As a huge Dwayne Johnson (The Rock) follower, I waited for the chance to watch his most recent movie, Race to Witch Mountain. I wasn't expecting much action, violence or adult humor, since it is a movie from Walt Disney. Following other similar movies, Walt Disney offers us Race to Witch Mountain, a plot for the whole family. What is the movie about? Jack Bruno (The Rock), is a taxi driver who is picking up and dropping off passengers to the UFO convention at the Planet Hollywood Casino and Hotel in Las Vegas. While picking up and dropping off passengers, he drives off, noticing two children, Sara and Seth sitting in the back seat of the cab. They tell him they need to go to a certain destination and are willing to pay all they have ($15,000) to get there. They lead him to a run down house in the middle of nowhere, the place where Bruno and the kids start being attacked by a "Siphon", a creature built to destroy a certain target in this case the children, They are next pursued by government agencies trying to retrieve the children for experiments. Finally, they are joined by Dr. Friedman (Carla Gugino) at the UFO Expo, who is familiar with outer space and travel, who finally helps them to get to their spaceship and be re-united with their relatives.

Personally, the movie didn't bring the action and humor I expected to get, having such a good cast. There were some scenes that I considered simply boring.

What did I like from this movie?

1. The effects and sound were really good in this movie. Especially the scene when the male kid leaves the cab and hits the truck, or when they see the universe while the kids show Dr. Friedman some information, or some explosion and fight moments.
2. Even though I consider this movie a bit boring, Dwayne Johnson was capable to bring not just a really good humor to the movie, but some action and quality to the whole plot.

What did I dislike from this movie?

1. The kids, especially the little girl, were actors. Let's be honest... "Jack Bruno this... Jack Bruno that...", so cold, stiff and not spontaneous. I didn't like these kids, I believe they coud have found better kids or young actors for these roles.

I would rate this movie with a 2/5
