I must start saying that I believe that the person who enjoyed the film was John Travolta. He looked so "cool" for a secret agent with such a bad attitude.

From Paris with Love was an entertaining action movie. It didn't require much brain to follow the film, even though, it had such an unexpected "twist" situation that made it interesting. The most enjoyable from the film some really funny and crazy dialogue lines, especially quoted by John Travolta.

The film is about James Reese, a low ranking U.S. Intelligence member working for the American Embassy in Paris. He's being assigned to work with Charlie Wax, a crazy special Agent who will be working in Paris trying to reveal and destroy a terrorist plan to kill everyone in an important ceremony with the presence of many different important delegates from around the world. When they start finding vital information and people, they will soon find that James has been framed and he's being used to get all the important information and tools to access this important event.

An entertaining film with a pretty standard and decent plot, offering some good laughs and some crazy action scenes.

What did I like from this movie?

1. John Travolta, bringing some of the crazy attitude and style, that same style and attitude that made him famous with Pulp Fiction!
2. The twist in the middle of the film
3. Some really good laughs with the dialogue lines used by John Travolta

What did I dislike from this movie?

1. I didn't like the end as much as I liked the rest of the film

Many of you know that I'm a Nicolas Cage movies fan. I follow all of his movies and try to watch them all. Next wasn't an exception. What I could say is that it was an exception to those good movies led by Nicolas Cage I've watched before. I like to think he went through a dark period of time working on some bad movies, like Next and Bangkok Dangerous, for example, and now he's back with some recent good movies and some new good projects he's been working on.

Next is about Cris Johnson, a guy with a special and unique supernatural power... he can see and predict "his future" and change the events according with the things and probabilities he sees from his future. He's well known in Las Vegas and he's been followed by the FBI to get his assistance in finding a dangerous terrorist group that is planning to attack the U.S. with a nuclear bomb. They want him to find them and prevent this attack. But first, they need to catch him. On this process, he meets Liz Cooper, someone he's seen in his visions and that will be related with all the "possible" events he will be involved in the future.

The FBI and the terrorist group take advantage of this situation and they will fight for getting him, or getting the girl... so he can collaborate with them (the FBI) , or simply be murdered by the terrorist group.

A really lazy and empty plot supported by such a great and talented cast. It's sad that with such an interesting idea, they didn't take advantage of it and brought a pretty basic and, in some occasions, a nonsense script. No matter what, it can be an entertaining film for a good weekend afternoon at home.

What did I like from this movie?

1. Good cast involved in this film
2. I really enjoyed the "idea" of this plot, but not the content
3. Some good effects and great quality image (especially on Blu Ray!)
4. I enjoyed the last scene, good end

What did I dislike from this movie?

1. The script was really weak. The project of a guy seeing and predicting the future could give you thousands of better situations and ideas, but it seems that they just focused on some basic and nonsense ideas and brought them to the big screen, for example, the avalanche scene
2. I couldn't feel any chemistry between Nicolas Cage and Jessica Biel, at all!

Lionsgate released the final green band movie trailer for the upcomin action film, Kick-Ass. Starring Aaron Johnson, Mark Strong, Xander Berkeley and Christopher Mintz-Plasse alongside Nicolas Cage and Chloe Moretz.

Synopsis: Dave Lizewski, a comic-book fanboy, decides to take his obsession as inspiration to become a real-life superhero. As any good superhero would, he chooses a new name -- Kick-Ass -- assembles a suit and mask to wear, and gets to work fighting crime. There's only one problem standing in his way: Kick-Ass has absolutely no superpowers. His life is forever changed as he inspires a subculture of copy cats, is hunted by assorted violent and unpleasant characters, and meets up with a pair of crazed vigilantes, including an 11-year-old sword-wielding dynamo, Hit Girl and her father, Big Daddy.

Here's the movie trailer for Sean Bean's latest film, Cash. Cash is a action crime/thriller written and directed by Stephen Milburn Anderson based on a story about what a human being is capable of when pushed to the limit. It will be on theaters this month.

