Synopsis: Three models of modest means rent an expensive Manhattan penthouse apartment and pose as women of wealth as part of an elaborate scheme to snare rich husbands.

Starring: Marilyn Monroe, Percy Helton, Betty Grable, Lauren Bacall, William Powell, David Wayne
Directed by: Jean Negulesco
U.S. Rating: Not Rated
"How To Marry A Millionaire" is a typical 20th Century Fox comedy blockbuster of the 1950's. This movie is the very definition of a big, brassy and over-the-top Hollywood of days gone by, and it's all the more fabulous for it. The three leading ladies are wonderful - each providing something different from the other and all of them truly accomplished and talented comedy actresses.
Marilyn Monroe, for my money, steals the show hands down. She is absoloutley adorable in the film and she looks at her most beautiful, too. Many other beautiful women have drifted in and out of film over the years, but in "How To Marry A Millionaire" it should be obvious to anyone that Monroe is the most beautiful of them all, period. She is also puts in the kind of perfected comedy performance nobody else can. Betty Grable is wonderful, and just as hillarious and beautiful. Lauren Bacall leads the way and is pretty much flawless in her portrayal of the money-hunting ladies ring leader. The cinemaphotography is pure 1950's Hollywood and it looks pretty stunning, it has to be said. This was one of the first movies to use 20th Century Fox's Cinemascope format, which was baisically a 1950's version of today's Widescreen technique. With that there are a lack of close-up's. This is something nearly all other Cinemascope pictures fall victim to.
"How To Marry A Millionaire" is a very entertaining movie and a must see for fans of Monroe, Grable or Bacall. The script, although dated in places, holds up pretty well and even provides a rather poignant take on Sexual Politics in places. a true Hollywood gem that remains as sparkly and fabulous as it must have been almost 60 years ago.
I would rate this movie with a 4/5

Synopsis: Mallory Kane is a highly trained operative who works for a government security contractor in the dirtiest, most dangerous corners of the world. After successfully freeing a Chinese journalist held hostage, she is double crossed and left for dead by someone close to her in her own agency. Suddenly the target of skilled assassins who know her every move, Mallory must find the truth in order to stay alive. Using her black-ops military training, she devises an ingenious - and dangerous - trap. But when things go haywire, Mallory realizes she'll be killed in the blink of an eye unless she finds a way to turn the tables on her ruthless adversary.

Starring: Gina Carano, Antonio Banderas, Michael Douglas, Ewan McGregor, Channing Tatum, Bill Paxton, Michael Fassbender, Michael Angarano
Directed by: Steven Soderbergh

