Synopsis: Two college students discover a strange circus tent which servces as a breeding ground for "killer clowns" who terrorize a small town.

Starring: Grant Cramer, Suzanne Snyder, John Allen Nelson, Royal Dano, John Vernon
Directed by: Stephen Chiodo
U.S. Rating: PG-13
An army of sadistic extraterrestrial life forms (who resemble clowns) land their circus tent ship in the sleepy American town of Crescent Cove (filmed in Watsonville/Santa Cruz, California). Mike Tobacco (Cramer) and Debbie Stone (Snyder), a couple out for the romantic evening, spot the newcomers and, thinking the ship was a shooting star, decide to investigate. They soon encounter the Klowns and barely escape capture, while the remaining teenagers are quickly killed by the aliens. Mike and Debbie rush into town to warn others of the impending danger while the Klowns follow them into town.
Naturally, they first try to warn the police. Sgt. Mooney, the police sergeant, is convinced that the two are nothing more than kids trying to pull a prank. They are viewed with equal skepticism by another police officer, Dave Hanson (John Allen Nelson), Debbie's ex-boyfriend.
Meanwhile, the Klown Army marches into Crescent Cove, inflicting a massive genocide during their occupation. They harvest the unsuspecting population, blasting random victims with a ray gun that cocoons them with cotton candy like substance, with lethal results. The Klown Army uses a variety of seemingly innocent methods to ensnare their victims, such as killer shadow puppets, bloodhound-like balloon animals, and a ray gun that looks like a child's toy. Since the methods themselves appear whimsical, the townspeople don't realize they are in danger until it's too late.
Hanson is taken to the hills, where he sees the hole in the ground. Thinking Mike a liar Hanson places him under arrest. Hanson only starts to believe that something is going on when he discovers Bob McReed's broken glasses. Meanwhile, Mooney also discovers the truth when one of the Klowns appears at the police station, although he thinks it all an elaborate hoax till it is too late.
When Officer Hanson sees a Klown use a Tyrannosaurus rex shadow puppet to capture a group of townspeople waiting for a bus, he is finally convinced of the danger, and offers to help Mike and Debbie (who have also recruited the Terenzi brothers, a pair of local goof-offs who drive an ice cream truck). Hanson later arrives at the police station and discovers Mooney dead and being used as a puppet by the Klown that slew him. A horrified Hanson shoots the Klown several times with no effect until he shoots the Klown's nose; at that point, the Klown dramatically spins around until it eventually explodes, becoming the first Klown to be killed by a human.
While the town is being slaughtered, Debbie is attacked twice and taken away by the Klowns in a balloon.
Debbie is taken back to the Klowns' "Big Top" circus tent-spaceship. Mike, Officer Hanson, and the Terenzi brothers pursue them. It is there that they discover why the Klown Army has been capturing people. By cocooning them inside their cotton candy, the Klowns gelatinize the humans' bodies into a liquid that is digestible. Vast numbers of victims (a majority of the town's population) are being stored aboard Big Top. The Klowns insert a crazy straw into Mayor of the Crescent Cove inside the cotton candy, sucking the deceased Mayor's gelatinized body.
Debbie is eventually freed, and the Terenzi Brothers' ice cream truck is crashed into their spaceship. Mike, Debbie, and Officer Hanson run to the truck, but it won't start. JoJo, a 30 ft. tall Klown and leader of the Klown Army, emerges for the film's climax. Mike, Debbie, and Hanson all run, but Rich and Paul stay in the truck "because it's a rental." JoJo seemingly kills Rich and Paul. A showdown between Hanson and Klown Emperor ensues, while Mike and Debbie are told to escape. Hanson is caught by the Klown's clutches. The Klown brings Hanson to his face and in turn is destroyed by Hanson who uses his police badge to penetrate the Klown's nose. It and the alien's spaceship explode. Despite everything, the heroes and the Terenzis survive with only minor injuries. Debbie then asks if its over and pies fly down and hit them both in the face to the sound of the clowns laughter.

