible connection to his ghastly visions, he realizes that a malevolent, otherworldly force is using reflections as a gateway to terrorize him and his family. Carson must somehow uncover the truth behind the mirrors--and convince Amy to help him battle the greatest evil he has ever faced.

Creepy and amazing horror movie to start a Halloween night! Kiefer Sutherland brings a horror thriller loaded with crazy, weird and scary situations. A NYPD detective who was suspended after an accident is forced to find a job to put himself together and regain the confidence of all those ones who care and love him. He starts working as a night guard for the burned and ruined Mayflower department store. The store has been in ruins due to legal discussions with the insurance company, and even though, there's nothing valuable to save, the owners want to have a night guard to custody and patrol their installations every night. As soon as he starts, he begins to see and experience weird situations through the mirrors placed and displayed in every single room and hall of this massive building. After facing a vivid experience through an image reflection of himself being on fire and getting a mysterious package from the previous night guard with some information related with the fire that destroyed this department store, he starts a personal investigation about the previous incidents on this building and the visions and events he's faced at nights. The deeper he goes on his investigation, the more dangerous and threatening it gets. He discovers that under the department store, was built an old psychiatric hospital that treated some patients with a unique technique, putting them in a room surrounded of mirrors, so they could see themselves, their condition and appearance. When he finds all this information, he discovers that his family might be in serious danger and decides to take action, trying to end all this crazy deaths. A really good and scary plot with a very, very unexpected end. Totally recommended.

I would rate this movie with a 3/5

A movie worth to watch. It was the perfect combination for this Halloween season. It brought zombies and bloody crazy scenes mixed with some hilarious scenes and situations. Ruben Fleischer was able to make this film so easy and enjoyable to watch, no matter if you hate zombies and bloody images. Bill Murray appearance made this movie so worth to watch, simply hilarious! Woody Harrelson, as usual, bringing some unique and funny weirdness to his role.

Freaky and scary! Gin Gwai is simply the original version of the movie "The Eye" played by Jessica Alba. I believe that Hollywood has to learn so much about horror movies from the japanese horror writers. Movies like Ringu (The Ring) and Gin Gwai (The Eye) are so much better and scarier than the american remakes. The plot is essentially the same of the remake, nothing changes. The girl that has been blind for over 17 years and gets a corneal transplant. After this corneal transplant, she starts getting visions and she's capable to see dead people around her. When she looks for some answers and more information about her eyes' donour, she discovers that she might be the key element to save other people from a tragic death. As I said, a really scary but really entertaining movie. Worth to watch if you ever want to watch a good foreign horror movie.
What did I like from this movie?
1. The scene at the hospital, when she starts getting visions of the people who have died recently there
2. The scene when she's drawing at the table and she sees the lady in the corner and suddenly she jumps in front of her screaming that she's in her seat
3. All the process to identify the situations and future accident
4. The kid with the hat that is always in the hall when she gets to her apartment
5. The old man that is standing in the corner of the elevator facing the wall, and then he starts turning slowly towards her floating in the air
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Nothing... I really enjoyed the plot

Before long she drifts off to sleep and wakes to find everyone gone. She momentarily panics until another train pulls in. She boards, unnerved that she's the only passenger, but relieved at last to be on her way. Halfway through the tunnel the train jerks to a violent halt. The lights shut off and the train is plunged into darkness. Kate screams, she is trapped, in the dark--and she is not alone. Her nightmare has only just begun.

I decided to read some previous reviews about Creep before spending 90 minutes of my time watching this film. We borrowed the movie from some friends who recommended us the film so, with this recommendation and the reviews I read, I thought we could enjoy a nice scary British horror film. Honestly, it is one of the worst horror films I've seen in years. It is all about blood, screaming, running, spending 5 minutes in a poop tank with another random guy and kill the bad guy just seconds before the doors are opened for the first train of the morning. I noticed that many people have enjoyed this horror film, I should ask them what's the catch in it, since I didn't get it.
What did I like from this movie?
1. When the girl finally kills the weirdo and lays on the floor at the underground terminal and the guy in the blue suit gets close to her and drops some coins right next to her thinking that she's a homeless
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. So many fake screaming scenes
2. The girl goes through one of the most traumatic situations in life, and she just lays in the floor like nothing happens, and she even laughs when the guy drops the coins on the floor
3. It didn't need too much effort for the actors in this movie. Most of them had only like 2 or 3 conversation lines before they were killed
I would rate this movie with a 1/5

Synopsis: Laura spent the happiest years of her childhood growing up in an orphanage by the seaside, cared for by the staff and fellow orphans whom she loved as brothers and sisters. Now, thirty years later, she returns with her husband Carlos and Simon, their 7-year-old son, with a dream of restoring and reopening the long abandoned orphanage as a home for disabled children. The new home and mysterious surroundings awaken Simon's imagination and the boy starts to spin a web of fantastic tales and not-so-innocent games. As the opening day draws near, tension builds within the family. Carlos remains skeptical, believing that Simon is making everything up in a desperate bid for attention. But Laura slowly becomes convinced that something long-hidden and terrible is lurking in the old house, something waiting to emerge and inflict appalling damage on her family.

