Synopsis: Set in the deep, shark-infested waters of the Bahamas, four young divers discover a legendary shipwreck rumored to contain millions in gold at the bottom of the sea, they believe their dream of buried treasure has come true. But nearby on the ocean floor, a sunken plane full of illegal cargo threatens their find. The friends make a pact to keep quiet about both discoveries so they can excavate the shipwreck before a rival treasure hunter uncovers their secret and beats them to the gold. But their plan goes awry when they realize dangerous smugglers are already closing in on the missing plane, and one of the friends makes a fatal decision that quickly turns the treasure hunters into the hunted.
Starring: Paul Walker, Jessica Alba, Scott Caan, Ashley Scott, Josh Brolin
Directed by: John Stockwell
U.S. Rating: PG-13
With such a great cast, this movie could have reached the potential and success it deserved. Into the Blue offers such an amazing aerial and underwater photography and a great cast. The plot wasn't as good as it could be... two couples searching for a treasure undersea, they find a plane containing drug which they try to use to help their financial needs to complete their search. All the events are located mostly in the water, which provides the best images and photography in this movie. Paul Walker plays the key role, with the support of Jessica Alba, Scott Caan and Josh Brolin. Anyway, if you're planning to stay home and have a relaxing weekend with friends or your love one, and want to watch an action movie that will offer you a great cast, amazing photography and a pretty basic plot, then I recommend you to watch this movie.
What did I like from this movie?
1. The different scenes when they're diving underwater, such an amazing view and photography, especially in a big screen
2. Some of the action scenes were actually entertaining
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. Didn't like Ashley Scott's performance in this movie. I'm glad she didn't make it until the end of the movie
2. Can't believe they made a sequel of this movie! (which I haven't watched yet, but I must watch it within the next few days and see if it falls into the rule of the NO-NO for a sequel)
I would rate this movie with a 3/5