CBS Films has released a new movie trailer for the film Beastly. Starring Vanessa Hudgens, Alex Pettyfer, Mary-Kate Olsen, Neil Patrick Harris, Peter Krause, Lisa Gay Hamilton and directed by Daniel Barnz, the film will be released in July 2010.

Synopsis: Kyle Kingson has it all – looks, intelligence, wealth and opportunity – and a wicked cruel streak. Prone to mocking and humiliating "aggressively unattractive" classmates, he zeroes in on Goth classmate Kendra, inviting her to the school's extravagant environmental bash. Kendra accepts, and, true to form, Kyle blows her off in a particularly savage fashion. She retaliates by casting a spell that physically transforms him into everything he despises. Enraged by his horrible and unrecognizable appearance he confronts Kendra and learns that the only solution to the curse is to find someone that will love him as he is – a task he considers impossible. Magnolia Pictures has released the movie trailer for Damon Wayans' latest film, Harlen Aria. A comedy/drama film to be released some time this year, 2010!

Synopsis: Anton (Gabriel Casseus) isnt like the other guys in Harlem. He is 28 years old and a little slow, but has a heart of gold and an extraordinary singing voice. Because of his deficit, Antons never had a chance to realize the dream that sets him apart in his working class neighborhood: to become a world class opera singer.

His over-protective Auntie, whom he lives with, is unable to accept that Anton is no longer a child, nor that his dream of singing opera is serious. All she sees are the obstacles her nephew faces daily: his dead-end job as a laundry worker with a manipulative boss, the local drug dealer who enjoys exploiting the overly trusting Anton for his own gain, and the neighborhood children who mimic his slow speech and stunted walk. When two teenagers bully Anton because of his opera singing, Auntie, frightened for his safety, argues with Anton that he give up his opera foolishness. But, rather than give up his dream, he runs away from home determined to find his rightful place in the world.

Life on New Yorks streets is hard and Anton is soon conned out of his money by Wes (Damon Wayans), a quick-witted street hustler. Homeless, he wanders the streets, panhandling in Washington Square Park, where he encounters Matthew (Christian Camargo), a charismatic 30 year old, playing popular piano tunes for tips. Anton and Matthew team up to earn money and gain exposure, but Matthews real intentions arent immediately recognizable to the trusting Anton. Only when Wes returns with a surprising offer to manage Antons career does an unlikely friendship form between the three men, each one trying desperately to change the course of their lives and pursue their dreams.

The second trailer for the upcoming film, Prince of Persia, has been released. The film is being produced by Jerry Bruckheimer, one of my favorite directors. As said before, I was such a HUGE fan of the video game when I was a teenager so, the least thing I could do is watch the film. Besides, it looks really good so far!

Synopsis: Set in 9th century medieval Persia, a young adventurous prince uncovers a dangerous artifact in a remote mountain kingdom and with the help of an enemy princess, must stop a despot from unleashing a sandstorm that could destroy all mankind.

Well, we finally enjoyed The 82nd Academy Awards ceremony last night and all the Winners were revealed. Congratulations to all the winners, I'm sure they really deserved it. I really enjoyed watching the movies nominated.

There were some really good surprises and moments during this ceremony. For example, a large majority of the nominations were "first time nominees". Another interesting thing I noticed was that most of the winners were "first time nominees" also. For example: Sandra Bullock, Mo'nique, Christoph Waltz, etc. It was also interesting to know that Jeff Bridges had to wait 40 years to win his first Oscar! He's been nominated 5 times, his first nomination was 40 years ago.

I'm glad for the results, it showed that the people voting for these winners focused on the talent and performance (just like Mo'Nique recognized it). They showed that an Oscar for Best Picture is not based on how many years you spend making a movie, the amazing and advanced technology used, the huge amount spent for the project and especially, for breaking all records of audience and profits. Last night we saw the best picture award offered to a "low budget" film, with tons of problems finding a distributor who could trust on this project, and with a good and barely famous cast. I'm glad for the results.
