Synopsis: Superman has recognized at last the greatest threat to humanity, and he is out to rid the world of nuclear weapons. But Lex Luthor, now a nuclear arms entrepreneur, creates Nuclear Man--a solar-powered Kryptonia Android and genetic clone whose powers equal (and potentially surpass) those of Superman--to rid the world of the Man of Steel. Christopher Reeve once again dons the Superman costume, this time for director Sidney J. Furie (LADY SINGS THE BLUES), receiving wonderful support from regulars Margot Kidder, Gene Hackman, and Jackie Cooper in addition to newcomers Mariel Hemingway and Jon Cryer.

Starring: Christopher Reeve, Gene Hackman, Margot Kidder, Jackie Cooper, Mariel Hemingway
Directed by: David Lane, Sidney J. Furie, Christopher Reeve
U.S. Rating: PG

What a classic! Nothing like these old sequels. Christopher Reeve will be Superman forever, no matter what! We might have many other new sequels, but he'll be the notorious one. Great plot, amazing cast... the younger Gene Hackman and many other great profiles. Definitely a great classic for those lovers of super heroes, especially, one of the most famous ones.

What did I like from this movie?

1. Gene Hackman played such a great role in this movie as Lex Luthor, the eternal rival of Superman, as well as Christopher Reeve in his famous role as Superman/Clark Kent

What did I dislike from this movie?

1. The effects were really bad, especially knowing that 3 years earlier we had Terminator, an amazing movie with great effects and just 4 years later we had the sequel of Terminator, with some of the most amazing effects and CGI on that decade

I would rate this movie with a 3/5

  3. I love Superman but this movie is pretty bad. I mean, I laughed the entire time just because of how horrible the effects where. And PROPS! The giant computer that attacks them is just the funniest thing ever. If you haven't seen this, you just have to for the computer alone!! Mark made me watch it a year or two ago just so I could see the computer in it. I appreciate these old computer plot lines, though - the ones where the computers take over the world. Or like in Tron where computers are made up of actual men and women who just move about inside the computer to make it work. It's like the theory I had when I was 4 year old: there are ACTUAL people in the television putting on playing just for me!

  5. OH NO! I was talking about Superman III!!!!! I can't believe they made ANOTHER one after that! I don't think I've seen Superman IV with "Nuclear Man." This one just sounds horrible....... I might just HAVE to see it. HAHA