The first time I saw the official trailer for Haywire, I had mixed thoughts. First, I believed it looked like a pretty good action film but, in the other way, I didn't think it could be that good having the lead role perfomed by someone that is not an actress, but a mixed Martial Arts champ and former American Gladiator, Gina Carano. The cast looked pretty impressive, having Antonio Banderas, Michael Douglas, Ewan McGregor, Channing Tatum, Michael Fassbender and Michael Angarano, among others, but I was convinced Gina wouldn't deliver the acting performance expected for a thriller like this one, directed by one of my favorite directors.
My fears inmediately disappeared after watching the first scene. I mean, she wasn't Meryl Streep! Right? Or at least at the same acting performance level Angelina Jolie delivered in Salt, but at least, I can say that it was entertaining and far from being a cheap acting performance. I think that Steven Soderbergh knew it and did a great job on his direction and most important, the supporting cast helped the film to be really enjoyable.
One thing I must say, even though, the plot didn't leave any open door leading the idea of a future sequel, I would ask director Steven Soderbergh to leave Mallory Kane, her special skills, training and secret works end with this film. I believe it wasn't a strong film to lead a future sequel. Salt was an amazing plot that was actually prepared to have a future sequel, performed by a lead role with a fantastic acting performance experience in action roles also.
In case you're planning to watch the film and want to know more about it, here's the plot:
The film starts when Mallory Kane enters a diner in Upstate New York, sits and just waits. Few minutes later, Aaron arrives and joins her. After a short conversation about their employer, Aaron orders Mallory to get in his car. She refuses, and they fight, with Aaron nearly capturing Mallory before the intervention of Scott, a customer in the diner, allows Mallory to break Aaron's arm, knock him unconscious, and escape with Scott in Scott's car.
Mallory tells Scott that both she and Aaron are contractors with a private firm that is employed by the American government for covert operation assignments. One week before, at a meeting among government agent Coblenz, his contact, Rodrigo, and the firm's director (and Mallory's ex-boyfriend) Kenneth, the firm was hired to rescue Jiang, who is being held in Barcelona. Mallory and her team, which includes Aaron, succeed in rescuing Jiang and delivering him to Rodrigo.
Shortly thereafter, Mallory is approached by Kenneth, who insists she undertake what he claims is an easy assignment: pose as the wife of British agent Paul during a mission in Dublin. Mallory agrees and accompanies Paul to a party at Russborough House, where they meet with his contact, Studer (Mathieu Kassovitz). Paul meets with Studer again as Mallory watches from afar. She sees Paul go into a barn, and after he leaves she enters it to find Jiang dead, clutching in his hand a brooch which Kenneth required her to wear as a recognition signal for her initial contact with Paul.
Mallory realizes she has been set up and returns to her hotel room, where she is attacked by Paul. They fight, Mallory gets the upper hand and shoots Paul dead. Mallory calls Kenneth from Paul's phone. As Kenneth picks up the phone, he asks "is the divorce final?" Mallory doesn't answer, and Kenneth realizes that Mallory is still alive and now knows about the set-up. As Mallory leaves her hotel, a SWAT team appears to arrest her but she escapes after a chase, and manages to enter the United States and reach the diner, where she meets Scott.
Mallory calls Coblenz who tells her that he has had suspicions about Kenneth for some time. Coblenz then contacts Kenneth and tells him to inform Mallory's father, John Kane (who already knows of his daughter's occupation), of her crimes. Meanwhile, on the road, Mallory and Scott are chased by the police and hit a tree after a deer runs into Scott's car. They are both arrested, but soon the convoy is ambushed by assassins sent by Kenneth. Mallory escapes, kills the assassins, and releases Scott. She gives him a number to call for protection and leaves to meet with her father.
Mallory reaches her father's house in New Mexico before Kenneth, Aaron, and two additional men arrive to interrogate John on his daughter's whereabouts. Aaron starts to realize that Mallory might have been set up and tries to press Kenneth for the truth, but Kenneth kills Aaron as Mallory takes out Kenneth's men.
Mallory chases Kenneth, but he escapes. The following day Mallory meets with Coblenz, who reveals that he ordered Kenneth to contact Mallory's father so she could kill him there. Mallory asks Coblenz to fix things with Scott, which he promises to do. Coblens also informs Mallory of Kenneth's location. Before Mallory leaves, Coblenz offers her a government job but she replies only that she'll let him know, after she finds Kenneth.
In Mexico, Mallory confronts Kenneth at the beach and they fight. Kenneth tries to escape, but gets his foot jammed between two rocks. Kenneth reveals that Jiang was a journalist who had written a series of articles exposing Studer's crimes. Knowing that Mallory planned to leave his firm, Kenneth arranged for her to rescue Jiang and deliver him to Rodrigo, who then delivered him to Studer, who killed him. Kenneth then framed Mallory, planning to cut all ties that could lead to him by convincing Paul that Mallory was a double agent whom he should kill. Mallory leaves Kenneth to drown in the incoming tide for his betrayal.
Rodrigo is enjoying his "retirement" in Majorca. After his female companion is called away, Mallory descends onto the balcony behind him. When Rodrigo sees Mallory, his response is simply, "Shit", and the film ends.
I would rate this movie with a 2.5/5

Synopsis: For Nick, Kurt and Dale, the only thing that would make the daily grind more tolerable would be to grind their intolerable bosses into dust. Quitting is not an option, so, with the benefit of a few-too-many drinks and some dubious advice from a hustling ex-con, the three friends devise a convoluted and seemingly foolproof plan to rid themselves of their respective employers...permanently. There's only one problem: even the best laid plans are only as foolproof as the brains behind them.

