Synopsis: When he hears The Beatle's song "Norwegian Wood," Toru Watanabe recalls his life as an introverted, serious college student in 1969. At the time, he was devoted to his first girlfriend Naoko, but they both lived in the shadow of a mutual friend's suicide. And as they tried to deal with their grief, Naoko became more withdrawn and Toru found himself attracted to the outgoing, confident Midori.
