Synopsis: With their fiery fusion of Latin and hip-hop moves, Lina Cruz (Christina Milian) and her best friends, Gloria (Vanessa Born) and Treyvonetta (Gabrielle Dennis), are about to lead the East L.A. high-school cheer squad to victory at one of the most prominent competitions in the nation. But just as the crew is about to take the world by storm, Lina's mother remarries and the family makes the move to Malibu. Once there, Lina quickly realizes that the Malibu Vista High Sea Lions aren't anywhere near as talented as her old cheer squad. Now, in order to transform the Sea Lions into a championship team, Lina must teach them the moves needed to knock the award-winning Jaguar cheer squad out of the top spot--not to mention their trash-talking captain, Avery (Rachele Brooke Smith). When Lina and Avery's brother, Evan (Cody Longo), become romantically involved, the competition between the two girls really begins to heat up. With the stakes higher than ever before, Lina hatches a scheme to take her team all the way to the top and prove that they have what it takes to become true champions.

There are some NO-NO in sequels. This is definitely one of them! I watched the first one and could say that it was kind of entertaining (few years ago). Then there was a sequel and it obviously wasn't as good as the first one. And finally, they decided to bring another sequel thinking that it might actually be as good (at least) as the previous one. I think Christina Milian did a good job in Be Cool, working with such a great cast in that movie. They really helped her to shine in that movie. But in her case, definitely the idea of being the key role in a movie doesn't mean that you'll do a good job or that it will be a hit. This movie was one of those typical movies about teens, high school, cheer leaders and competitions that ends in such a boring experience to watch for about 90 minutes. There was nothing new or different, just the same thing we always get from these movies, even the same boring stereotype (the rich proud girl that is the leader of the rival team, the handsome guy and the girl next door that works hard to make her team to win... bla, bla, bla). I've read some previous reviews and news about this movie, and there were actually some people (well... mostly young girls) that loved this movie and said it was even better than the first one! I don't know if it is me, or there is something wrong with their movie taste! Anyway, definitely not my choice and not my recommendation for you guys... but you have the last word.

What did I like from this movie?

1. Some of the songs played in this movie

What did I dislike from this movie?

1. The guy that plays the Latino guy, his voice sounds like the voice an old Radio presenter played in 16 rpm. I remember when my dad used to play his old LP at home... I loved to play with its speed, going from 33 rpm to 45 rpm and then bring it back to 16 rpm, in a deep voice and a very slow motion
2. The plot was too shallow and with no substance. I know that generally these teen movies have no substance, but that's what I expect from a sequel, to bring something better or different from the previous one, not the same

I would rate this movie with a 1/5

  2. This is one of the best reviews ever!! HAHA I love that the only thing that you were able to give a remote amount of praise to was the music in the movie. I saw the first one and barely got through it. I doubt I could have been able to even watch the second one...let alone the third.