Starring: Jennifer Aniston, Jason Bateman, Charlie Day, Jason Sudeikis, Colin Farrell, Jamie Foxx, Kevin Spacey, Donald Sutherland
Directed by: Seth Gordon
U.S. Rating: R
While I was expecting for The Hangover II to be my top favorite comedy of the year, Horrible Bosses has become so far my favorite comedy film this year, so far.
Director Seth Gordon has a short list of films under his arm, half of them documentaries, we must admit that he knew how to match a lousy script with such an amazing cast and get the most out of this equation. The plot rounds around the story of three close friends and their daily life at work, dealing with their horrible bosses. Nick has been working hard for the last eight years for a financial firm, working long hours and giving his best for the promotion he's been looking for, but his dreams and efforts are suddenly destroyed by his boss, Dave Harken, who abuses him emotionally. Dale is a dental assistant whose been dreaming all his life about being a husband. He can't find a job anywhere because he's a registered sex offender. He works for Dr. Julia Harris, who is constantly sexually harassing him, knowing that he won't have other option finding another job. Kurt seems to be the only one who loves his job and his boss, Mr. Jack Pellitt, but when Mr. Pettitt suffers a heart attack and dies, his son Bobby, a cocaine-addicted takes control over the company and becomes his living nightmare.
Being tired of their bosses and difficult work environment, they decide to hire a hitman, someone to get rid of their bosses and make things better and easier at work. They will be instructed by a ex-con who will teach them how to do the job themselves and not be caught. While they're working on some recognition tasks, a serie of events will lead everyone to an unexpected end, happily in a good way for Nick, Dale and Kurt.
As mentioned before, it was not the best and funniest plot I've seen in this year, but it was played by such a unique, hilarious and extremely talented cast. Director Seth Gordon was able to capture the great chemistry found among the three lead roles (Jason Bateman, Charlie Day and Jason Sudeikis). The supporting roles played by Kevin Spacey, Jennifer Aniston and Jamie Foxx brought the extra value to the film, making it such an enjoyable and hilarious film to watch.

Synopsis: In the summer of 2004, Sergeant J.T. Sanborn and Specialist Owen Eldridge of Bravo Company are at the volatile center of the war, part of a small counterforce specifically trained to handle the homemade bombs, or Improvised Explosive Devices (IEDs), that account for more than half of American hostile deaths and have killed thousands of Iraqis. A high-pressure, high-stakes assignment, the job leaves no room for mistakes, as they learn when they lose their team leader on a mission. When Staff Sergeant William James takes over the team, Sanborn and Eldridge are shocked by what seems like his reckless disregard for military protocol and basic safety measures. And yet, in the fog of war, appearances are never reliable for long. Is James really a swaggering cowboy who lives for peak experiences and the moments when the margin of error is zero - or is he a consummate professional who has honed his esoteric craft to high-wire precision? As the fiery chaos of Baghdad swirls around them, the men struggle to understand and contain their new leader long enough for them to make it home. They have only 38 days left in their tour of Iraq, but with each new mission comes another deadly encounter, and as James blurs the line between bravery and bravado, it seems only a matter of time before disaster will strike.

After reading and hearing so many great reviews about this film, I finally had the chance to watch it and get my own opinion of this film, considered one of the best in 2009. I must admit that I was expecting a movie like Black Hawk Down, with an intense theatrical action and drama scenes. Well, it wasn't like that. It actually offered the same message and moral content about the meaning of war, but in a complete different way. This film shows so vividly what it is to be a soldier in a war, especially working in one of the most dangerous tasks in the world, a bomb disposal squad member in Baghdad. Free of political or theatrical content, the film offers a great plot focused on those individuals who risk their lives in war. The film is also amazingly directed by Kathryn Bigelow, a woman directing such a vivid war film?! So interesting.
Being part of the exclusive list and nominations for Best Movie of the Year, I'm sure that The Hurt Locker will claim its place among one of the best war movies in decades. Totally recommended!
What did I like from this movie?
1. It is so real that it could be considered a documentary!
2. Great cast, amazing roles performance
3. The plot and scenes offer not just a great entertainment, but a meaningful message
What did I dislike from this movie?

Synopsis: As his fifth year at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry approaches, 15-year-old Harry Potter is in full-blown adolescence, complete with regular outbursts of rage, a nearly debilitating crush, and the blooming of a powerful sense of rebellion. It's been yet another infuriating and boring summer with the despicable Dursleys, this time with minimal contact from our hero's non-Muggle friends from school. Harry is feeling especially edgy at the lack of news from the magic world, wondering when the freshly revived evil Lord Voldemort will strike. Returning to Hogwarts will be a relief--or will it?

