Movie Review: Gone in 60 Seconds

Tuesday, September 22, 2009
Synopsis: Randall "Memphis" Raines long ago abandoned his life of crime, but after an ominous visit from an old friend, he finds he has no choice but to return to what he does best--stealing cars--in order to save his brother's life. It all comes down to one night, 50 cars and a mafia contract. A true automobile aficionado, Memphis has a burning passion for cars. He knows and loves every nut and bolt, every gleaming piece of chrome. Memphis is a car thief of legendary proportions. No fancy lock or alarm can stop him; your car will be there and gone in 60 seconds. Though he's always eluded the law while boosting every make and model imaginable, will his rusty skills be enough to rescue his brother from a particularly dangerous high stakes caper?

One of the best movies with Nicolas Cage, no doubt about it! Gone in 60 Seconds is such a great action plot. The script and film offers you a huge doses of adrenaline, speed, great cars, an amazing cast and amazing scenes and situations. I've watched this movie countless times. I always enjoy it, getting the best from every scene and entertaining situations. Randall Reins and his gang were the best in their field, stealing cars. After leaving the city, by request of his mother, Randall needs to come back few years later to save his younger brother, who has decided to follow his older brother's steps. His brother set a deal with a criminal to provide him with 50 stolen cars. The only problem: His brother has been caught by the police and he won't be able to complete the deal. Now his brother needs to care of the deal and deliver 50 stolen cars in one night. Can Randall and his gang make it like in the old times and save his little brother? That's the movie all about! 50 cars, one night. Amazing and entertaining situations and action scenes. 100% Recommended!

What did I like from this movie?

1. I totally enjoyed the amazing cast in this movie. Such a great list of great actors and actresses. Robert Duvall, Nicolas Cage, Delroy Lindo, Angelina Jolie
2. The scene when Randall and his brother escape from the rival gang and hide at the bar where police officers were taking a cup of coffee
3. All the strategy and scenes where the cars were being stolen
4. Obviously, the whole scenes with Eleanor

What did I dislike from this movie?

1. All critics and reviews made on this movie were based on a comparison with the original plot from 1974, trying to take this remake down because it just took part of the original script and scenes

I would rate this movie with a 4/5
