Synopsis: Celebrity photographer Connor Mead loves freedom, fun and women... in that order. A committed bachelor who thinks nothing of breaking up with multiple women on a conference call, Connor's mockery of romance proves a real buzz-kill for his kid brother, Paul, and a houseful of well wishers on the eve of Paul's wedding. Just when it looks like Connor may single-handedly ruin the wedding, he is visited by the ghosts of his former jilted girlfriends, who take him on a revealing and hilarious odyssey through his failed relationships--past, present and future. Together they attempt to find out what turned Connor into such an insensitive jerk and whether there is still hope for him to find true love...or if he really is the lost cause everyone thinks he is.

Starring: Matthew McConaughey, Jennifer Garner, Breckin Meyer, Lacey Chabert, Robert Forster
Directed by: Mark Waters
U.S. Rating: PG-13

I like Matthew McConaughey movies, for example, Two for the money, We are Marshall, Sahara, etc. I also like Jennifer Garner, I not just believe she's a beautiful but talented actress. The thing is that I REALLY don't know what they were thinking when they were making this movie. The plot has some good moments, expressing some interesting and relevant messages about true love, loyalty, friendship and respect, but it seemed to be so cheesy, so girlish that it turned into such a boring and cheap movie. McConaughey, in one of his best roles, "a Casanova" tries in so many different scenes so hard to be too funny. Anyway, I consider this movie can be watched on any Sunday afternoon at home, when you have nothing important to do and want to chill and cuddle with your partner.

What did I like from this movie?

1. The message about the importance of true love and friendship, loyalty and respect offered by the plot.
2. There were actually some few really funny scenes, which gave some energy to the movie, for example, when Connor has to get his brother's fiancee back and he's got the old Cadillac with no safe belt, or the moments when the young Connor was being taught by his uncle about the art of hitting on women.
3. I really liked the "Sergeant", brought some funny moments to the movie

What did I dislike from this movie?

1. As I commented before, I believe McConaughey tried so hard to be funny in some scenes and didn't look natural.
2. The set for some scenes really sucked, for example, the moment when he's being introduced to all his past by the first ghost and they get to some rooms (the dance ballroom, etc), the set looked really cheap.

I would rate this movie with a 2/5
