Movie Review: Ocean's Thirteen

Synopsis: What are the odds of getting even? Danny Ocean and the gang would have only one reason to pull off their most ambitious and riskiest casino heist--to defend one of their own. But they're going to need more than luck on their side to break The Bank. Ruthless casino owner Willy Bank never imagined that the odds were against him when he double-crossed Danny Ocean's friend and mentor Reuben Tishkoff, putting the distraught Reuben in a hospital bed in critical condition. But Bank miscalculated--badly. He may have taken down one of the original Ocean's eleven, but he left the others standing and, worse for him, gave them a shared purpose: to take Bank down on the night of what should be his greatest triumph--the grand opening of his new casino, appropriately named The Bank. Their strategy is twofold. First they will ruin him financially by turning the tables on the precept that the house always wins. But that's just money. The knockout punch will be to Bank's personal pride and joy: his reputation as the only hotelier who has earned the Royal Review Board's Five Diamond Award on every single one of his hotels. The plan is elaborate, dangerous and damn near impossible--but there are no limits when it comes to one of their own.

Starring: George Clooney, Ellen Barkin, Matt Damon, Brad Pitt, Andy Garcia
Directed by: Steven Soderbergh
U.S. Rating: PG-13

Definitely one of my favorite movies and sequels! I believe this is one of those few movies with such a large cast with some of the top Hollywood actors and actresses that actually work (if you know what I mean!). I've watched Ocean's Eleven, Twelve and Thirteen countless times, and never get tired of it. The plot of every single one of these three movies is simply amazing and extremely entertaining, definitely my kind of movie! George Clooney, Brad Pitt and the rest of the gang have matched so perfectly for each one of the plots, noone tries to be the attraction and noone leaves a bad impression among the other roles. If you haven't watched Ocean's Eleven, the first sequel and (especially) this movie, you have missed such a great entertaining plot!

What did I like from this movie?

1. When Matt Daemon is with George Clooney (Danny Ocean) and Elliot Gould (Reuben) while Reuben is in bed recovering from his heart attack. Matt is talking with him in a very loud voice and George says that he's sick, not deaf
2. The whole plot about how they plan the revenge, I honestly have to admit that I haven't expected the results in any of these movies (which I totally enjoy!)
3. The whole situation in Mexico, when the two brothers push the employees from the factory to start a strike and get better conditions, just to be able to work on the stuff they'll use at the casino
4. The whole situation with Matt Daemon as Mr. weng's assistant and his romantic encounter with Abigail (Ellen Barkin)

What did I dislike from this movie?

1. I loved this movie!... there's nothing I didn't like from this movie. The only thing I don't like is that we won't have Bernie Mac among the gang for a possible new sequel in the future

I would rate this movie with a 4/5