Creepy movie! Such an amazing horror movie! I really enjoyed this movie. I'm not a big fan of horror movies, but there are some really good ones that have been added to my favorite list. This has become one of them. The Orphanage (El Orfanato) is a Spanish movie about Laura, a woman who decided to buy the old house that hosted the orphanage where she lived when she was a little girl, and turn it as another orphanage or house for kids with especial needs. Laura and Carlos, her husband, have adopted Simón, a little kid with Aids who says that he's been playing with some "imaginary" friends. Laura and Carlos try to avoid the situation, thinking that it might be a normal stage on every kid's imagination, but soon she'll find out that what Simón said about his "imaginary" friends might be true, after facing the stressful situation of losing Simón after a short discussion with him about his "imaginary" friends, stories and games. When she sees Tomás, the little kid with the mask that Simón drew in a piece of paper, she believes that Simón is not dead and he might have been taken away. The search starts and she won't finish until she finds the truth about Simón's disappearance. Great end! Sad, but great end. I personally didn't know that Guillermo Del Toro would lead a horror movie like this one, since I see him more like a HellBoy, Blade, etc.
What did I like from this movie?
1. Even though The Orphanage is a horror movie, it's an old-fashioned horror movie. Really enjoyable, no "demonic", but more like really creepy ghost situations
2. Tomás, the little boy with the mask, really creepy!
3. I really enjoyed the creepy, scary scene when she's playing 1-2-3 trying to make the kids to come out of their hidden places
4. The old nun, so scary! Especially when she's hidden in the old little storage house
5. I really enjoyed that being a horror movie, it doesn't cross the line of the "evil" line that other horror movies cross
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. The end was kind of sad, even though, it was good for Laura, since it made her happy
I would rate this movie with a 4/5

Amusement. I'd define this movie with a simple word: Weird. When I watched this movie, I honestly thought it wasn't a traditional movie, but a series of short individual scary chapters no related at all. The structure of this plot was kind of interesting. The plot starts with three individual situations and incidents. After these three individual episodes, the next stage on this movie starts on a interview room, where the person involved in the third episode is being interviewed about the incident and tragedy she lived. That's the moment when she finds out that the person who tried to kill her is an old school friend with some eccentric/morbid ideas and sense of humor. She goes back in her mind to the moment when she and her friends, the ones involved in the other individual episodes, were together at their school and the crazy little boy that tried to amuse them with a dead rat in a box was the same one that not just killed some people, but tried to kill her too. A horror movie that I could say, offer a few scary/entertaining moments.
What did I like from this movie?
1. I like the plot structure. The plot and story was kind of boring, but the structure (starting with three individual episodes, going back in time, and coming back to present
2. I totally loved the t-shirt/vest used b the girls at the end of the movie, the ones with the chest open, like an autopsy... when the crazy guy kept them tied in front of the glass walls
3. The scenes with the dolls and the clown was kind of scary and entertaining
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. It was weird to watch Keir O'Donnell in a role like this one. After watching him in some really cool and funny comedy movies, it was weird to watch him in a key role in a horror movie, playing the character of a crazy weirdo
I would rate this movie with a 2/5

Synopsis: Born in the flames of hell and brought to earth to perpetrate evil, Hellboy was rescued from sinister forces by the benevolent Professor Bruttenholm, who raised him to be a hero. Hellboy is the funny tough grumpy superhero that not just kicks some butts but also shows a soft side that makes him fall in love with the girl of his dreams and be kind to the people that deserves it. An interesting and very entertaining plot with a pretty good cast. Hellboy, the bad boy of the secret Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense (B.P.R.D.) lives with the dilemma of trying to live and interact with humans, since the love of his life is a human woman. For this reason, he's been filing his horns down to nubs to "blend in" with humans. This love makes him to lose his perspective and get jealous of the newbie FBI assigned to work with all the members of the B.P.R.D. team and capture Rasputin and his team. An extravagant action/sci-fi movie with an entertaining plot and excellent characters. Totally recommended.
What did I like from this movie?
1. My favorite character in this movie is Abe Sapien, besides Hellboy. I really enjoyed this character and his role in this movie
2. I really enjoyed Hellboy's grumpy sense of humor, such a different hero character
3. The Nazi ninja surgery addict with the clockwork heart, scary and weird!
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. I think some people could consider this movie a "either love it or hate it", so it narrows the options for people to try to watch it, since they believe they won't like it
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

I'm such a fan of the three previous movies, especially the second and third one. On these previous movies, everyone of them were attached to the first experience or movie, when they faced a similar situation and they got the complete information about how things happened and all the effects related with this situation, for example, the sequence of deaths, the things that would happen (showed in pictures, etc). The daily, usual activities that killed all these people in these previous movies gave its own trademark. Maybe I was expecting something different in this new sequel, especially because the name and trailer try to sell the idea that this new sequel will be "different" from the previous ones, it will be "The" Final Destination, that they will be able to break the death process. Well, I was totally wrong. It was just more of the same shown in the previous three movies, with just a big difference. It was way more predictable than the previous ones. Besides that, the cast wasn't able to offer the emotion and suspense, sense of horror that I was able to feel in the previous movies. Really cheap acting performance in some important scenes and moment through the movie, but well, I could at least say that I enjoyed it, it was good watching it at the movie theater though.
What did I like from this movie?
1. That it was filmed in 3D
2. The effects shown in some scenes were really good, especially when they were shown in 3D
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. The cheap acting performance from most of the cast involved in this movie. For example, the moment when the security guard is trying to kill himself. When the guys find him in his room trying to die hung but the rope breaks and he falls in the floor and gets up and starts talking, walking and doing things like nothing happened... not even a single cough or feeling like chocking!
2. The guy that dies in the pool, his role sucked. The bad guy that doesn't care about anything, just like a similar guy in the second movie, the one that dies in the field cut by the wires. In this movie, this guy was "too much" obvious that was acting more than playing a role
3. The situations involved in every single death were a bit more exaggerated than any of the previous movies. In the previous three movies, every situation that led to every death looked like spontaneous mistakes and situations that provoked those deaths. In this movie, every situation looked like they were manipulated for an invisible person who managed every single mistake (real or not) to provoke these deaths
I would rate this movie with a 3/5