WOW! is about all I can say for this movie. If you can appreciate super corny "horror" films then this one is a must see. Some movies are SO bad they're good and this one is one of those. The Killer Klowns from outer space were everything you'd think they would be for a low budget 1988 film. They kept their victims in giant cocoon eggs made out of cotton candy, had a dog made out of balloons that chased victims, used popcorn to shoot at people, and captured townspeople with a T-Rex shadow puppet! This movie had bad acting and not much better of a plot line, but like I said before, if you love these movies for a good laugh at how truly horrible some movie making can be then it is worth the watch. Otherwise, don't waste your time. It isn't worth the watch if you are looking for a real horror film - only for a few laughs.
I would rate this movie with a 2/5

Synopsis: Dave Lizewski, a comic-book fanboy, decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name -- Kick-Ass -- assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There's only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers. His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes, including an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl and her father, Big Daddy.

Starring: Aaron Johnson, Christopher Mintz-Plasse, Mark Strong, Chloe Grace Moretz, Nicolas Cage
Directed by: Matthew Vaughn
U.S. Rating: R
I should start saying that I was expecting more from this film, even though, it was pretty good and entertaining.
With such an amazing cast, an original script and story, this "bloody", bizarre and clever film will really entertain you.
The film is about Dave Lizewski, an ordinary high school student who lives with his dad and loves comic-books. He asks himself why noone has tried to be a superhero and decides to buy a custom and a mask, which keeps under his daily cloths (just like Superman or Spider-Man), just waiting for the opportunity to fight crime. When he finds the first chance, the bad guys bit the crap out of him! (really funny!). He doesn't stop and decides to keep fighting crime and by a mobile video taken during one of his "crime fighting moments" he becomes quickly in a huge internet media icon. On the other hand, Damon Macready/Big Daddy (Nicholas Cage) and his little daughter Mindy/Hit Girl are also superheroes who fight crime, and especially, a powerful organization, with real guns and extreme violence. Damon took this undercover superhero role to revenge the death of his wife. When Frank D'amico (the lider of this powerful organization) and Damon & his daughter find "Kick-Ass", they decide to use him to get to each other and either kill these superheroes, or revenge a wife's death.
A pretty good and entertaining film, with some good action and comedy scenes. So recommended if you're into a crazy, bizarre film loaded with good fights, guns, and some good bloody, crazy and funny scenes.
What did I like from this movie?
1. Chloe Grace Moretz. This little girl played the best role performance in this film. She was funny, smart, bold and perfectly mature for the role she had to perform
2. Nicholas Cage looked pretty funny in a custom!
3. There were some pretty funny scenes and some other good action moments
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Nicholas Cage sucked big time on the scene where he's in pain and talking with his daughter before he dies
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

Synopsis: When a husband and wife witness a shakedown, they discover that the Witness Protection Program is no match for a pair of ruthless killers who want them dead.

Starring: Diane Lane, Mickey Rourke, Michelle Arvizu, Richard Zeppieri, Hal Holbrook, Joseph Gordon-Levitt
Directed by: John Madden
U.S. Rating: PG-13
Killshot is such an interesting thriller plot with a very unique and talented cast. Mickey Rourke plays the role of a contract killer, Joseph Gordon-Levitt plays a complete different role for what we've been used to see him play... the nice romantic guy. This time, he plays the role of a very irresponsible and violent non-educated delinquent who has found in Mickey a tutor. Diane Lane plays the role of the real state agent who's been dealing with a difficult marriage relationship with Thomas Jane. When Mickey and Joseph confuse Thomas with Diane's boss, the owner of the real state company, she gets in trouble for being able to identify Mickey as the responsible of the assault. They immediately start being chased by these two delinquents and they need to be kept protected under the Witness Protection Program. Mickey and Joseph find the way to get the place where they've been relocated and they start the journey to complete their work. Will they be able to do it? Well, they're not that lucky, when Diane and her husband take the law on their own hands. A really interesting and entertaining action/thriller. Totally recommended for a good movie night at home.
What did I like from this movie?
1. I really enjoyed the different role played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt. After watching him in most of his movies as the good romantic guy, watching him playing the role of a crazy irresponsible and violent delinquent, I found it pretty interesting!
2. The moment when Joseph breaks into the empty house, really funny!
3. The whole situation when Mikey and Joseph arrive to the real state offices and they get bit up by Diane's husband
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. There were few slow moments that made the film a little boring
I would rate this movie with a 3/5