U.S. Rating: R
My personal appreciation, this is one of the best thriller films that I've seen with Bruce Willis. No matter all the mixed reviews you could read or hear about this movie, I personally believe it's a brilliant thriller. I totally enjoyed it when I went to watch it at the movie theaters, and have enjoyed it every single time I've watched it at home. Bruce Willis plays Jeff Tilley, an ex-LAPD hostage negotiator who's been working as a small town sheriff after facing the trauma of losing the hostages in a negotiation process back in LA. Tilley faces a new hostages situation in his small town, when three teenagers decide to break into the house of a rich accountant who works for some powerful illegal organizations. Tilley passes the hostages situation to the FBI, but on his way home, he's approached by a commando group of these illegal organizations and forces him to go back and take control of the negotiation and not let the FBI take control of the situation or they'll kill his family, who has already been kept in a van. Tilley will need to go back, re-gain the negotiation process and recover an important DVD that contains all their financial and sensitive information without being discovered. A great, violent and dark thriller that will keep you attached to your seat until the very last minute of this film. 100% Recommended!
What did I like from this movie?
1. The best scene in this movie was the moment when Tilley leaves after he transfers the hostage situation to the FBI, he stops to buy something and when he gets back to his car, he notices that he's trapped and already approached by these mysterious guys who force him to go back, take control of the situation again and complete their demands or they'd kill his family. Really good scene and drama
2. The fire effects at the last action scene, when Tilley kills the weird teenage and the bad guys trying to kill them and recover the DVD
3. The last scene when he gets in an ambulance to this old house and tries to negotiate/trade his family with the accountant, but ends up killing the leader of this commando team and kidnappers
4. I rally enjoyed the little kid. He played such a great role, even better than many other adults in this movie
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Most of the teenagers in this movie didn't show their talent as actors/actresses. The great performance was focused on Willis and the kid. Even though, the weird pyromaniac teenage was ok
I would rate this movie with a 5/5

Synopsis: Shelley Darlington has lived at the Playboy mansion for the last nine years. She is Hef's favorite and acts like a den mother to the other girls. On her birthday, she is unceremoniously evicted from Hef's pad for 'being too old.' Homeless and without essential skills, Shelley wanders around L.A. until she finds a new job--the housemother at the most unpopular sorority on campus.
Starring: Anna Faris, Katharine McPhee, Emma Stone, Rumer Willis, Kat Dennings
Directed by: Fred Wolf
U.S. Rating: PG-13
A great, simple and silly funny plot about a Playboy Bunny that is forced to leave the Playboy Mansion after 9 years living there. Now she has to figure out life being away from all the luxury and life style in Hef's Mansion. Getting to a college's fraternity house, Shelley starts taking control of the Zeta fraternity, a bunch of nerdy and helpless girls and lead them to believe in themselves and be the most popular girls in college. We couldn't consider this movie as a new classic one, it's far from it, it might even be considered a forgettable comedy, but the point is that Anna Faris plays a great role in this silly and funny plot supported by a good cast, making this movie a really fresh and entertaining film.
What did I like from this movie?
1. I really laughed with the dumb way she remembers people's names, making those weird deep voices when she repeats people's names
2. Anna Faris played a good role as the dumb blond, not very smart, but cool and sweet enough to get everyone's attention and be able to take the right opportunities to solve any situation
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. I believe that the only one that got free attention and publicity was Hugh Hefner!
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

