Synopsis: Michael Jackson takes a final bow in this theatrical concert film featuring rehearsal footage of the late megastar as he practiced for the 100 shows in London that never came to be. HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL's Kenny Ortega handles direction duties as well as choreography chores for the HD-shot film.
Starring: Michael Jackson
Directed by: Kenny Ortega
U.S. Rating: PG
As a big Michael Jackson's fan who would have loved to be in one of his concerts in London last summer, I must admit that this musical-documentary shows the rehearsals of what would have been such an amazing show in musical history. I must admit that I never agreed with all the weird things surrounding his personal life and the way he lived it, but no one, absolutely no one can say that he won't be the king of pop forever.
The best thing about this musical-documentary is that it looks it never was intended to be filmed for public viewing, and it makes it even more spontaneous and original, showing all those little details that made him the best in the pop music world.
On this documentary, MJ goes through some of his best and most memorable songs, giving us a glimpse of what would have been a series of concerts that would show why he was the king. Totally recommended if... you're an MJ fan :)
What did I like from this movie?
1. The songs selection for this documentary was the best
2. All the video material and effects that was prepared for the concerts, especially the material for The Earth Song and Thriller... simply amazing!
3. The band was absolutely impressive, especially the girl and guy playing the guitars
What did I dislike from this movie?
1. I would have add more song, music to the documentary, but it was more than ok
I would rate this movie with a 4/5
