A new week, a new Top Ten Tuesdays blog post! This week I've decided to bring my top ten selection on Film Producers, starting with one of my top favorite ones: Jerry Bruckheimer.

I'm a huge fan of Jerry Bruckheimer's work, not just on the big screen, but specially on TV Series. He's the executive producer of some of the most successful TV series in the world, starting with his most famous franchise: CSI. But, we're not here to talk about his work on TV, but to choose my ten favorite films among all of his (produced) films.

Note: As well as my previous Top Ten Tuesdays posts, the films on this post have been placed in NO particular order. Let's be honest... It has been extremely difficult for me to choose just ten films out of my large list of favorite films. Right?

10
Veronica Guerin
Synopsis: In the mid-1990s, Dublin was nothing short of a war zone, with a few powerful drug lords battling for control. Their most fearsome opponent was not the police, but the courageous journalist Veronica Guerin, who covered the crime beat with unmatched intensity. As she investigated and exposed the "pushers," balancing her home and family against her responsibility to her readers and her country, she became a national folk heroine to the people of Ireland; each attempt on her life only galvanized her legend. Her brutal murder in 1996 forced a dramatic revision of Ireland's laws and, as well, led to the arrests of the nation's top criminals.

Personal Comments: Such an amazing thriller and outstanding performance by Cate Blanchett and her supporting cast. A compelling true story so worth to watch.

9
Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl
Synopsis: A tale of adventure set during the 17th Century in the Caribbean Sea. For the roguish yet charming Captain Jack Sparrow, the crystalline waters of the Caribbean, like the high seas the world over, present a vast playground where adventure and mystery abound. But Jack's idyllic life capsizes after his nemesis, the wily Captain Barbossa, steals his ship, the Black Pearl, and later attacks the town of Port Royal, kidnapping the Governor's beautiful daughter, Elizabeth Swann. Elizabeth's childhood friend, Will Turner, joins forces with Jack to commandeer the fastest ship in the British fleet, the HMS Interceptor, in a gallant attempt to rescue her and recapture the Black Pearl. The duo and their crew are pursued by Elizabeth's betrothed, the debonair, ambitious Commodore Norrington, aboard the HMS dauntless. Unbeknownst to Will, there is a curse that has doomed Barbossa and his crew to live forever as the undead--when exposed to moonlight, they are exposed to living skeletons. The curse they carry can be broken, only if a once-plundered treasure is restored.

Personal Comments: I must say that I'm a big fan of all the 4 films, but Pirates of the Caribbean I: The Curse of the Black Pearl is my top favorite one. Jhonny Deep performed one of his best, weirdest and funniest roles of his entire career.

8
Beverly Hills Cop
Synopsis: A wisecracking, rules-breaking Detroit cop finds himself in Beverly Hills to investigate the murder of a friend and teaches his stiff-necked Beverly Hills counterparts some lessons in the finer arts of police investigation techniques.

Personal Comments: Definitely, the film that opened Hollywood doors to Eddie Murphy. He left his name recorded in Hollywood history with this film. Such an entertaining and hilarious action/comedy classic.

7
Remember the Titans
Synopsis: Based on the true story of the explosive events that took place in Alexandria, Virginia in 1971 when African-American football coach Herman Boone was hired to guide an integrated but racially polarized high school team--the T.C. Williams Titans. Angry, stubborn and a rigid taskmaster, Boone faces a cool reception from the team's players as well as an awkward relationship with assistant coach Bill Yoast, a local white man with seniority and a tradition of winning who was bypassed for the job. It's made clear that Bill has feelings of animosity for having to be an assistant under a black man. As the two men learn to overcome their ignorance and bigotry and realize that they have much in common--integrity, honor, and a strong work ethic--they work together to transfom a group of angry, unfocused players into a dynamic winning team of responsible young men. In the process, they also unite a divided community and ensure that Virginia will always "Remember the Titans."

