Movie Review: Baby On Board

Saturday, July 25, 2009
Synopsis: On the day Angela gets the green light to develop a major ad campaign for a perfume for pregnant women, she finds she's unexpectedly pregnant and wrongly believes her husband, Curtis, is having an affair. Curtis, a high-priced divorce lawyer, wrongly assumes he's not the father and that Angela's having an affair. Both get bad advice -- she from her mother, he from his recently-separated law partner - to give the other the silent treatment: so each is miserable. At work, Angela keeps her pregnancy secret from her tough female boss, and Curtis is put in situations demanding amoral legal casuistry. Will either smarten up in time for the baby's arrival? And what about the perfume? BABY ON BOARD begins with an inconvenient pregnancy that leads to a nine-month roller coaster ride as Angela and Curtis try to cope-even as the interference of best friends Danny and Danny's wife Sylvia escalate the situation into a battle of the sexes.

Starring: Heather Graham, Jerry O'Connell, John Corbett, Lara Flynn Boyle, Katie Finneran

Knowing so many friends who have gone through similar situations, the plot of this movie offers a romantic and fun point of view of all those professional couples who try to progress on their lives and are afraid of having kids, since they could greatly affect their careers, professional projects and success. A comedy loaded with funny scenes and situations. A good movie to be watched by friends or couples on a relaxing weekend at home.

What did I like from this movie?

1. The scene when both friends are talking on the Gym lockers area and see the old fat man walking from the showers and his long old balls are hanging out of his towel
2. Curtis' dysfunctional friend and his continuous sex and weird addictions
3. The couples' fight at the restaurant and the end of the situation when the old man appears on scene
4. The moment when Angela gives the presentation to the Japanese investors, she has to leave to the hospital because she's about to give birth and her boss defends her to the disrespectful comments made by the Japaneses.

What did I dislike from this movie?

1. They had really great and funny scenes and bloopers at the end of the movie that could have been part of the movie, but it made the end fun anyway.

I would rate this movie with a 3/5