Synopsis: After years of bachelorhood and ample pressure from his father, Doc, and best friend Mac, Eddie Cantrow starts to wonder if he is being too picky about the women he meets. So when a chance encounter with an alluring blonde named Lila leads to a sweet romance, Eddie impulsively proposes. But right after the wedding, as the newlyweds get to know each other on the drive down the California coast, Eddie begins to realize he's made a terrible mistake. Soon after reaching their exotic Mexican hideaway, he falls for the down-to-earth Miranda, who has no clue he's on his honeymoon. Now Eddie has to find a way to extricate himself from his days-old marriage without losing the girl of his dreams.
Starring: Ben Stiller, Michelle Monaghan, Malin Akerman, Carlos Mencia, Rob Corddry
Directed by: Peter Farrelly, Bobby Farrelly
U.S. Rating: R
The Heartbreak Kid, another great movie from the Farrelly Brothers and Ben Stiller! Ben Stiller plays Eddie, the 40-years-old guy that is too scared for commitments, trying to escape from marriage. After being pushed and bothered by his dad and friends, Eddie "thinks" he's met the girl of his dreams, when he meets Lila and starts a sweet romantic relationship. When he decides to take the big step and gets married, he soon finds out that he might have committed a big mistake. During his honeymoon, he discovers that the sweet perfect woman he met, might have turned into a psycho, crazy, weird woman, showing her real personality. He meets Miranda, a sincere and sweet girl that will turn his life into a complete misery, when he knows that he's a newly wed and because of this, he won't be able to date her and know her better.. When he decides to change all the situation and chase the new "girl of his dreams", he might see that it could be too late... until the end of the movie :) A really funny plot with hilarious situations. No matter how many other similar movies like this one we've seen with Ben Stiller, he offers such a great and spontaneous sense of humor that makes every movie unique.
What did I like from this movie?
1. The wedding situation, really funny how he's been located with the kids at the "single's table"
2. Really laughed with Lila during their journey to the hotel for their honeymoon. She's such an annoying girl! I'd kick her out of the car!
3. When they enjoy the sexy night at hotel for their honeymoon, and she turns into such a violent sexual beast! Really laughed at the end of the scene when she's asleep in bed and he's sitting in the chair all traumatized
4. The Mariachi, so funny and annoying!
5. Miranda's cousin is so funny, playing such a "protective" role. Her family is also really funny
6. The whole journey to get Miranda's love and attention brings some really funny situations and scenes
7. The end is hilarious, when Eddie meets Miranda, who has recently got divorced, at the same hotel again and he says he's single, when he's married to this new girl!
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Miranda's new husband looks like a dork! A guy is stalking his new wife and he's there, laying in bed!
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

Synopsis: Born in the flames of hell and brought to earth to perpetrate evil, Hellboy was rescued from sinister forces by the benevolent Professor Bruttenholm, who raised him to be a hero. In Dr. Bruttenholm's secret Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense (B.P.R.D.), Hellboy creates an unlikely family consisting of the telepathic "Mer-Man" Abe Sapien, and "Pyrokenetic" Liz Sherman, the woman he loves who can control fire. Hidden from the very society that they protect, they stand as the key line of defense against an evil madman who seeks to reclaim Hellboy to the dark side and use his powers to destroy mankind.
Starring: Ron Perlman, Selma Blair, John Hurt, Karel Roden, Doug Jones
Directed by: Guillermo del Toro
U.S. Rating: PG-13
Hellboy is the funny tough grumpy superhero that not just kicks some butts but also shows a soft side that makes him fall in love with the girl of his dreams and be kind to the people that deserves it. An interesting and very entertaining plot with a pretty good cast. Hellboy, the bad boy of the secret Bureau of Paranormal Research and Defense (B.P.R.D.) lives with the dilemma of trying to live and interact with humans, since the love of his life is a human woman. For this reason, he's been filing his horns down to nubs to "blend in" with humans. This love makes him to lose his perspective and get jealous of the newbie FBI assigned to work with all the members of the B.P.R.D. team and capture Rasputin and his team. An extravagant action/sci-fi movie with an entertaining plot and excellent characters. Totally recommended.
What did I like from this movie?
1. My favorite character in this movie is Abe Sapien, besides Hellboy. I really enjoyed this character and his role in this movie
2. I really enjoyed Hellboy's grumpy sense of humor, such a different hero character
3. The Nazi ninja surgery addict with the clockwork heart, scary and weird!
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. I think some people could consider this movie a "either love it or hate it", so it narrows the options for people to try to watch it, since they believe they won't like it
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

