Synopsis: After years of bachelorhood and ample pressure from his father, Doc, and best friend Mac, Eddie Cantrow starts to wonder if he is being too picky about the women he meets. So when a chance encounter with an alluring blonde named Lila leads to a sweet romance, Eddie impulsively proposes. But right after the wedding, as the newlyweds get to know each other on the drive down the California coast, Eddie begins to realize he's made a terrible mistake. Soon after reaching their exotic Mexican hideaway, he falls for the down-to-earth Miranda, who has no clue he's on his honeymoon. Now Eddie has to find a way to extricate himself from his days-old marriage without losing the girl of his dreams.

The Heartbreak Kid, another great movie from the Farrelly Brothers and Ben Stiller! Ben Stiller plays Eddie, the 40-years-old guy that is too scared for commitments, trying to escape from marriage. After being pushed and bothered by his dad and friends, Eddie "thinks" he's met the girl of his dreams, when he meets Lila and starts a sweet romantic relationship. When he decides to take the big step and gets married, he soon finds out that he might have committed a big mistake. During his honeymoon, he discovers that the sweet perfect woman he met, might have turned into a psycho, crazy, weird woman, showing her real personality. He meets Miranda, a sincere and sweet girl that will turn his life into a complete misery, when he knows that he's a newly wed and because of this, he won't be able to date her and know her better.. When he decides to change all the situation and chase the new "girl of his dreams", he might see that it could be too late... until the end of the movie :) A really funny plot with hilarious situations. No matter how many other similar movies like this one we've seen with Ben Stiller, he offers such a great and spontaneous sense of humor that makes every movie unique.
What did I like from this movie?
1. The wedding situation, really funny how he's been located with the kids at the "single's table"
2. Really laughed with Lila during their journey to the hotel for their honeymoon. She's such an annoying girl! I'd kick her out of the car!
3. When they enjoy the sexy night at hotel for their honeymoon, and she turns into such a violent sexual beast! Really laughed at the end of the scene when she's asleep in bed and he's sitting in the chair all traumatized
4. The Mariachi, so funny and annoying!
5. Miranda's cousin is so funny, playing such a "protective" role. Her family is also really funny
6. The whole journey to get Miranda's love and attention brings some really funny situations and scenes
7. The end is hilarious, when Eddie meets Miranda, who has recently got divorced, at the same hotel again and he says he's single, when he's married to this new girl!
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Miranda's new husband looks like a dork! A guy is stalking his new wife and he's there, laying in bed!
