Synopsis: "The Tooth Fairy," also known as Derek Thompson, is a hard-charging hockey player whose nickname comes from his habit of separating opposing players from their bicuspids. Let me just start saying that The Tooth Fairy is a film for kids. If you're a big fan of Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson's action films and you're expecting to get some in this comedy film, don't get too excited because, as I said, it is a kids film. If you don't mind to watch him on these roles, then you might really enjoy the film.
Now, if you watch the film from a grown-up perspective, it might be taken as a silly, cheesy and boring film. If you watch it from a kid's perspective, you'll enjoy the film.
I had the chance to watch it from this last perspective, from a childish, goofy and inoffensive perspective and I totally enjoyed it. The plot is really simple, cheesy, childish, goofy, basically unfunny (even though, there will be some moments and situations that will make you have some good laughs) but somehow... entertaining.
The film is about Derek, a famous hockey player who gets his nickname "The Tooth Fairy" and fame from beating other hockey players and breaking their teeth. He doesn't believe in fairy tails and loves spontaneously to be mean and bold with people, especially, with kids, destroying their dreams, goals and visions.

Derek needs to balance his professional life as hockey player, his personal life dating his girlfriend (one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood, Ashley Judd. Ok, that's my personal appreciation. If you have read some of my previous reviews, you'll know that I have a crush on Kate Beckinsale, but she's in second place, since my major crush has always been on Ashley Judd), her two kids and his new responsibilities as a Tooth Fairy. Something that will stress him up and will make him do things that will push away those people he loves and cares the most, but at the same time, the new experience will help him to change his beliefs on Fairy Tails and miracles, helping everyone around him and especially, himself.
If you're looking for a goofy comedy and watch it with your kids, this is a really good option.

Big Daddy could be considered the first good romantic comedy/drama film for Adam Sandler. After playing a few goofy films like Billy Madison, Happy Guilmore (which I DO love), The Wedding Singer, The Waterboy, etc., Big Daddy was such a great romantic and sentimental comedy film.
I know Adam Sandler can be one of those likable actors or not. There's no grey lines with him. All the people I know either like him or not. But most of the people that have watched the film, totally loved it, no matter if they didn't like Adam Sandler. If you haven't watched the film yet, Big Daddy is a fresh and charming film that should be highly considered to be watched.

I'll try to be totally objective on this review. Harry Potter, sorry!... Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lighting Thief.
In a world where the Greek mythology gods and goddesses have kids with humans and they interact in between both worlds, Percy Jackson is Poseidon's son.
The story starts when Zeus and Poseidon meet at the top of the Empire State Building to discuss Zeus' missing lightning bolt, which he believes Percy, Poseidon's son, has stolen. Percy finds he can think best when underwater for 7 to 10 minutes at a time (of course, Poseidon was hs father and the god of the sea). His best friend is Grover, who is revealed as a sort of assistant demigod assigned to watch over him. His teacher is Mr. Brunner, who is actually Chiron, a centaur. (played by Pierce Brosnan) Percy thinks he is dyslexic, but it's only that his eyes instinctively turn English into Greek letters. After learning of his real identity, he goes off to Chiron's demigod training camp with Grover, and he becomes friends with Annabeth, a demi-goddess.
He loses his mother at the entrance of the camp and he decides to go to underground and help her to come back, after finding out that she lives and she's being kept there by Hades. He counts with the help of Annabeth and Grover. They will have to travel around the country trying to find three pearls which help them to return from hell once they get there. One of the best attractions among the gods is Medusa, played by Uma Thurman. She (and especially, her head) will play a key role in this film.
Everything rounds around the journey to underground and save his mother from hell. At the end, they have the chance to meet their parents (the gods) and go back to the camp, which I believe will be part of the future films related with this franchise and books.
What did I like from this movie?
1. I must be honest, the film brought some really amazing and entertaining CGI effects
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. It was like watching a lighter version of Harry Potter based in New York City. For those who don't know me, you should know that I'm an anti-Harry Potter person. I haven't read any of the books and have no intention of reading them in the future. I've watched 2 of the 6 films so far and I found them really boring. In fact, I felt asleep while I was watching one of them at the theater, something that never happened ever before! Yes, you might be saying... what?!?! But that's the truth. So, as I said, I felt like watching the American version of Harry Potter

Here's the new movie trailer for Wesley Snipes' latest film, Game of Death. Wesley has paid his debt with justice and now he's back! The film seems to be loaded with tons of action scenes and will be released sometime in 2010. It looks good and I think we should give him a second chance to be the good action actor we used to enjoy some years ago.

Normally, huge hits like American Pie can't handle a sequel without falling into a boring, nonsense of unfunny content. This is not the case for this funny franchise. American Pie I, II and American Wedding is a perfect example of how to maintain the story and sequels as funny, creative and entertaining as the first one. There are other films that are (supposedly) related with these three original films, some of them even have one or two members of the original cast (for example, Eugene Levy), but they have nothing to do with the original trilogy and their creative funny content.
This film brings some really interesting details to their fans. First of all, American Wedding didn't fall into something boring or unfunny. It has some crazy bizarre content, but at the same time, a original and creative plot that will keep you laughing from one scene to another one.
I remember a while ago when some members of the cast were asked about a future sequel, they commented that there was a big chance for it, possibly about an affair, a baby birth or any other situation that could reunite the team. It's been almost 7 years since American Wedding, but the good thing is that new rumors are flying around the entertainment industry about a new sequel or reboot of this great franchise.
If you enjoy these comedy films and haven't had the chance to watch this one, I totally recommend it. I'm sure you'll have some good laughs.

20th Century Fox has released the second movie trailer for Oliver Stone's latest film, Wall Street 2, starring Michael Douglas & Shea LaBeouf. This new trailer reveals more details about the plot, totally recommended to watch. As said before, I'll seriously consider to watch this one!
Synopsis: The film is set 23 years after the first film, in June 2008, and Gordon Gekko (Michael Douglas) has just been released from prison. Despite his initial attempts to warn Wall Street of the forthcoming economic downturn and stock market crash, no one believes him due to his reduced standing in the financial world. Gekko decides to re-focus his attention on rebuilding his relationship with his estranged daughter, Winnie (Carey Mulligan). Hugh Jackman did a great job on this film. A film with such an unique cast, great CGI effects and amazing action scenes. The best thing of the film is not just watching the plot and events related with Wolverine and his life, but having the chance of watching the film again on Blu Ray. It offered more content and deleted scenes showing how the film relates other prominent mutants in their early years (for example, Storm).
Wolverine could be considered the first film of the X-Men Origins series. We all know Fox and Marvel is already working on Magneto and Dead pool. It will keep a wide open window to these two companies to keep working on this amazing franchise and bring future films about the life of some of the most famous mutants.
I really enjoyed the film. I'm a huge fan of the franchise, even though, I can't consider this particular film at the same level of the previous X-Men films.