Synopsis: It is Christmas Time and the McAllister family is preparing for a vacation in Paris, France. But, the youngest in the family named Kevin got into a scuffle with his older brother Buzz and was sent to his room which is on the third floor of his house. Then, the next morning, while the rest of the family were in a rush to make it to the airport on time, they completely forgot about Kevin who now has the house all to himself. Being home alone was fun for Kevin, having a pizza all to himself, jumping on his parents' bed and making a mess. Then, Kevin discovers about 2 burglars, Harry and Marv about to rob his house on Christmas eve. Kevin acts quickly by wiring his own house with makeshift booby traps to stop the burglars and to bring them to justice.
Starring: Macaulay Culkin, Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern, John Heard, Roberts Blossom
Directed by: Chris Columbus
U.S. Rating: PG
Home Alone has become one of those classics that we all watch in every family reunion at Christmas time every single year. I had the chance to watch this movie just two days ago and even though I've watched this movie dozens of times, I never get tired of it. Macaulay Culkin will ever bee remembered as the little boy that was forgotten at home on Christmas Eve, no matter how old he might get. A great classic comedy for all ages with such a fresh and funny script.
What did I like from this movie?
1. I really enjoy all the smart tricks and things Kevin does to defend the house against the two burglars, when he asks for pizza and uses the tv scenes against the pizza delivery boy and when he goes to get some supplies at the supermarket
2. Such a great cast chosen for this movie
3. The end of the movie, plus the message was really enjoyable
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Even though the sequels weren't that bad, this is one of those movies that didn't need a sequel (my personal opinion, since it's a classic)
I would rate this movie with a 4/5

Synopsis: Alex 'Hitch' Hitchens is a legendary--and deliberately anonymous--New York City 'date doctor' who, for a fee, has helped countless men woo the women of their dreams. While coaching Albert, a meek accountant who is smitten with a glamorous celebrity, Allegra Cole, Hitch finally meets his match in the person of the gorgeous, whip-smart Sara Melas, a gossip columnist who follows Allegra's every move. The ultimate professional bachelor, Hitch suddenly finds himself falling deliriously in love with Sarah, a reporter whose biggest scoop could very well be the unmasking of Manhattan's most famous date doctor.
Starring: Will Smith, Eva Mendes, Kevin James, Amber Valletta, Julie Ann Emery
Directed by: Andrew Tennant, Andy Tennant
U.S. Rating: PG-13
Such a really entertaining romantic comedy! As a huge Will Smith fan, I enjoy all his action, drama and comedy movies. Hitch is such an enjoyable romantic comedy with a great and sharply written script offering you the opportunity to frequently laugh-out-loud. Kevin James was so funny in this movie playing the role of the weird, insecure but great guy that wants to achieve the dream and love of his life (Allegra) but due to his insecure actions toward women he decides to contract Hitch's professional services. A great plot and story with so many bizarre and extremely funny situation that will entertain you from the first minute to the end of the movie, with a great romantic message at the end.
What did I like from this movie?
1. Extremely funny the scene when he goes with Sara (Eva Mendes) to the cooking competition and he's poisoned. I laughed so loud when he gets to the pharmacy and thinks it is nothing until he sees his face in the mirror. Even better... the scene after, when they're walking and he's drinking the medicine from the bottle with a straw, like a soda!
2. The time when hitch takes Sara for the first time to this museum to show her the details of her ancestor and she starts screaming and crying after she's being amazed for such a great discover. He feels like he scored with this smart move, but then everything went wrong. As he said, that situation went in a different way in his mind!
3. The dancing lessons and the moment when Albert (Kevin James) is dancing with Allegra in the club... hilarious!
4. The scenes about the kiss at the front door. The first one, when Hitch is teaching him the moves for the first kiss, and then the moment when it actually happens after the night out
5. Interesting that the movie starts being more like a comedy with some romantic scenes and ends as a 100% romantic movie with some comedy scenes
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. The end of the movie, with the dancing scene at the wedding. It was like too much, entertaining though. Many people would love it anyway

