It's good that I don't pay attention to other people's comments and I always like to follow my own instincts (I know, sometimes they suck!) and watch the movies no matter what. That's the case with this movie. I remember the first comments I read and heard about this movie, not the best ones. Well, I finally had the chance to watch it and I could say that it's a very entertaining movie. It's a plot that offers a little bit of good comedy and drama at the same time. Great cast, lots of good comedians in just one plot, among other great actors like Eric Bana. I kinda like Adam Sandler's drama movies, because the image we usually have of Adam Sandler is always the one related with romantic/comedy movies. In this movie, Adam Sandler plays a role of a guy, that even though is a famous stand-up comedian, his life is a complete drama, being unhappy because he never got married with the love of his life, became a comedian because he suffered all the time trying to make his dad laugh and he finally was diagnosed with a terminal sickness. In the other hand, we have some new comedy actors like Seth Rogen and Jonah Hill bringing some comedy to the drama role played by Adam Sandler in this movie. The first half of the movie was really entertaining, with some drama and especially, some good comedy scenes, and a second half less entertaining but with a good message. If you feel like watching this movie, don't pay attention to the comments out there, watch it and get your own conclusions :) My best advise on this one.

What did I like from this movie?

1. The moment when they have this MySpace stand-up comedy show, Adam Sandler is waiting backstage and this guy asks him if he's on MySpace. Adam Sandler answers him something like: "No, I have women to @$£&^, I don't have time for that" His answer and the way he said it was hilarious!
2. The whole scene when Adan Sandler and Seth Rogen are in this coffee shop and Seth starts crying because Adam Sandler is dying and Adam Sandler tries to make him stop because he's getting embarrased
3. The scene when Eric Bana (playing the australian husband of Adam sandler's ex-girlfriend) is finghting with Adam sandler in their back yard and his wife starts mocking him with his accent, hilarious!
4. The scene when he's at the doctor's office and he makes fun of him while he's trying to be serious

What did I dislike from this movie?

1. The sad reality of these changes on people's behavior. Adam Sandler showed the two different sides of a story when a famous person gets humble when he knows he'll die soon, and how changes due to his pride when he knows he's cured and could do anything he wants again

I would rate this movie with a 3/5