Personal Comments: Obviously, I couldn't leave one of my top favorite actors out of the list: Denzel Washington. One of his BEST films ever was this amazing true story about how sports, politics and racially polarized events were brilliantly managed by a man who was able to tear those walls of racial differences and unite a community around their high school football team. Such an amazing and truly inspiring film worth to watch.

6
Days of Thunder
Synopsis: Action drama about an ambitious young race car driver, set against the highly competitive and dangerous NASCAR racing circuit.

Personal Comments: Definitely one of Tom Cruise's classics. This film got all you can expect from a great film: Cars, speed, drama, action, adrenaline... A great classic to keep it handy for a quiet lazy weekend!

5
Déjà Vu
Synopsis: Everyone has experienced the unsettling mystery of déjà vu--that flash of memory when you meet someone new you feel you've known all your life or recognize a place even though you've never been there before. But what if the feelings were actually warnings sent from the past or clues to the future? It is déjà vu that unexpectedly guides ATF agent Doug Carlin through an investigation into a shattering crime. Called in to recover evidence after a bomb sets off a cataclysmic explosion on a New Orleans Ferry, Carlin is about to discover that what most people believe "is only in their heads" is actually something far more powerful--and will lead him on a mind-bending race to save hundreds of innocent people.

Personal Comments: A great thriller with a pretty interesting and twisted plot. The production delivered everything you expect from a memorable film: Superb and unique cast, strong and entertaining plot and amaizing direction/production. Another great film to watch over and over again!

4
Enemy of the State
Synopsis: An attorney is entangled in a web of national politics when a reporter friend accidentally records the murder of a senator. Unaware that he is in possession of the reporter's video, the attorney becomes the target of a National Security Agency investigation which nearly succeeds in destroying his personal and professional life. Only when he meets the mysterious Brill, a surveillance and information professional, does he begin to understand the stakes in this game.

Personal Comments: Yet another superb thriller so worth to watch. With Will Smith, Gene Hackman and Jon Voight, such a strong and intriguing plot and an amazing production, this film became one of my top favorite films of all times.

3
Bad Boys II
Synopsis: Miami narcotics detectives Mike Lowrey and Marcus Burnett become part of a high-tech task force assigned to stem the flood of designer ecstasy into Miami. They unwittingly uncover a deadly conspiracy involving a ruthless drug lord who is determined to expand his empire and take control of the city's burgeoning narcotics trade, killing anyone who stands in his way. To make matters worse, Marcus' beautiful sister Syd, an undercover DEA agent, gets caught in the crossfire, forcing our heroes to the edge of the law. The assignment takes on further complications when romantic sparks start to fly between Mike and Syd, driving her overly protective brother completely around the bend. But Marcus and Mike must overcome their differences to bring down Tapia. And when Syd's cover is jeopardized, it's up to the Bad Boys to rescue her.

Personal Comments: Definitely, one of my TOP three favorite films produced by Jerry Bruckheirmer. I should also add the first Bad Boys I, but the sequel was definitely better. I honestly can't even guess how many times I've watched this film, and I can't ever, ever get tired of it! I'm so looking for the third one, coming in 2015!

2
Black Hawk Down
Synopsis: The true story of the United States' involvement in Somalia during an ill-fated humanitarian mission. On October 3, 1993, U.S. soldiers entered Somalia on an exercise that was supposed to take less than an hour. The mission turned into a nightlong battle against thousands of heavily armed Somalians. Eighteen U.S. soldiers and more than 500 Somalians were killed as a result of this conflict.

Personal Comments: So far, one of my TOP favorite war films. Based on a true story, this film delivered the chaos of war especially, when things go wrong. Amazing cast, superb production and a compelling action/drama film about a recent war conflict.

1
Top Gun
Synopsis: A young recruit aspires to become the top fighter pilot in the prestigious naval training school he attends.

Personal Comments: One of the greatest classics of all times. Tom Cruise's muse and one entertaining film packed with all you expect from a superb production: Action, drama, superb cast, great direction/production and an amazing plot.

What do you think of this list? Is any of these films also one of your top favorite ones?