Synopsis: Meet Ralph Kramden--a man of vision, taste, and refinement. Now, if he can just get the rest of the world to see it. By day, Ralph's an ordinary New York City bus driver. But in his off-hours, he's an innovator, an inventor, an entrepreneur who's just one great idea away from instant wealth. (Unfortunately for Ralph, none of those ideas has yet panned out.) His best friend (and neighbor) is Ed Norton, who's always up for the latest plan. Wherever Ralph goes, no matter how harebrained the idea, Ed's ready to run down the fire escape and lend a hand. These two dreamers believe they're taking their families to the next level, but Ralph's wife, Alice, has set her sights on a more practical goal: buying a duplex fixer-upper with Ed and his wife, Trixie. When Ralph loses their down payment on yet another of his half-baked projects, Alice is at the end of her rope, giving Ralph just one day to come up with the cash and save their marriage.
Starring: Cedric The Entertainer, Mike Epps, Regina Hall, Gabrielle Union, Jon Polito
Directed by: John Schultz
U.S. Rating: PG-13
I enjoy the humor of Cedric The Entertainer and Mike Epps. It was exciting to see them being co-stars in this movie, even though, the plot wasn't as good as expected. They made it anyway, they played their roles the best they know how to do it, and it worked in some way. There are some funny scenes and situations on this movie that will let you enjoy it and have a good time. Cedric The Entertainer plays the role of the funky bus driver with these entrepreneur ideas that never work and his best friend (Mike Epps) that is always there for him no matter how crazy or nonsense might sound the business idea. Having some other good supporting roles, this plot helps you to relax and have a good time. Even though, believe... it's not as good as expected, one of those movies hat will make you laugh tonight, but you won't remember anything about the movie the morning after. If you want to ave some laughs, it's worth to watch.
What did I like from this movie?
1. The moment when they're walking with the metal detector on the park and Cedric The Entertainer steps on a $20 bill without noticing while he's trying to find metal or something valuable to get some money out of it
2. The whole situation with the dog, being such a lazy whenever he is at the race field
3. The dog trainer, this guy played a funny role, the crazy neurotic guy that does a little bit of "everything"
4. The way they sell the wagon for only $20000 when it was worth millions
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. It could have been a bit funnier and offer more material that would help us to remember the movie few days later
I would rate this movie with a 3/5

Definitely a movie for kids, it was too much for me. Even though, my wife loved it. I haven't watched any episodes of this Disney's series, even though, my wife said Hanah Montana is huge in the US. Most of the reviews I've read about this movie say that this movie is little more than a formulaic Disney Channel episode stretched thin.
What did I like from this movie?
1. It was ok, not as boring as I would expect it to be
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Tyra Banks in a shoe fight at a kids movie... low! (for her).

I was a little bit eclectic about watching this movie. I wasn't sure if it was one of those movies that normally show all their funny scenes on their trailer, and the rest of the movie is just as bored as it can be. Well, after reading some comments and reviews prior to the premier and watching several extra video trailers and scenes, I definitely felt motivated to go and watch this movie.
Well, after watching this movie not once, but twice! I definitely consider this movie the funniest movie so far in 2009. The actors, the funny situations, the whole plot offered such a great entertainment and extremely funny time at the movie theater. For those who haven't been convinced by the movie trailers and promotion thinking that it might be a boring movie, I definitely recommend you to give it a shot and watch it, you won't regret it at all! I can wait until I get to watch this movie again at home!
What did I like from this movie?
1. The plot. The characters, situations and the whole story from the beginning to the end were perfectly set.
2. When the guys are getting ready to leave the hotel room and go celebrate, all dressed up and the groom's brother in law shows up in jeans cheap t-shirt carrying a man's purse.
3. The morning after the night celebration, when the guys notice that the groom is missing, they find a baby in cabinet, a tiger in the bathroom, that one of the guys has lost a tooth and noone remember anything from the night before.
4. The amazing and extremely funny song sang by the dentist about all the situation and his lost friend.
5. "Not at the table Carlos"... hahaha!
6. When they find Mike Tyson in their hotel room and find him playing the piano and singing Phil Collins' song, and then he punches the groom's brother in law.
7. They whole journey when take the tiger back to its place, extremely funny!
8. Definitely, the end... when they find the camera and see all the pictures from the night they didn't remember.
I could name other situations and scenes that I totally enjoyed, the whole movie was amazingly funny!
What did I dislike from this movie?
Well, I could say that I didn't find anything I dislike from this movie, but of course, I'd be liying. In this case, I could say that the only thing I disliked was the scene where the chinese guy jumps out of the car truck and shows his huge bush... hehehe, a little bit disgusting, otherwise, the movie was perfect from my point of view.
My only concern about the movie is... did Ed Helms (Stu, the dentist) really pulled his tooth out for this movie?!?!
I would rate this movie with a huge 5/5
